Our Dungeon Master who shall be named Dom was very excited to begin the spell jammers campaign and so we all checked our schedules and got time to meet and begin a one-shot that could turn into a full campaign if we were feeling it.

  Our party members are made up of a Lizard Shifter (Big Lizard Humanoid who can shapeshift into a velociraptor) level one ranger and a level four Druid named Nakai, a Preying Mantis level five warlock named Korn, a human level five fighter named Candarius Newkan, and a Goliath level three ranger and level two cleric named Crush Dim.

  The journey begins in a tavern where our party members are drinking and hanging out when they overhear stories of mass pickpocketing going around. When one of the party members, Crush, was about to inquire about it, the ground began to shake and screams could be heard outside.

  The entire tavern quickly leaves the tavern to see what was causing the commotion and in the distance more than 2000 feet away a large golden vine covered in crystals ascended into the sky past the clouds.

  Thinking about why everyone was screaming a random laser passes by and obliterates a random civilian's arm leaving only dust where their arm once was.

  Quick to react our party turns to find five humanoid figures made of golden vines before them. Nakai and Crush Dim ready their bows and release two arrows as they get close ready for the frontline in combat.

  A bonus mace strike from Crush Dim lands on one of the opponent's square in the face. Quickly after Korn fires a fireball that obliterates three of the golden vine creatures on the right, but the second they parish a giant likely fifty-foot wide golden vine erupts from the ground exactly where they were.

  It knocks over Crush Dim and the other vine creatures leaving them vulnerable to attack.

  Candarius Newkan readies his rapier and lunges at the closer vine monster ending its life with a large golden vine ascending from the earth, but he then quickly charges towards the last one and slices off one of its arms.

  It lunged past Candarius Newkan at Nakai breaking a few scales off Nakai's arm and grappling him to the floor.

  Nakai's resistance failed to break from the grapple but grabs his blade and cut himself loose. A final stomp from Nakai ends the last golden vine monster as another giant Golden Vine ascends into the sky.

  The party begins to make its way toward the docks only to see death and destruction everywhere.

  One near the harbor a large group can be seen making a ruckus near the boats and an old woman grabs onto Crush Dim's shoulder shouting about how they were all doomed to die and all resistance was for naught.

  Crush Dim in an attempt to save the woman lifts her and tries to fling her onto a boat but a building collapsed from more golden vines ascending into the sky and crushing not only the woman mid-flight but many civilians who were unable to be saved.

  Pushing past all the corpses and destruction they see a group of around sixteen being beaten by two large men with clubs as another sits on the ship laughing.

  A woman approaches our party telling them she is a captain and that her vessel has been occupied by miscreants asking for help.

  As the criminals were preoccupied our party swiftly took action. Nakai and Crush Dim shot arrows at the two who were beating the crowd and Korn cast Eldritch Blast at the man on the boat.

  One of the two who were beating the crowd lived, but with an arrow stuck in his shoulder Candarius Newkan swiftly approached and attempted to disarm him fancily, but failed and somehow in his attempt to disarm the man with his rapier missed and the direction plunged his rapier into a baby being held by its mother.

  The mother looked on in horror, but Candarius the aristocrat simply gave her five gold, apologized, and turned back to his opponent plunging his rapier directly into the man's head.

  Once onboard the Galleon ship the party wonders if they should allow others onboard. Ultimately everyone boards the ship except the mother who in her shock wouldn't move and simply stood there as the ship took off.

  The ship leaves the harbor and begins sailing the waters when suddenly the captain yells about how these landlubbers are about to witness something new.

  The ship slowly begins to lift out of the water and continues to ascend past the clouds allowing everyone on the ship able to witness beautiful translucent and glowing fish beings in space as they completely left their planet's atmosphere. Looking down below they saw the land they came from become entirely covered in Golden Vines of varying sizes some truly breaking through the atmosphere.

  As everyone had stars in their eyes in amazement about how they had flown into the sky the captain asked them if they knew about BrawlRock and if they had ever visited other planets.

  The party responded about not even knowing what a planet was. The captain began to explain about space, planets, and other things like nations. She told them the name of their planet, Lana Island, and how it was a planet rich in resources more specifically wood as that was a resource-scarce in most other parts of the galaxy.

  Taking in all this knowledge and expanding their horizons the party begins to explore the ship.

  Candarius Newkan finds a large Jellyfish wearing a hat with a feather below deck while trying to find the living quarters. It didn't appear to speak Gnomish, Elvish, or Common, so he went back to ask the captain where to find the most exquisite quarters as he was an aristocrat that excelled in duels with his rapier.

  Weirdly enough Candarius Newkan was extremely persuasive and the captain took him directly to her own quarters and told him to rest there.

  He asked where she would rest and her response was that she does not rest, so he promptly shut the door in her face.

  Looking around suddenly his perception failed him and he couldn't sense anything in the room so he just laid down and began to rest.

  The rest of his party inspected the ship finding crates of glowing blue cannonballs and two magic cannons that could be moved around the ship. There were also two swivel ballistas installed on the sides of the ship.

  Crush Dim walked around the ship using mend on anything he saw that might need it and cure wounds on any of the people they saved.

  Nakai and Korn get some of the people who will now become crewmates of the ship to help bring cannonballs and ballista bolts topside ready for any combats that may occur.

  Some time passes and Crush Dim decides to walk off the side of the ship staying oriented with the ship still with artificial gravity. It takes a minute or two to adjust but after he does he walks fully upside down on the bottom of the ship.

  After meditating for a bit Crush Dim ties a rope to an arrow and then readies his bow aiming at one of the glowing fish-like creatures in the void outside the bubble of air around the ship.

  With a quick release and aim true, the arrow pierces through a small golden guppy fish and he quickly begins to pull on the rope and grabs it.

  The little guppy fish he hoped to try and tame quickly died and lost its glow, so he just stuffed it into one of his bags.

  Suddenly in the distance, they notice a giant green ship and it appears to be heading straight toward them.

  A moth ship that seems to be made of organic materials similar to the giant golden vines that had erupted over Lana Island. It was twice as fast as their wooden galleon ship.

  Crush Dim tries to shoot an arrow at it, but it is over a thousand feet away.

  Nakai loads and shoots a blue cannonball but it fizzles into nothing about seven hundred feet out, so they will have to wait until it gets closer.

  Crush Dim stays below deck scouting around just in case to watch for anything else. Korn awakens to the cannon shot and makes his way onto the deck to join his party.

  Since both ships are not within range of each other the party brings the two cannons onto one side of the ship and puts them on either side of the ballista.

  They tell the captain to turn the ship and rise in the air so as to not be in direct line with the enemy vessel's cannons.

  Once in range, they fire off both cannons and the ballista directly damaging the enemy vessel.

  The Moth ship returned fire, but luckily they both missed as our ship was too high.

  We begin to descend and fire both cannons again with one hitting the hull of the enemy ship and another wiping out three enemies and the deck of the enemy vessel.

  Candarius Newkan who is on the ballista ties a rope to the railing on the side of the ship and the other end to a ballista bolt and shoots directly into the hole where the enemy's deck was.

  An astral elf pokes his head out the hole and tries to grab and climb onto the rope, but Candarius Newkan sends a bolt that hits it straight in the gut and pins it to the wall dead.

  Three more astral elves ascend from the hole and being to run across the rope toward our ship. They have glowing longswords and rapiers as well as glowing bows. Each draws their bow and knocks a laser arrow that does radiant damage and aims at different party members.

  Nakai takes two arrows that wound him greatly, and Korn takes an arrow to the shoulder knocking him down on the ground with almost no life left in him.

  Nakai rushes over to Korn and uses Cure wounds to bring him back on his feet and then runs away up to the quarterback crouching behind railings.

  Crush Dim attempts to cast a guiding bolt at one of the astral elves on the rope, but his aim from below was off and it goes off into space, so he just walks back up on the far side of the ship away from the astral elves.

  Candarius Newkan fires the ballista and pierces the middle astral elf sending it off the rope and into space where a rogue asteroid oblierated it and continued onwards. Candarius Newkan then quickly loaded and shot again this time missing as the astral elf dodged.

  Korn now up and with little health gets on the ballista after Candarius Newkan and fires two shots that sadly do not hit their target.

  The closest astral elf makes it onto the ship kicking Candarius Newkan away onto the floor and firing an arrow at Crush Dim that pierces his gut making him kneel.

  In retaliation, Crush Dim pulls the arrow out flings it away, and smacks the astral elf with a mace in each hand slamming it into the ground.

  Nakai draws his bow and shoots the elf while it's down and Korn finishes it off with an eldrich blast.

  The last astral elf seeing all its allies in front of it defeated begins to turn around trying to flee back to its own ship.

  Candarius Newkan in his Floppa Pajamas draws his rapier, jumps onto the rope yelling EN GARDE!! while rushing at his fleeing opponent with a flurry of strikes the last astral elf dies to the many stabs.

  A noise alerts the crew and looking at the moth ship two doors at the bottom open and an escape pod can be seen trying to leave.

  With only a moment Nakai and Korn attempt to shoot it down, but they sadly miss and the escape pod gets away.

  Nakai and Crush Dim use all their remaining Spell slots to heal up their party before going onto the moth ship.

  Once on the moth ship they hear a blaring *Whiirrrrr* on repeat signaling that they likely set the ship to self-destruct rather than allow their enemies a free vessel.

  Without much time left, they try to scavenge what they can with Nakai finding four laser arrows with the increased radiant damage, Candarius Newkan taking a glowing rapier, Crush Dim grabs two glowing longswords, and Korn just unloading eldrich blasts into the ship.

  A giant rumbling and blasts begin to occur on the moth ship, so they make their way back to the rope to return to the galleon.

  Crush Dim tries to look cool and leaps off into space draws his bow and releases an arrow that connects to the hull of the galleon and with a rope attached to it pulls himself to the ship.

  The rest of his party simply goes on the rope back to the ship as they witness the Moth ship implode sending debris everywhere luckily none damage the ship.

  Nakai and Crush Dim go around mending the ship to ensure nothing is wrong with it then everyone continues on their journey.

  The next day after a long rest everyone is relaxing when they notice a hostile presence behind them.

  Looking closely they see a giant shell ship with tentacles coming out! MINDFLAYERS the captain yells. Ready your stations!!
