Rudolf rushed across the hallway, turning on the points mentioned by Crity as he arrived at the Grand staircase. “Wow.” He said to himself as he took in the grandeur of the downstairs of the pace, alongside the massive grand staircase that led down to it.

Marble flooring and granite chasing for the stairs alongside a nice and sted railing for protection against falls, it was not like anyone was going to fall off the staircase in ever, but it was still there just for the aesthetics.

As Rudolf made his way to the lower floor, he saw the moderately crowded room, all of the which were servants and maidens. A prince being served by more than what—around a dozen staff?

Rudolf slowed his pace as he pretended to yawn. The servants all stop in their gossip as they turn towards him with reverent eyes and a newfound submission as they lowered their heads in form of respect.

“Uh, are you a…” Rudolf approached one of the young maids who were gossiping prior to his arrival near the staircase.

“Young master, what brings you here? I am a humble maiden at your service.” The maiden responded as she thought to herself:

He must have forgotten my name or that we interacted just yesterday. I cannot bme him for that since there are already too many servants to count, let alone remember their names.

“I am Rebecca, I cater towards the hunger section of your needs. Cooking, I meant.” Rebecca the maiden spoke as she corrected herself.

Meanwhile, Rudolf was tensed, his body temperature had increased exponentially and his mind was rumbling with taboo thoughts. Too obscene for even him. I-I have never felt so… weird. This is supposed to be a natural reaction for men but, I have never been so tensed around a woman, hell—not even when Medaine had touched me.

The obscene thoughts around women were a foreign thing to him, this life was truly, quite different.

“Prince? How may I help you…?” Rebecca questioned as Rudolf tried to speak but instead made an excuse and wandered off, going very far from them.

“Shit, these urges are going to be a problem.” Rudolf said to himself as he awkwardly walked around the pace.

Wait, isn’t there a myth about the emperor of the Ayequilterus empire being a blessed charm user? “That should make me a charm user as well…” Rudolf said to himself.

Charms in this world were the manifestations of the quote, “the person with the stronger ‘will’ wins.” Since charm users were exceptionally rare, and even if a few were there—their capabilities were limited to only a few uses in their lifetime and those uses too, would be temporary. The most common charm that the user could use was that of manipution or forced memory adjustment.

“I’ll test the charms theory out ter, back there, I was the one being charmed by those… damn you Lithuania.” Rudolf muttered to himself unconsciously as he wandered and wandered.

While in his purposeless wander, Rudolf coincidentally arrived at the exit of the prince’s quarters. He was lost, very lost indeed.

“Is there anything of matter concerning you prince?” An old man with a lengthy whited beard approached Rudolf. Rudolf did not see anyone around here, thus; he was caught off-guard.

The man was using a cane for support as his eyebrows were snted, his eyes barely giving away enough to see the view.

“Well yeah.” Rudolf responded, not asking for the man’s name or job at the royalty quarter.

“Do you perhaps know where the…” Rudolf had his words stuck in his throat as he realized that he forgot the woman’s name. Making a quick save, he instead opted for her occupation.

“The dy, working at the spirit ministry…?” The man widened his eyes, even though they still could not be seen; he smirked before responding.

“Ah, Lady Agatha? I heard of her call to meet you for urgent matters.” Rudolf clicked with that name as nodded. “I actually forgot where she used to rest, could you give me the directions?”

“Of course, just go straight to that building; I hear them say that the building has ‘Ministries’ written in Romanized form for better visuals.” The man pointed at the building with the word, “Ministries” pstered on the very top on a board, mixing in with the architecture of the building.

Well, isn’t that just great? I just needed to use my eyes to see the damn building.” Rudolf muttered to himself before thanking the old man for his guidance and entering the rge concrete-bricked building that was the pinnacle of art and beauty.

“It is great to see the prince getting into action with or at least showing some attention to the maids. I failed to do that during my age.” The old man vanished just as he appeared out of nowhere.

“So, the Lady is the minister of Spirituality, right?” I think she should be inside one of these doors. Rudolf walked around the halls of the ministry quietly and slowly, taking his time to navigate around the vastness of the building without getting lost.

I should find her neatly. “Secretary of spirituality, secretary, secretary… I should stick to minister of spirituality.” As he opened every unnamed door to find a room filled with darkness and chanted the title of the Lady to match with the boards of the ministry, Rudolf incidentally opened an unnamed room that had dimly lit candles decorated on the front.

He started to back out after finding no trace of the Lady in the semi-darkened state of the room when he was suddenly called out by a person in the tone of an old dy. “Rudolf, y-you have come?”

Shivers ran down his spine as he calmed himself afterwards before re-entering the room. He had his thoughts straight and his mind on ‘how to not mess this up.’

Rudolf made his way further into the room as the once dimly lit candles illuminated the rest of the room for him to view. A rge curtain was flowing from the ceiling, all the way to the floor. The chandelier behind the curtain lighting up the contents of that portion of the room for Rudolf to see.

A silhouette of a woman, with two short heighted dies on her both sides was present. I assume the main figure is Lady Agatha… “It’s very pleasant to feel your presence in this room again, Rudolf.”

She did not address me as prince or young master, she must have been close to the prince then.

The woman’s hair seemed long as its outline flowed like a river. Judging by the id-down position of the secondary dies around her, they must be her servants or… pupils.

“Yeah, Agatha.” Rudolf said, trying to establish a sense of closeness with the Lady as she referred to him by his name instead of his title.

“Agatha? I suppose you have decided to drop the titles today. Then again, I addressed you by your name.” Maybe they aren’t close after all… really sucks trying to the py the role of a person you aren’t. Although for my case, I am and at the same time am not.

“My apologies Lady. What was the reason for my sudden summon?” The Lady coughed before straightening her posture behind the curtain.

“It’s about immediate journey to the Skalenos kingdom.”

“Skalenos kingdom? W-what, currently? Right now?” Rudolf panicked before reminding himself of the fact that he may have known about the journey.

“I understand your hesitation, but the prophecy speaks of tomorrow. If you leave for the kingdom today before sunset, you will reach there by the sunrise.” Skalenos kingdom… it is too far away from here; there’s no possible way to get there within a day, plus it’s surrounded by wastends and has an extreme border. Rudolf said to himself as he grasped the reality at hand.

Prophecies were carried out by mainly royalty and nobles through a collective sermon or dream. Spiritual leaders of a nation could perform a deed to attract the attention of the gods for them to lend them a piece of the prophecy but the entirety of it.

That was still exclusive to the houses that govern the regions. Giving monarchism a purpose and a sense of power over the masses.

“Isn’t Skalenos incredibly dangerous to travel to and won’t it take weeks to even get there?” The dy gasped as she took in his words. Rudolf felt a sense of reflection wash over him as he realized the gravity of his naiveness. “Just wanted to make sure.” He said, pushing the statement further accidentally.

“It will take less than a day if you take the northern route. The air floats will take you to the lower Ayequilterus up north. From there on, you can use the help of horses to travel to corner angle of the requesting Skalenos kingdom.”

I forgot that this is not the Isoskeles kingdom anymore. Travelling all the way to the triangute of the Skalenos region from there is a nightmare only for rebels. Even though I am going to be arriving to Skalenos from Ayequilterus, that’s still a lot of navigation through a part of nd I’ve never been to.

Rudolf had been reincarnated in the kingdom of Skalenos many times; per say—it was one of his most common spawn points.

However, the region in particur that the Lady had hinted towards was the tip of the triangute overpping with the Ayequilterus kingdom’s northern side. That part of Skalenos was even more unbound and under crisis; causing much trouble and curfew.

“Will I get some help?” The dy ughed as she took in his words as humorous.

“Of course, you’re the crowned prince and heir of the throne; the squadron will assist you in the journey.” Makes sense, they would not want their heir dead that fast.

_ “A-A squadron?” _ Rudolf asked, being astounded by the amount of soldiers he was being given to assist his journey.

_ “Yes.” _ A squadron consisted of two troops of skilled soldiers serving in an army or approximately 30~ soldiers. Thus, Rudolf’s reaction was quite justified.

He gathered himself as he held onto his excitement for ter terms.

“Alright. Is there anything else I should know?” The Lady coughed as she called over one of the dy servants near her and whispered something to her.

The curtains were lifted slowly as the dy revealed herself, taking her hands off her face as she opened her marred eyes.

“Look straight into my eyes.” Lady Agatha said to Rudolf who was obviously a bit intimidated by her scary and scarred appearance. Half of her face had been burned off and her eyes were cloudy; she further acted like a person who would have been blind.

Rudolf did as told before the veils fell again, not before seeing the slight smirk given by the Lady.

  “Interesting.”

“You may go now, the guards outside will escort you to the air floats. No time must be wasted as you should act fast.” Lady Agatha continued before the candles mysteriously gave away and the room became dark. The candles that were near the door lit up like before as Rudolf traced them and exited the ministry room.

_”I guess it’ll take quite the time for me to get rid of this mess and actually begin my own search for the prince of Lithuania.”_ Rudolf sighed as he wondered what’s the main reason for the journey before being interrupted by a sudden surprise.

“Greetings prince!” A guard caught Rudolf off-guard as they saluted in their esteem. The guard was wearing the standard armor and equipment given to any normal guard of the kingdom.

  “I really want some rest.”
