Following...

  I follow the human as we walk through the trees and snow, the moon rising overhead bathing the forest in pale light. The human occasionally turns back to look at me with a smile then continues moving forwards, every time it looks back at me I feel the warmth in my chest rise and fall... I wish I understood why...

  Soon we both arrive at a clearing, a ring of stones and wood at it's centre. The human crouches down next to the stones and beckons me over "You're welcome to sit anywhere you like big one."

  Big one... that is.. me yes?.. I... I do not like this name...

  But how do I tell it that...

  My thoughts and feelings swirl as I try to push them into the far reaches of my mind, is it normal to think like this... does the human also think like I do... or is it yet another thing wrong with me...

  As I stand there lost in my thoughts the human speaks up "Hey just checking... you can understand me right? Like what I'm saying?" I do understand but how do I convey that... I cannot speak as it does... so how do I-

  As if reading my thoughts the human speaks yet again "Nod your head up and down for yes and shake your head side to side for no... but I guess you wouldn't be able to say no if you didn't understand what I'm saying right now anyway... hmm."

  I follow the instructions and nod unsure if I'm doing it right.

  "aha so you do understand me! that makes things a lot easier." The human fshes me a big toothy grin before turning back to the wood pile.

  Then suddenly a fme appears before my eyes, not blue like I am used to but a red and orange hue. It dances on the human's fingertips before the circle in front of me sets afme basking everything in a warm glow. The human looks up at me and ughs "I didn't expect you to be so intrigued considering your core is fire, but I suppose you don't really see inside yourself."

  My core... the blue fmes are... me? I put my hands to my chest and feel the warmth emanating from within.

  "You're lucky I showed up when I did, I'm not sure how you were still functioning on so little embers."

  The human begins to pull out various objects from a pouch and hangs them over the fme before speaking once more "The names Senna by the way, I'm uh not sure if mana constructs have names... do you have one?"

  I shake my head.

  "hmm, are you ok with me calling you big one for now then?"

  I shake my head even faster.

  "oh you don't like that one? sorry." Senna looks up at me with an apologetic expression on it's face "Then how about blue? Like the fmes in your eyes."

  Blue... I don't feel anything for this name but it causes me less distress than the other one... so I will accept it for now.

  I slowly nod my head.

  Senna nods back with a smile "Blue it is then, nice to meet you."

  I try to smile back... but I cannot...
