Questions...

  So many questions... but no way to answer any of them...

  I sat there for a long time that night, watching as the fme in front of me disappeared slowly... the darkness taking it's pce.Does the fme realise it is disappearing, does it feel the darkness surrounding it, does it feel the unpleasant thoughts flooding into it's mind...

  Or does it not think at all.

  I look up out of my trance as the sun slowly begins to take it's pce in the sky. Does the sun... think...? How does it know what to do every day, how does it know when it is time to rise and when it is time to set...? Fme... we are all fme yet we are so different, the fire stuck in pce unable to move as it fades away, the giant ball of fire up above us on its long journey through the sky... and the fire sitting here... thinking about it all..

  I sit there staring up as the faint blue light in the sky overtakes the darkness around me, the warmth in my chest slowly swaying with the rhythm of the trees and wind. If only I could speak like Senna could, then maybe... just maybe I would get answers to all of these questions floating in my mind...

  ...

  "Good morning Blue."

  I startle and quickly twist my head to side to see Senna standing next to me wiping something from their eyes, hair in that same half unkempt half braided style from yesterday.

  "Did you end up getting any rest st night?"

  Senna looks at me with a slight smile, hazel eyes glistening in the sunlight as the world around me goes out of focus.

  "I'm sorry about the whole campfire thing st night, I'll make sure to keep it going longer next time ok?"

  My mind doesn't take any of their words in, I just simply stare into their eyes as the warmth in my chest grows. So lovely so kind to something like me... I- I am gd they are ok... that is what this feeling in my chest is yes...

  I blink a few times and see Senna waving their hand in front of my face... when did... I didn't even notice.

  "Hello? Blue are you awake in there? Hello?!?"

  I blink and slowly nod my head.

  "Phew, you had me worried for a second there." Senna lets out a hearty ugh that makes the warmth inside me spiral even faster then before. "I just wanted to ask if you wanted to come back to my vilge with me? It's a day or two walks away if you're ok with that haha."

  Vilge...? ...

  Senna seemingly understanding that I don't get it speaks again. "It's where I live, a pce where a whole bunch of humans like me gather together to form a community."

  Community... other humans... I wonder if they all look as lovely as Senna does... do they-

  "Hahaha your thinking face is so cute Blue."

  C-cute...? what does that-

  "Hahaha so what do you say Blue? Wanna come along?"

  Senna looks down at me, hand outstretched towards me. A smile so bright... so blinding it obscures everything else around me...

  One day... I'd like to smile like that too...

  And Senna will be the first to see it.
