Chapter 10: Brainwashing
“My dy! Shalltear has betrayed us!” demiurge said over a message spell.
“Huh?” she responded dumbly.
The group of four was in the room that they had rented after they had killed and stopped the pns of the whatever her name was. In all honesty, Calvaria had forgotten her name. She was rather inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
“Yes my dy! Lady Shalltear’s name turned red in the guild menu. As far as I’m aware, that means that she has become hostile, correct?” he asked, and Calvaria simply responded with a yes.
“Just wait to do anything reted to this. recall all the NPCs from their locations but Sebas and Solution,” Calvaria ordered, and Demiurge obeyed, “next, I will be coming there to learn all I can from you. Then, I shall go to her location and try and seek out information directly. I currently have with a human that I have inducted into the fold. I will take her to Carne vilge. Make sure that they treat her as a guest,” she expined, and Demiurge made a noise of affirmation.
As she finished the message, she looked to the others and first expined what was happening. Her words flowed from her mouth in a stiff sort of way. the others looked on at her.
Anna and Nabe seemed both incredibly angry, while Ninya simply didn’t know what to think. After all, she had not a hint of context. That didn’t matter. All that mattered right now was fixing this problem.
She then called Lupisregina Beta and told her to guard Carne vilge instead of going to the tomb. Next, she simply took off her normal human guise and switched back to her usual get up.
She then opened a portal to Carne vilge in front of the front door of the girl known as Enri Emmot. She knocked on the door, and watched as Enri opened the door, only to find the savor of her own vilge. She simply fell to her butt in surprise, and Momonga had to stop herself from giggling a bit.
She then spoke. She didn’t really bother with hiding her true tone of voice right now. After all, her voice in this body was naturally that of a goddess.
“Hello, Enri Emmot. I have someone you have met here with me. I intend to aid her, as my apostle has promised her much. I would like to ask if you can take her in for the time being?” she asked, and Enri nodded dumbly.
Momonga then nodded herself, stuck her head through the portal, and pulled Ninya through. Then she remembered that she told her secret to Ninya, and pushed her back through.
On the other hand, Ninya who had gone through the portal twice now was awfully shaken up. She looked on at the now busied female overlord, and nodded her head in agreement that she would of course not tell anyone of her secret identity.
She then shoved the silver rank into the portal without warning once more, and spotted Narberal barely hiding her giggling from showing at Ninya’s faces. She had already returned her outfit to that of her normal attire, and Albedo was already looking like her normal self as well.
Momonga then opened a portal for the throne room. The three of them went inside said portal, only to see that the whole of the floor guardians that could attend, were there. Momonga breathed a sigh of relief as she had forgotten to mention that she wanted them all in the throne room.
She walked forth, and sat on the throne of Kings. Looking across the floor guardians, she failed to spot Shalltear, and grimaced. The memory of the line that Demiurge had just said, barely half an hour or so ago, seared into her mind; and she held out her hand.
The Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown sensed her will, and flew to her hand in eagerness. It seemed to have a mind of its own sometimes. Which was weird, that orb that she picked up and gave to her new hamster also had a mind of its own. Huh, weird.
She looked out and across the floor guardians once more, using a skill to boost her passive aura. She spoke, her words, w.
“Now, what has happened to Shalltear? Tell me all you know,” she intoned.
…
There, right in front of her, was Shalltear. The vampire herself was looking at the floor, as if idling in Yggdrasil. Her nce was out, ands her face was bnk. Momonga simply looked at her. Something was wrong, very wrong.
Albedo was trembling in rage, her brain not quite understanding what the stance meant, what her bnk face should have told her. Momonga was panicking internally now. Yet, she had a trick up her sleeves.
“Albedo, I am going to release Shalltear of her brainwashing by using this,” she said, raising her hand and showing off her rings, “this one, the square one with the three jewels, is the, “Wish upon a Star,” ring. With this, I can cast wish three times a day with out having to worry about the casting time or EXP cost.”
As she talked about this ring, she raised it to the sky and used it. dozens of magic circles appeared in the sky and around the undead overlord herself. She then began to chant.
“I wish…” she spoke, yet the circles broke, “what!” said after.
The sudden loss of the light from the ring upon her finger shocked her. The super tier spell fizzling out and into darkness. Panic set upon her unmoving face. she turned to Albedo and held out her hand.
“We are leaving, now!” she shouted, and Albedo rushed over to her overlord.
As she was embraced by the cold, yet strong arms of the woman she loved, she felt herself be teleported and the scene around her changed. It was inside her dy’s room. She had only ever been in this room a few times. She had had the pn to rub her own scent into her bed. Yet, she had decided to do so ter.
“God damn it! god fucking damn it!” Momonga yelled as she kicked her bed, bumping her toe and screaming in rage, “How the fucking-fuckity-fuck did I not think about world Items!??!” she shouted.
“My Lady, what do we do?” Albedo asked, looking at the now colpsed Momonga, her body shifted into the fetal positioned, “how do we fix this?” she asked once more.
Momonga stood, up wiped her face and sighed. her emotional suppression finally kicking in. She then stooped her shoulders and sat on the edge of her bed. She looked to Albedo, a depressed look on her face.
“We need to visit the treasury. There, we have our world items and several other weapons that I can use to taker out Shalltear and then we can revive her, then we can fix this whole thing,” she expined quickly, then fell backward onto her bed.
As Albedo looked at the overlord of the great underground tomb of Nazarick, and intrusive thought entered her head. Said intrusive thought didn’t match the mood of the room at all, and she tried to dismiss it, yet her succubus nature pulled through.
“My dy?” she asked, and Momonga looked at her with just a raised head, “do you think some stress relief will help?” she asked, and Momonga simply raised a brow.
“Ok? What do you have in mind?” she asked.
