Wandering...

  Two moons have passed since I began moving through the forest and everywhere I walk the scenery stays the same, endless beautiful trees in every direction casting shadows on the snowy ndscape.

  I'm not sure where I am going... or what I am doing... I simply walk and walk listening to the snow crunch beneath me as I try to drown out the unpleasant feelings in the back of my mind.

  Sometimes I see other things on my walk... small and fragile things, some walking, some flying through the air. Some make such beautiful harmonies with one another while others chatter in hushed tones, all so different but all so beautiful in their own ways.

  But whenever I show up they flee... why dont they like me... did I do something wrong... or is it because I am different, I try to make beautiful noises like they do yet nothing comes out, I try to fly or climb as they do but i cannot... why am I this way...

  I y down on the ground and stare up back again towards the sky... I... I don't belong here, I close my eyes trying to listen to the sounds of the forest as my mind spirals further and further...

  *SNAP*

  I jolt upright at the sudden noise frantically looking around to find the source of it, Standing there a few trees away is... a thing... a human? I clutch my head, my mind yet again understands what this is even if I do not. The human looks back at me in... fear? unease? it holds something at it's hip while staring at me, it's gaze is piercing yet I can't not be enamoured by how beautiful it is.

  Hazel eyes reflected in the sunlight, dark hair braided on one side and wild unkempt on the other, light tan skin contrasted against the snowy ndscape around us. It's as if everything froze, in that moment it was just the two of us as everything else seemed to fade into the background... but then it spoke.

  "What are you?"

  I feel my whole body tense up and freeze, the words echoing in my mind back and forth. I try to say something back... say anything, I grasp my head twisting and turning it trying to mimic the motions the human made... trying to just make any sound... anything... yet nothing comes out... nothing...
