Gohan messaged Zangya and Vanadis letting them know that he was going to spend the day with his family and that they should stop by when they had the time since he knew they were both busy. The first thing he saw once his house appeared over the horizon was his mother outside tending to the undry with Goten sitting under what he referred to as the ‘homework tree’ doing what the name implied.

  Goten suddenly looked up hearing him nd, “Big Brother!” he shouted, making his mother look up as Goten dropped everything and started running towards him as he walked forward.

  “Hey, Goten.” Gohan chuckled, catching him as he jumped into the air.

  “Gohan!” Chi-Chi said walking over to meet him, to hug him.

  “Hey, mom.” Gohan said returning her hug. “Are you busy today?”

  “...Not that busy. Why?” Chi-Chi asked, looking up at him.

  “Good, can you pack some food for us?” Gohan asked, giving her a smile.

  “…Yes, I can. why?” Chi-Chi asked, looking at him.

  “I just realized that with me dealing with moving, getting things ready for school, training, and my experiments that I’ve been spreading myself thin. So, I decided to take a break and spend it with my family.” Gohan replied smiling at her and Goten.

  “Really?” Goten asked, looking at him with a smile.

  “Yup, I thought we could go to the ke and have a family picnic and maybe go swimming after.” Gohan answered nodding at Goten who smiled wider. “How does that sound?”

  “Great, can we go mom!?” Goten asked turning to look at her.

  “…hmm, ok sounds great, let me go pack a few things.” Chi-Chi replied, with a smile, “I will be right back.” She said, walking towards the house.

  “Thank you, do you need some help?” Gohan asked walking with her.

  “No, I’ll be fine, but can you help Goten finish his homework while I get things ready?” Chi-Chi asked, gncing back at him.

  “You got it.” Gohan answered with a nod, “Come on Goten, the faster we finish this the more time we can have for fun.” He said walking over to help Goten.

  Gohan was sitting underneath a tree, near the bank of a rge ke, with his family, Raditz, Launch and Ginne had joined them after his mom extended them an invitation, “…Gohan, have you settled in alright?” Good Launch asked.

  “Yeah, I finished moving in and dealt with all the st-minute things needed to finish my enrollment, I’m all set to start css in April.” Gohan replied with a nod.

  “That’s great.” Launch said, smiling at him.

  “D-does that mean you’ll have less time to py with me?” Goten asked, looking at him.

  “No, I promise that I’ll do my best to always make time for you…both of you.” Gohan added, looking at Ginnie who gave him a smile, “…How about I take you guys to the amusement park this week so we can spend time together.”

  “Yeah, that’s amazing, can I mom?” Goten asked turning to look at Chi-Chi.

  “…I don’t see the problem with that as long as you finish all your homework in time.” Chi-Chi said nodding her head.

  “Same for you Ginnie.” Launch said, looking at Ginnie who nodded eagerly.

  “Great, I’ll let you guys know when we’ll go.” Gohan said smiling at them, “…Oh! That reminds me will you guys be up for a double date with me and Zangya sometime this week?” he added looking at Raditz and Launch.

  “That sounds wonderful!” Launch said cpping her hands with a smile.

  “I…A-are you sure?” Raditz asked looking at him, “I don’t think it’s normal for a nephew to have a double date with his uncle and aunt…right?”

  “It will be fine. I mean me and Vanadis had one with Krillin and 18 recently, and I promised Zangya we would go on one too.” Gohan answered shrugging, “…plus I don’t know anyone my own age that I could ask or that we could have a proper conversation with.” He added.

  “Hmm, you have a point…well as long as you’re ok with then we’re ok with it.” Raditz said shrugging his shoulders.

  “Wonderful, I can’t wait.” Launch said smiling,

  “Great, I’ll message you when I have a day picked out.” Gohan said standing up.

  “Sounds good.” Raditz said nodding his head, “What are you going to do now?”

  “I’m thinking about going for a swim do you guys want to join me?” Gohan asked, looking at Goten and Ginnie.

  “Yeah! Let’s go!” Goten shouted jumping up.

  “Yeah, sounds fun.” Ginnie said nodding her head.

  “I think we’ll sit this one out.” Raditz said, sitting back down, and hugging Launch who snuggled back against him.

  “I’m fine but, you guys enjoy yourself.” Chi-Chi said, smiling at them.

  “Ok, then, looks like it’s just us.” Gohan said taking his shirt off, and turning towards Goten and Ginnie, “Race you?” he asked.

  “Yeah!” they shouted, nodding their heads.

  “Ok then…Last one in is a rotten egg!” Gohan shouting as he took off flying towards the ke.

  “Hey! You cheated!” Ginnie shouted flying after him.

  “Hey! No fair I can’t fly!” Goten shouted running after them.

  They pyed in the water spshing each other, swimming and just floating in the waters, Gohan soon felt himself rexing bit by bit the stress he was putting on himself fading as he just enjoyed himself. In the background he heard his mother, Chi-Chi, Raditz, and Launch ughing at their antics, “Master Roshi was right, sometimes you need to just take a moment to rex and enjoy yourself.” He thought with a smile as the three of them posed for a picture, before taking a group one.

  Gohan ended up sleeping at home, deciding to continue rexing and spending time with his family, Zangya stopped by at the end of the day to eat dinner with them while Vanadis called him apologizing for not being able to make it. She expined that her and Bulma were close to a breakthrough with an important project, but Gohan told her that she had nothing to apologize for and that he would stop by ter tomorrow to eat lunch with her, something she happily agreed to letting him know that she would make time for him.

  Gohan woke up to a message arriving on his phone early in morning, “Can you get that.” Zangya mumbled from his side.

  “Ye…Yeah.” Gohan yawned, reaching over to the nightstand to pick up the phone, he blinked his eyes as he read the message surprised by who sent it, momentarily forgetting that she had his number.

  ‘Hey, sorry to bother you this early, but me and a few friends are pnning on going to the beach this afternoon and I wanted to know if you wanted to come. Oh, this is Erasa by the way.’

  “Who is it from?” Zangya asked.

  “…From Erasa.” Gohan replied, showing her the message.

  “Huh, I forgot I gave her your number.” Zangya muttered, “Are you going to go?”

  “…No.” Gohan said shaking his head.

  “Why not?” Zangya asked.

  “I promised V that I would eat lunch with her today, since she felt bad for not being able to make it yesterday.” Gohan replied, as he began to message back.

  “Right...” Zangya said nodding her head, “Wait! Don’t write that.” She said, stopping him from sending the message.

  “…Why not?” Gohan asked, gncing at her. “What’s wrong with it?” he asked rereading the message, ‘Sorry, I can’t make it.’

  “Nothing is wrong with it, but it will be better if you let her know that you would love to come, but you’ve already made pns for this afternoon. Also make sure to thank her for inviting you while promising that you will try and make it next time.” Zangya said looking at him.

  “…Ok.” Gohan said, shrugging not seeing anything wrong with adding a little more.

  “Good, now you can send it.” Zangya said nodding as she reread the message before he sent it, “Now come snuggle with me some more, before you leave to meet V.” She added snuggling up to him.

  “Alright.” Gohan chuckled as he held her and closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth of her next to him.

  A few hours ter Gohan had lunch with Vanadis and was now standing behind a screen in the middle of the Capsule Corp b while Vanadis called out measurements to Bulma who wrote them down on the other side, “…got it.” Bulma replied, after Vanadis told her the final measurement.

  “Ok, thanks.” Vanadis replied.

  “No, problem.” Bulma answered, “Can’t keep out of trouble, can you?” she chuckled as he and Vanadis stepped out from behind the screen.

  “…Hey, it’s not my fault Satan City seems to attract so many criminals.” Gohan said, shaking his head, “I’m just doing what I can to stop innocent people from getting hurt.”

  “Hey, I got no problem with it, I think what you’re doing is great, but I do have a concern.” Bulma said, looking at him.

  “What is it?” Gohan asked.

  “What do you pn to do once you start csses?” Bulma asked.

  “What do you mean?” Gohan replied.

  “Well, what are you going to do if there’s a crime happening while you’re in css how will you stop it? It’s not like you can raise your hand and say, ‘hey, can I be excused I need to go stop a crime.’” Bulma answered.

  “I…you have a good point. I mean I could probably get away with it once or twice but eventually someone might connect the dots.” Gohan said with realization. “I don’t know what I’m going to do, I really haven’t put that much thought into this, I just wanted something to prevent people from recognizing me.”

  “Well, you should probably think of how to deal with that, because while you are fast, I doubt even you can’t be in two pces at once.” Bulma said.

  “I…you have a point.” Gohan nodded in agreement, “…I don’t know what to do.”

  “Can’t you use that cloning technique?” Vanadis asked, from where she was drawing up some designs for his outfit. “You know the one you use for training.” She added gncing up.

  “…Can you!?” Bulma asked, turning towards him.

  “I…maybe?” Gohan said, tilting his head to the side, “I’ve never really tested it out for anything besides training. I know that they’re cable of some form of independent thought since they can attack on their own, but I don’t know everything about the technique. I’ll need to test it out ter to see what I can really do with it…want to help me?” he added looking at Vanadis.

  “Yeah, I’ve been curious about the technique, and I would love to study it some more.” Vanadis said nodding her head.

  “Great, I’ll let you know when I’m going to start experimenting.” Gohan said, giving her a smile.

  “Great, I should also have a working protype of your outfit by the end of today, I’ll bring it to you when I come over for dinner tonight.” Vanadis said.

  “Sounds good, I’ll leave you to it then.” Gohan said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, and waving at Bulma before he Instant Transmissioned back home.

  (Gohan’s Room)

  “This is amazing.” Gohan said smiling as he checked his reflection in the mirror, he was in a green gi, with a bck bodysuit underneath it, white gloves and boots, a red cape behind him, and a purple eye visor in the shape of sungsses. The eye visor changed the color of his eyes and hair to match his Super Saiyan form.

  “Yeah, you did an amazing job V.” Zangya said, from where she was sitting.

  “This is just a prototype, to see if you liked the design.” Vanadis replied. “I still need to fine tone a few more things like adding something to disguise your voice but, I’m happy you like it.”

  “I love it… you know that you’re amazing right.” Gohan said, turning to her and smiling at her.

  “I-It’s nothing.” Vanadis said, looking down at her clipboard, a small blush on her face.

  “No, you’ve outdone yourself and I’m looking forward to the finished design.” Gohan said, walking up to her and giving her a hug and kiss, “Thank you.” He whispered

  “Y-You’re welcome.” Vanadis said, returning the hug, “Can you give me the watch back? I need to do some more work on it.” She said clearing her throat and stepping back.

  “Yeah, sure.” Gohan said, pressing the button on the watch that Vanadis had given him, making the outfit disappear, “Here you go.” He said handing it back.

  “Thank you, I’ll need to tinker with it a bit more, but I should have something by tomorrow or the next day.” Vanadis said, putting the watch into her b coat.

  “Sounds good.” Gohan said, smiling at her.

  They were then interrupted by a knock on his door from Goten letting them know that dinner was ready, they then headed downstairs and had dinner together not talking about much just enjoying their time together. After dinner Vanadis gave him a hug and kiss before leaving telling him that she was going to add a few more things to the watch and that she would be heading to Capsule Corp the next morning.

  The next morning Gohan decided to take Goten, Ginnie, to the amusement park as promised he also decided to bring Trunks along, deciding that they should enjoy some time doing kid things something that he didn’t have much of growing up. Zangya came along, since Bulma didn’t need her help, and she thought Gohan would need an extra set of eyes to watch the three kids.

  After a few hours of fun riding different rides, they decided to get some food when someone walked up to their table, “Excuse me!” they said making them look up.

  “Ye-Erasa!” Gohan uttered seeing who it was.

  “Gohan! I thought that was you.” Erasa said, smiling at him.

  “Hey, what are you doing here?” Gohan asked, greeting her.

  “I’ve been wanting to come here for a while, but I didn’t want to come alone so I decided to drag Videl along.” Erasa answered.

  “Oh, she’s here too?” Gohan asked, gncing around, remembering how weird it was with her just staring at him st time they met.

  “Yeah, she’s getting us some food, while I get us a table.” Erasa replied.

  “Huh.” Gohan muttered, “That’s nice of her.”

  “Yeah, since I paid for the tickets, she insisted on buying lunch, she’s nice like that.” Erasa replied, with a found smile.

  “Hello, Erasa, nice to see you again.” Zangya said, smiling at her. “Please sit with us, while you wait.”

  “Oh! Hello, Zangya.” Erasa said, nodding at her, “Is that ok?”

  “Yeah, the more the merrier.” Zangya said, looking at Gohan, who nodded.

  “Thank you.” Erasa said sitting down, “Are these your little brothers and sister?” she asked looking at Goten, Ginnie, and Trunks.

  “Oh! Right…yeah, they are.” Gohan answered with a nod, “This is Ginnie, Trunks, and Goten.” He said, gesturing towards them, “Guys this is Erasa she’s going to be my cssmate.”

  “Hello/Nice to meet you.” They said, waving at her.

  “Oh, they’re so cute!” Erasa said, smiling at them, “That’s a very beautiful bow.” She added, turning towards Ginnie.

  “T-thank you, Gohan made it for me for my birthday.” Ginnie said, lightly touching the bow, slightly embarrassed by the sudden attention.

  “You made her bow?” Erasa asked, looking up at him in surprise.

  “Yeah, it wasn’t that hard.” Gohan answered.

  “Wow! That’s incredible.” Erasa said smiling at him. “So, you know how to sew clothes?”

  “I…Yeah, I know a little.” Gohan said scratching his cheek.

  “Oh, don’t downpy it.” Zangya said from beside him, “Gohan knows how to sew pretty well, he’s even made a few training outfits for us.”

  “R-really!?” Erasa replied, looking at him in awe, “I mean it’s clear that he works out.” Erasa muttered softly, giving Gohan a once over something he failed to notice as his attention was drawn to someone shouting.

  “Erasa!” the person shouted.

  Gohan looked up to see, Videl walking towards them with two trays of food, “Videl!” Erasa excimed, standing up and hurrying over to help her, Videl’s eyes narrowed when they saw him. Videl and Erasa soon started whispering amongst themselves for a bit, with Videl making not so subtle gnces towards him while shaking her head before Erasa came back over to their table, “I’m sorry but we’re going to look for another table, since there’s not enough room for all of us.”

  “Oh, don’t worry, we finished eating. We’re going to ride a few more rides before heading home, maybe we’ll run into each other ter.” Zangya said looking at Gohan.

  “Really?” Erasa asked.

  “Yeah! Let’s go!” Goten shouted happily answering for them, as he stood up ready to leave.

  “…Oh, yeah ok, thank you.” Erasa said, nodding slowly.

  “Goten wait, we need to throw our trash away first.” Gohan called out.

  “Oh, right sorry.” Goten chuckled, coming back to pick up his trash.

  “Gohan, you go ahead first, I want to talk with Erasa a bit.” Zangya said, nodding at him.

  “…Ok, we’ll wait for you.” Gohan said standing up, “It was nice to see you again Erasa.” He said with a nod before heading towards the trash cans, with the kids.

  “You think he looks good now, wait until you see him with his shirt off.” Zangya replied, once Gohan was out of ear shot.

  “Y…you heard that!?” Erasa asked, embarrassed, as Zangya nodded with a grin, “I…I’m so sorry!”

  “It’s fine.” Zangya said waving her off, “I know how attractive he is, and I don’t mind you or other girls looking as long as that’s all you do… understood!” she added staring right into Erasa’s eyes making her swallow nervously as she nodded slowly, “Good…Although, if you want to do more than look, you need to run it by me first.” She whispered into Erasa’s ear making her go bright red.

  “I…I…” Erasa stammered.

  “Goodbye, Erasa, it was nice to see you again.” Zangya said, chuckling as she headed to where Gohan was waiting.

  Gohan spent the rest of the week taking it easy, not doing any serious training or any experiments, he just helped his mom around the house, helped Goten and Ginnie with their homework, pyed games with them, and Trunks, when he stopped by. He even took time to teach Goten how to fly after he had asked, he continued taking it easy all the way up to Friday evening, where he found himself standing next to Raditz drying dishes while Zangya and Good Launch talked in the living room after their double date.

  “You cook really well.” Raditz said, handing him a pte.

  “Thank you.” Gohan answered taking the pte and drying it, “…Can I ask you for some advice?”

  “Sure, what is it?” Raditz asked, gncing at him.

  “Do you remember Cooler asking if he could come back ter to test his men’s progress against us?” Gohan answered, putting the pte away.

  “Yes.” Raditz nodded slowly, “Are they on their way?”

  “Not yet, he told Zangya that he still had a few more things to deal with before making his way towards us.” Gohan replied.

  “Ok, then what do you need help with?” Raditz asked, “If it’s fighters you know I don’t mind especially if they’ve gotten stronger.”

  “No, not that…although that’s good to know.” Gohan replied.

  “Then what do you need advice on?” Raditz asked.

  “I need help with what to tell Vegeta about Cooler since, he wasn’t here st time, and I don’t think he’ll react to well to the idea of suddenly sensing Cooler’s energy one day.” Gohan answered.

  “Wait! He doesn’t know!?” Raditz excimed, surprised.

  “No…at least I don’t think so.” Gohan replied shaking his head, “I mean if he knew, he probably would have said something to me about letting Cooler go but he hasn’t so I’m guessing he doesn’t know.”

  “Huh…you may have a point.” Raditz nodded, “Although, if he did know I think there might be a part of him that would be proud of Cooler himself admitting that he couldn’t beat you.”

  “…Really?” Gohan asked.

  “Yeah.” Raditz nodded, “Despite his…attitude I know that Vegeta is proud that you are living up to your Saiyan potential, by continuing to grow stronger. Even if that part is small, and he would never admit out loud.” He added with a chuckle.

  “Yeah, that’s true.” Gohan said chuckling as well.

  “…I wouldn’t worry too much about what Vegeta will say.” Raditz said, “Just let him know what happened and about the deal you have with Cooler, if he doesn’t know already. I think he might let things slide since he could fight someone new and strong.”

  “…do you think things will go better if tell him that Cooler is bringing some schematics for us to build a few things including our own healing chamber?” Gohan asked.

  “I…yeah, that should help a bit.” Raditz nodded, as they finished washing the dishes. “Honestly there’s no way to guess how Vegeta will react so be prepared for anything and let him know beforehand, if he doesn’t know so he has time to adjust to the idea.”

  “I’ll do that, thanks for the help.” Gohan said smiling as they headed back to the living room. “I’ve been trying to think of what to tell him for a while, and you helped me out a lot.” He said sitting down next to Zangya.

  “Yeah, no problem.” Raditz said, sitting down next to Launch, “Although, the only problem I can see, is him wanting to fight Cooler himself first.”

  “I…right, that will be something he tries.” Gohan said shaking his head, with a smile. “I won’t mind, if he fights Cooler first, I’ll just have to be sure to stock up on senzu beans first.”

  “That’s not a bad idea.” Raditz agreed. “Do you know when he’ll arrive?” he asked Zangya.

  “No.” Zangya replied shaking her head, “He just told me he will let me know before he starts heading this way.”

  “…That’s good, that means I have some time to get some extra training in.” Raditz said, with a smile, “You up for it?” he asked looking at Gohan.

  “…Not right now.” Gohan said shaking his head, “I’m still taking it easy…I’ll let you know when I start training again.”

  “Sure, no problem.” Raditz replied. “I’ll probably do some training with Ginnie and Piccolo…maybe both of them.”

  “That sounds like fun, can I join you guys?” Zangya asked.

  “Yeah, sure the more the merrier.” Raditz replied, with a smile. “I’ll probably set something up with Ginnie tomorrow.”

  “Great, I’ll join you guys.” Zangya responded smiling back.

  “Sounds great.” Raditz said with a nod.

  They continued talking for a while longer before Gohan and Zangya bid them goodbye, as they head home after promising to have another double date again in the future.

  Gohan woke up the following day to Zangya’s messenger going off, “Who is it?” Gohan mumbled as Zangya sat up to answer.

  “…It’s Cooler.” Zangya replied rubbing the sleep form her eyes, “He says that they’ve left and will be here in a few months.”

  “…really?” Gohan replied sitting up, “Does he say how long they will take?”

  “…3 to 4 months give or take.” Zangya answered, “He also says that he’s bring you a surprise.”

  “Does he say what it is?” Gohan asked.

  “Not really, all he says it’s something they’ve been working on that should help contain the fallout of the fights.” Zangya said, showing him the message.

  “Huh…he also says that it still needs some tweaks and that he’s bringing some scientist so they can work alongside ours.” Gohan read, “…that sounds pretty useful.” He muttered reading the rest of the message.

  “Yeah, it does if it can contain the fallout from your fights, then it will be very useful.” Zangya replied.

  “Yeah…” Gohan nodded, “I should probably give Bulma and V a heads up about Cooler needing some help with something.”

  “Yeah, that’s a good idea.” Zangya agreed, “Are you going to head over now?”

  “No, I’m going to make some lunch for V first.” Gohan answered gncing at the time.

  “Ok, have fun, I’ll let Raditz know about Cooler when I train with him today.” Zangya said, getting up and started stretching.

  Gohan watched her in silence as the sun’s rays hit her body, wondering how he got so lucky, she was dressed in a nice set of purple underwear, something she had started doing more after their talk about her past. Gohan had a few restless nights when she first started sleeping next to him in her underwear, something she did almost every night except on nights when Vanadis was home and wanted to sleep with him.

  Vanadis wasn’t as comfortable sleeping in her underwear as Zangya was, so she wore pajamas whenever she slept with him, something that she admitted that she liked because of how well she slept next to him. Neither of them had done anything more than sleep next to each other and some light kissing, something he was grateful for, even if he had to deal with Zangya teasing him whenever his body reacted to the stimution.

  Zangya never pushed either of them into doing anything more knowing that they weren’t ready for that next step yet, something they were both grateful for, “You should take a picture, it sts longer.” Zangya said, with a smile as she turned around to see him staring.

  “…Do you want to go to the ke tomorrow?” Gohan asked, looking up into her eyes.

  “…just us or with the others?” Zangya asked.

  “Just the two of us.” Gohan answered standing up.

  “…Hmm, sounds good.” Zangya said, smiling at him, “I’m going to get ready.”

  “Great.” Gohan smiled back, watching her as she headed towards the bathroom.

  Gohan went over to Capsule Corp brining a lunch for Vanadis and to let her and Bulma know about Cooler coming in a few months and what he told Zangya, they agreed to help after he expined that it was something that should contain any fallout from their fights. Bulma then left them alone to eat in the garden. While they ate, he noticed a strange looking frog watching them something about it seemed familiar to him, but he couldn’t remember where he’d seen it. When he went to look for it, he couldn’t find it, so he put it out of his mind kissed Vanadis goodbye and headed back home to spend some more time with his family.

  Gohan and Zangya were ying on the bank of one of the many kes surrounding his home, with a bnket and an empty picnic basket, they were lounging under a tree staring up at the passing clouds, through its many branches, he was holding her close. “Not that I don’t mind this, but what brought this on?” Zangya asked.

  “Nothing really, I just wanted to spend some time alone with you.” Gohan replied, “I’ve had a few lunches with Vanadis already, but the two of us haven’t really spent time together, so I thought I fix that.”

  “…ok then, what’s the pn for today?” Zangya answered looking at him.

  “I thought we would, just have a picnic, y here together, and maybe do some swimming ter. I figured that after you spent most of the day training yesterday you would want to take it easy.” Gohan replied, “I hope this is, ok?”

  “Honestly…Yeah, this is perfect.” Zangya replied with a smile, “Especially after the sparring I did yesterday, I could do with a day of doing nothing.” She added snuggling closer to him.

  “Great.” Gohan replied, pulling her closer.

  “C-can we take a nap, before we go for that swim?” Zangya asked in midst of a yawn.

  “Of course, whatever you want.” Gohan responded.

  “G-great.” Zangya yawned before, they slowly drifted off to sleep, only waking when the arm he set went off, “T-that was a good nap.” She said sitting up and stretching.

  “Yeah, I almost don’t want to get up.” Gohan responded sitting up as well.

  “I don’t either, but a swim sounds perfect right now.” Zangya said, standing up and walking towards the edge of the ke.

  “How’s the water?” Gohan asked, watching as Zangya dipped her toe into the water.

  “It’s great.” Zangya replied as she started stripping out of her clothes.

  Gohan swallowed slowly seeing the two-piece green bikini that Zangya wore, it hugged her body tightly leaving almost nothing to his imagination, he knew she was beautiful but seeing her now with the setting sun hitting her just right, and with her in that bikini. The sight stirred a deep almost primal feeling inside him, before he could appreciate more of the sight in front of him, she jumped into the ke breaking his line of sight, until she surfaced throwing her hair back sending water droplets into the air, the sight alone made him swallow slowly again.
