Shido’s POV
Darkness.
Warm, comforting darkness surrounded me. It was peaceful, like floating in a vast, endless ocean. I couldn't move much, but I didn’t mind. It was oddly soothing, like being wrapped in the softest blanket imaginable. My mind felt hazy, unfocused. I had no idea where I was, but for some reason, I wasn’t scared. It felt... safe.
Then, without warning—
Pain.
An excruciating, mind-numbing pain tore through my entire being. My body—or whatever it was now—was being pushed, squeezed, and dragged forward. My peaceful world shattered as I was forcefully expelled from the darkness.

Third Person POV
A hospital room buzzed with tension. The walls, painted a sterile white, reflected the bright overhead lights. The sound of hurried footsteps echoed as nurses moved around, assisting the doctor. In the center of it all, a beautiful woman lay on the hospital bed, her face twisted in pain, sweat glistening on her forehead.
Beside her, a man stood, gripping her hand tightly. His red eyes were filled with worry as he watched his wife struggle through the agony of childbirth.
"You're doing great, honey," he whispered, though his own voice shook.
The doctor and nurses moved with precision, guiding the delivery. A pink, round creature—Chansey—bounced around, assisting the medical staff by handing over towels and medicine.

"One more push!" the doctor urged.
With one final scream, the baby was born.
Cries filled the air as the nurse gently lifted the newborn, carefully cleaning the tiny body before wrapping it in a soft, white blanket. A smile spread across her face as she turned to the parents.
"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Kairen," she said warmly. "You have a beautiful baby girl."
The father’s grip on his wife’s hand tightened as they both gazed at the newborn in awe.
The nurse gently placed the baby into the mother’s waiting arms. "She’s perfect."

Shido’s POV
The pain was finally gone. The suffocating darkness had lifted. I could breathe—well, kind of. My lungs felt weird, my body was… small. And the worst part? Everything was blurry.
Blurry, giant figures loomed over me. Their voices, though muffled, carried excitement and warmth.
It didn’t take me long to put two and two together.
I died.
And now, I was reborn.
"Funk…" I thought to myself. "Now I have to go through school again. And deal with those funking mean little shits. Kids are ruthless, man. They just say whatever they want, and because it’s the truth, it hurts even more."
Sighing internally, I decided to take a look at my new parents.
Holy hell, my mom was gorgeous. Blonde hair, stunning brown eyes—damn, my dad hit the jackpot.
And speaking of my dad…
Why was he so damn cute?!
Big red eyes, soft brown hair—this man looked like he belonged in a shoujo manga.
"What the hell? Men are supposed to be cool and handsome, not adorable! My mom looks way more badass than my dad!"
I sighed. "Well, at least I’ll be handsome… or maybe the cutest little shit alive. Either way, I win."
As I lay there, my parents continued to fuss over me, poking and cooing at my face like peasants admiring a royal treasure.
"Enough!" I wanted to yell. But all that came out was a pathetic cry.
"Hah! Take that, woman!" I thought smugly as my mother immediately stopped and started consoling me.
After what felt like forever, they finally started talking about my name.
"We’ll name her… Sophia Kairen."
Wait. Wait. Wait.
WHAT THE BIG FUNK?!
"ME?! A DAUGHTER?! YOU IDIOTS, I’M A GUY! A MAN! A FULLY FUNCTIONING MALE!"
I wailed even louder, all my emotions bursting out at once. The grief of dying, the realization that I’d never see my old family again—even if we weren’t that close, they were still my family. Everything came crashing down in that moment.
As my cries filled the room, a nurse walked in, her bright pink hair standing out. Beside her, a round pink Pokémon hopped in, saying, "Cha-Cha-Chansey!"
I froze.
A living, breathing Pokémon.
I did what any normal person would do in this situation—I cried even harder.
I cried for my lost life.
I cried for my unfinished anime and novels that would forever remain incomplete.
And most of all…
I cried because I was now a girl.
As the nurse and Chansey moved closer to check on me, I continued wailing until I had no strength left.
Welcome to my new life… as Sophia Kairen.
