  ((This chapter contains suicide))

We could make it back to each other.

  I read Newt’s note again.

I knew that if there was any chance of me being happy, Newt wouldn’t want me to do it.

  I

  Love

  You

  So

  So

  So

  Much

  I love you

  So

  Much.

The note lay crumpled in my hand as I squeezed it, trying to hold back the tears.

  I wanted out.

I picked up a mud dipped stick and started carefully writing on the back of Newt’s note.

I could have gotten a pencil.

  I couldn’t wait that long.

I formed each letter carefully, but rushidly.

When I finished it, I set it down by the place I slept. I placed a rock on it to make sure it stayed there.

As I walked slowly towards the cliff, what I had written echoed in my mind.

  Goodbye.

My legs felt tired as I walked

Thank you for being my friends, but

  Was this how Newt felt?

I just can’t take it anymore.

The darkness left over from night had started to fade.

  I’m sorry. Really.

My senses felt new, and fresh.

I just can’t live life with every little thing reminding me of what I lost.

  I heard the birds chirping.

  What I’ll find.

This time it didn’t remind me of Newt.

  So, goodbye.

I held one leaf in each hand.

I love you, and want every single one of you to be happy but,

I stood at the edge of the cliff.

It's time for me to find Newt.

  I jumped.

  Goodbye.

Maybe everything would be okay after all.

As the sun rose, I fell.
