Barefaced confession

  Brazen confession

"When they were fourteen, the two of them were assigned to different classes. That year, the girl was fourteen years old, and the boy never had another chance to stay in the same classroom with her again. However, he still stayed in the classroom every day, waiting until the little girl came out of another class, seeing her off as she rode her bicycle away from school before packing up his bag and leaving."

"That year, facing the high school entrance exam, she had her heart set on attending a key school. Since her family was not well-off and she had two younger brothers in school, her parents only agreed to pay for her to attend a key high school. He knew that girl had always been very hardworking, but her grades just couldn't seem to improve."

"One evening, the girl suddenly ran into his classroom with a math problem and asked him to teach her how to solve it."

That was the first time he had seen the girl's face at such a close distance, her skin was very good, as white and tender as yours, her eyes were as clear as spring water. He pretended to be calm and explained every detail of the problem to her, but in fact, his heart was tense with anxiety, his palms were all sweaty. The girl had no idea about his nervousness, she listened attentively, asking him questions from time to time. From then on, she would come to the classroom to find him every evening, letting him help her explain math problems, just like before, in the same classroom, until sunset.

Zhang's attention was gradually drawn in, and her head unknowingly turned around, her clear eyes staring blankly at him.

He didn't even realize that he had been trapped in his own thoughts, slowly sinking into memories: "It's been half a year like this, except for explaining math problems to her, he hadn't talked about anything else with the girl, and she never asked him about anything else either."

"At that time, the college entrance examination was approaching, and they would be going their separate ways. He feared that if she were to attend a different school, he would no longer have the opportunity to spend time with her. Summoning his courage, he asked which school she hoped to attend. She hesitated before telling him the name of the school she had in mind - the best high school in the city. Given her current grades, the prospect of being accepted into that school was extremely slim."

It wasn't until later that he found out she had an agreement with her parents, if she didn't get into a good school, she would have to go back home and help with the farm work, then after a few years prepare to get married, or else go out and find work. It was likely that there wouldn't be another chance like now to sit together in the same classroom, talk to her, and teach her how to solve problems. So he made the boldest decision of his life.

At this point, Zhang's tension became apparent.

Zhen Ming slowly said: "He decided to confess to her, so he spent several days and nights writing a very long love letter, bought a rose, and secretly put it in her school bag during physical education class on Valentine's Day."

He paused for a moment and remained silent for a long time.

She finally couldn't help but ask in a low voice: "What happened next?"

Later on, she started going out with a tall and handsome boy in her class who was the class president and came from a well-off family.

Zhang's face showed a look of disappointment upon hearing this, it was a clumsy and depressing story.

Zhen Ming continued bitterly: "Watching her being led by the hand by that boy every day after class, laughing and chatting together. From that day on, he never stayed in the classroom to study again after school."

"Months passed like this and the middle school entrance exam ended. The girl didn't get into a key middle school, but her class monitor got in because his family had money."

Zhen Ming's bitter words stopped abruptly at this point, and a hint of painful expression flashed across his eyes.

Perhaps feeling his emotional repression and indignation, Zhang also became tense.

He said slowly: "On the day he received his transcript, he saw her jump from the fourth floor of the school with his own eyes, head down, and hit the cement floor."

As he said this, Zhang's body trembled noticeably.

Zhen Ming's voice was unusually calm: "That boy thought she did this because she didn't get into college, but later, the hospital's autopsy report said that she had been pregnant for two months."

When she said this, Zhen Ming's face looked somewhat painful: "The class leader came from a well-known and respected family, and when he found out that she was pregnant, in order not to affect his studies, on the day of the exam results, the class leader called her and told her that he wanted to break up with her."

"After her funeral, he went to the home of that tall boy, in front of his parents, and used an iron rod to break the other's hands and feet. He kicked him frantically in the lower body until he was kicked rotten and exploded."

Zhen Ming's tone was extremely calm, as if he were talking about something trivial and unrelated to his pain. However, Zhang couldn't help but shiver.

He was sentenced to five years for causing serious injury and after being released from prison, he went to work as a migrant worker everywhere.

"Years later, he met a middle school classmate who was working together in a factory. He told the boy that it was the monitor of their class who had secretly signed his name on the letter given to her when they were in third year of junior high school, and she only started going out with the monitor after reading that letter."

Zhen Ming's face twisted in agony: "It wasn't until then that he realized, all of this was actually caused by his own hands. If it weren't for the letter he wrote and the rose he sent, she wouldn't have ended up with that classmate. Maybe she would have gotten into a good school and met a man who is a thousand times, ten thousand times better than that scoundrel..."

"How can you blame him..." Zhang finally spoke up in a soft voice, of course she knew he was talking about his own story.

Zhen Ming smiled bitterly and turned her head to wipe the corner of her eye, pressing her hand tightly against her chest. "It wasn't until a few days ago that I realized I had made the same mistake again."

He looked at Zhang, who didn't dare to look him in the eye, and said slowly: "Ge Ge, I've figured it out. I can no longer be timid and fearful like before. On the way to the clinic that day when I was holding you, I made a silent vow to myself that as long as you came back to life, no matter who it was, they wouldn't be able to take you away from me again. I won't retreat anymore. I'll pursue what I want. I want to sleep with your fragrant body in my arms, taste your sweet lips every day, and wake up every morning to see you sleeping like a little pig beside me. I want you to give birth to a brood of little Ge Ges for me..."

Listening to Zhenming's almost shameless and straightforward confession, Zhang's pretty face had already turned as red as a rose, hot like fire.

Zhen Ming gazed at her, speaking slowly and deliberately: "E'E, will you marry me? I won't let you suffer anymore, I won't let anyone bully you. For the rest of my life, I'll cherish and love you, not even uttering a harsh word to you."

Zhang stared blankly at him, completely at a loss.
