Yong si was resting peacefully until he was yet again disturbed but this time by a feeling of a small pebble hitting him, he annoyingly opened his piercing red eyes to spot the culprit who was none other than the pesky doctor who was staring up at the dragon god.
?Get down there! I made dinner the sun is setting come inside“ the brunet yelled up at the god, yong si grumbled and jumped down from the branch and stretched his long body and each of his legs before making his way back inside past the doctor who also got hit by the dragons‘ tail when he walked past as a little ?thank you‘ for waking him , gao yichen tsk‘d and started following the dragon, he sped up to be infront of the god and led him to a room with a bigger table and some stools, the room was well lit with an oil lamp and a bigger window which gave an exquisite view of the forest are outside, there was a big sizzling pot on the stove, the smell of delicious fried vegetables filled yong si‘s sensitive nose making him sneeze a little, gao yichen walked towards the pot to stir the vegetables a little before speaking up ?my dear friend are you able to change back to your human form so we can eat?“ yong si didn‘t even reply and instead just changed back behind the doctor and plopped down on one of the stools looking grumpy, his ears hung low and his tail looked very stiff, his arms are crossed above the table as he was hunching.
The doctor placed two elegant white porcelain bowls with green detailing along with two sets of chopsticks on the table before bringing the pot over and scopping the contents into the two bowls, yong si would be lying if he said it didn‘t look deliciois, gods didn‘t need to eat and loong especially weren‘t a fan of vegetarian diets, yong si was much different he hated the taste of most meats so he usually didn‘t eat at all or just ate some vegetables thrown together, gao yichen stared at the god as if he was waiting for something.
The god took the hint and poorly grabbed his pair of chopsticks, his fingers were too sharp and chunky-claw like to properly hold them. His performance was just simply too sad to watch, the doctor coughed to get the others‘ attention before showing him how to properly hold the chopsticks.
The dragon god tried to imitate it but failed sighing as his ears hung really low, he looked like a wet kitten in this state, gao yichen sighed heartedly before getting up and walking towards one of the shelf, yong si heard clinking of porcelain before the doctor appeared next to him laying down a small porcelain soup spoon before mumbling ?m‘ sorry I don‘t have anything else you could use, if this doesn‘t work I could feed you“ his voice was gentle and kind, yong si almost felt stricken by how kind it sounded, he glanced to the side away from the doctor mumbling a small thank you, gao yichen returned to his seat opposite of him and began eating.
After a few seconds yong si wonkily picked up the spoon and tried to grab some vegetables he managed to scoop some up but he knew any other way was more efficient than this, right as the vegetables touched his tongue the elegant and rich taste of the food exploded in his mouth, it was sour yet sweet, soft but also had the perfect crunch, everything was well seasoned and charred to perfection, his red eyes immediately lit up and the doctor laughed ?i‘m glad you like it my dear friend, I must say I do enjoy cooking quite alot! It always warms my heart when guests enjoy my creations!“ he spoke with a wide toothy grin plastered on his face, yong si huffed before mumbling a small ?adequate‘ appearing all aloof and uncaring infront of the doctor who found his reaction even more amusing.
As the two men ate in silence, gao yichen interrupted ?tell me my dear friend, what‘s your name? Tell me a bit about yourself!“ yong si placed the spoon down, chewing a little before speaking up ?i‘m yong si, also known as the white death by the heavens, I am one of the rarer loong gods and I hate small talk.“ he spoke glaring daggers into the doctor who wore a calm expression resting his chin on his palm ?mmh.. pleased to meet you yong si, I was asking because we will probably have to stick together for a while, your injuries aren‘t good and while I was in town today I saw some of the yu soldiers asking around about you, the emperor also has caught wind of everything.“ the doctor muttered lazily stabbing his food with the chopsticks, yong si perked up ?the emperor? Why? This one has never heard anything about the emperor being out for me?“ gao yichen stared back up their eyes locking before he spoke up again ?oh no personally the emperor doesn‘t care, it‘s that snake yu jiang, I bet they were all over the emperor‘s lap, crying fake tears and begging for assistance. I‘ve personally been witness to general yu‘s and the mighty tianyi juns‘ relationship unfortunately…“ a shudder wrecked the doctors‘ form, yong si chuckled slightly which caused the other man to freeze up for a moment before regaining a soft smile again, the oil lamp made his features and scars pop out more in a… nice way? Yong si shook these thoughts off immediately and continued eating his vegetables.
Gao yichen however seemed to find the silence that had fallen upon them rather uncomfortable but he also resumed to eating the dinner, both men finished eating gao yichen ordered yong si to resign for the night and get some rest for the night while gao yichen took a basin filled with water and did the dishes, his new guest seemed rather stranger no…strange wasn‘t the right word… unique the realization sent a wave of giddiness through him, he wanted to learn everything about his new friend.
When the doctor walked out of the dining room to check things around the hut a soft nudge against his feet startled him enough to look down to be greeted by the sight of a small fluffy brown rabbit glancing up at the man a soft paw resting against his calf, he knelt down and pet the rabbit ?oh sweetie… I already fed you all an hour ago“ he cooed while petting the bunny, picking the little fluff ball up and standing up to bring her to the others. The chilling night air made the doctor shiver slightly underneath his layers of clothes, it wasn‘t yet cold enough to bring all the bunny inside so he had their rescue enclosure outside along with lots of toys and enrichment things for the rescues he had.
Gao yichen placed the little brown fur ball down and urged her to go play with her mates before making his way back inside, he had no bed to sleep on, yong si was occupying it at the moment gao yichen didn‘t mind it at all though, he arranged the pillows around the small floor table infront of his porch so he could lay comfortable on the bamboo flooring and sleep..

Gao yichen was woken up by the feeling of a small weight shifting ontop of him, he groggily opened his eyes groaning slightly as the sight of yong si draping a blanket over the laying man filled his eyesight, once yong si noticed that he got ?caught‘ in the act he immediately jumped back not looking at the other man.
Gao yichen yawned and stretched his limbs before mumbling ?itsch okay you didn‘t wake me up“ yong si glanced back over his shoulder looking at the other man, his eye brows furrowed before he turned his back straight and walked out. Gao yichen watched the other man intently, the doctor groaned and pinched his temple he wobbily got up on his feet and stumbled into his small kitchen to retrieve his elegant porcelain teapot and prepared some freshly brewed tea, he put everything along with two cups on a tray and walked out placing it on his table.

?Yong si!! Do you want some tea?“ gao yichen shouted out into the porch, before shifting his attention back onto the boiling teapot, he poured himself a cup full taking in the scent before blowing on it and taking a small sip savoring the herbal taste of it, he glanced towards the porch and was met with the sight of yong si trying to sneakily peek in, gao yichen chuckled slightly and invited him to sit down which the dragon god did.
Gao yichen poured him a cup full of tea aswell and handed it to yong si who held the cup like a priced possession, he brought it up to his lip and took a sip almost immediately hissed at the sudden hot liquid burning his tongue, he set the cup down and started fanning his mouth, gao yichen giggled while shaking his head ?silly have you never drank tea before?“ he asked the dragon god who quickly shook his head, his expression looked pained and upset, gao yichen chuckled some more before speaking up again ?it will go away soon, make sure to blow on your tea when you take another sip my dear friend, it‘s hot~“ gao yichen teased smiling warmly, yong si huffed glaring at the man infront of him, his tail thumping madly against the flooring soon the burning- like the doctor said, had gotten better, yong si proceeded to drink his tea while blowing this time.
The tea tasted absolutely amazing, this guy really knew how to work around a kitchen, yong si‘s thoughts were interrupted by a voice appearing in his head ?yong si!!! Yong siiiii!‘ an all too familiar voice yelled, it was miss haiyans‘ voice, the dragon god placed the cup down and placed his pointer and middle finger to his lip and mentally replied back ?what is it miss haiyan?‘, he could hear the woman sigh in relief ?yong si! Thank god you‘re save we‘re all so worried about you. Where are you??‘ she hastily replied, yong si sighed gaining the attention of the doctor sat opposite from him who was now glancing at him with confusion ridden over his face. The dragon god removed his fingers ?one of the fellow gods is asking for my whereabouts, this one trusts her well so I will make an array for her if that is fine with you.“ yong si spoke aloofly, the doctor was stunned for a second before nodding and replying with a small it‘s fine, yong si got up and roamed around trying to find something, the floor creaking underneath his feet, he looked around some more until he finally found something, a sharp object he can use to draw his blood, he walked back to the doctor who was staring at him with utmost curiosity, the dragon god walked past him and entered the outside garden walking further away from any roaming rabbits, he knelt down and swiftly cut his wrist enough to draw some blood for the array.
Soon enough the array lit up and the form of a woman appeared, she elegantly landed on her feet and looked around, yong si got up from his kneeling position and began to walk back inside.
The goddess stared at the dragons‘ back before quickly running to catch up to him, they got inside and both were greeted by the sight of a rather shocked looking gao yichen sitting on the floor staring at the two gods.
Miss haiyan stepped forth and squeeled ?oh you‘re a nice looking mortal! Who are ya? I‘m miss haiyan goddess of the seas! Pleased to meet you.“ she spoke giddily and she squatted infront of the man who after a few seconds of processing replied with ?gao yichen… pleased to meet you aswell.“ her face beamed all the while yong si made his way back to his original position, sitting opposite from the doctor returning to his delicious tea.
The goddess glanced over at yong si bbefore standing up again ?you don‘t seem too hurt anymore, I assumed you wouldn‘t be able to heal that quickly.“ she pointed out, yong si didn‘t even bother replying instead gao yichen did ?yes that is because I took care of him, I took care of his wounds but he still needs healing, he‘s still injured.“ the doctors‘ voice was a little quiet, yong si found that odd, he seemed alot different now that miss haiyan was here, I mean from experience alot of men seem to fawn over her appearance so maybe that‘s why.
The water goddess crossed her arms and walked towards the dragon god ?come on we gotta go, the heavenly calamity’s looking for you.“ she spoke her voice sounded stern as she kept a outstretched hand for yong si to take which he simply ignored, he took a sip from his now cold tea it tasted divine but it would‘ve been better if they weren‘t interrupted.
?Hey!! Don‘t ignore me yong si!“ the goddess yelled to which yong si quickly replied with ?I‘m not coming. Forget it.“ his tone was laced with venom, the goddess of the sea gasped dramatically ?you have to!! I can‘t just come back to the heavens without you, the heavenly calamity will kill me she‘s acting crazy right now!!“ she whined.
Yong si scoffed at the woman “I don′t care, that′s your problem then.” the goddess let out a loud cry and began tugging and the dragon gods′ sleeve trying to drag him with her. His tail snapped hitting the womans′ calf to get her to let go.
“General Yu is out on the hunt for me, here I am safe, I don′t want to be stuck in the heavens I hate it there.” he mumbled Gao Yichen set his cup down and glanced at the two gods, he coughed before speaking up “yes, also as I had mentioned he is still injured.. so I think it′s for the best if he were to… stay with me..” the doctors′ voice sounded almost flustered and shy. Yong Si huffed up and gave the goddess besides him a I told you so! look. Miss Haiyan had let go of Yong Si′s sleeve and stepped back sighing “fine.. but please don′t stay gone for too long. I′ll have to tell the heavenly calamity′s your whereabouts.” she mumbled, Yong Si′s ears quickly perked up, he snapped his head towards the woman his mouth was agape.
He shock his head before speaking up again “oh nonono. You are not doing that Haiyan. Mother will come and get me.” his voice was dark as he spoke, as if the animals sensed his displeasure some precious fluffy bunnies came hopping towards the three people, some nuzzled up to Yong Si while the other nuzzled into the thigh of Gao Yichen, Yong Si′s delicate clawed hand reached down the gently pet the soft fluff of the bunnies. Miss Haiyan awed at the sight before snapping back into seriousness “Well I don’t care, I’m gonna do what I want! you can’t stop me, besides why should I be punished just because you don’t want your mother to know about your affaires. Hmph!” she smirked crossing her arms infront if her chest and huffed greatly like she just won the argument of the century.
Both Yong si and Gao Yichen stared at the woman, the white haired man simply looked annoyed and ready to pounce on her to attack while the brown haired man looked bewildered almost flustered. Affaire what an odd.. way to call it. Yong Si got up, he looked furious. “How dare you?! Why do you want to share my business so badly?? Leave me out of this! you know what just leave me alone!” he hissed at her, his pointy ears stand out more now, the goddess scoffed in response she was readx to counter back and annoy the other more.
Until Gao Yichen got up aswell “calm down you two, this is no reason to fight over my dear friends!” he sounded worried, he coughed into his closed fist before speaking up again “Madam Haiyan, pardon but I think you should leave my patient alone to recover, I know someone has sent you to collect him but he needs the time really, I also don’t want many to know of my home. It is secluded for a reason..” he closed his eyes and sighed swiftly walking to Yong Si’s side, the little bunnies hopped to follow him.
Yong Si huffed and turned his head to the side like an offended kitten, miss Haiyan looked offended for a second before shaking her head. “I suppose you’re right doctor, I’m sorry for causing you trouble I’ll take my leave but I will have to return..” she sighed as she walked back the way she came from, she walked deeper into the forest before assumably creating a portal to return to the heavens, empty handed.
