Chapter Three

  June 6, 2507

Current location: Neu York - Road to Noir Aussicht

  8:13 am

In the transport truck's cabin, three Werewolves were engaged in crude conversation. The youngest, barely twenty, sat in the passenger seat, while the eldest, a grizzled veteran in his fifties, handled the wheel. The third stood behind them, silent and watchful.

"Ja, sie war gut," the young Werewolf boasted with a grin.

The eldest scoffed. "Unsinn! Du niemals."

"Ich tat und sie war nett!" the youth protested, his voice rising defensively.

"Beweise es mir!" the elder demanded.

"Hier!" The youngest pulled a photograph from his pocket, passing it to the older Werewolf. The image revealed a young woman in a compromising position.

"Hübsch!" The elder's eyes lingered on the photo.

The youngest turned to the silent figure behind them. "Hello Dan! Würdest du gerne sehen?"

"Nein..." came the quiet response, the third Werewolf's face hidden in shadow.

In one fluid motion, the standing Werewolf drew a Glock and fired, the bullet tearing into the youngest's shoulder. Before the elder could reach for his own weapon, a second shot rang out, spraying the windshield with crimson.

"Scheisse!" The wounded youth lunged with a concealed knife, his movements desperate but precise.

The third Werewolf - now revealed as Rellik in disguise - dodged, but the younger man's momentum carried them both against the cabin wall, the blade pressing against Rellik's throat.

Recognition dawned in the young Werewolf's eyes. "Rellik!?"

Taking advantage of the moment's hesitation, Rellik kicked hard, creating space to draw his own knife from his thigh holster. The blade flashed once, opening the young Werewolf's throat in a crimson arc.

A faint squeak drew Rellik's attention to the windshield. In the chaos, the transport had veered toward a steep ditch. He lunged for the wheel, fingers grasping empty air as the vehicle pitched sideways. The world spun violently as the bus rolled, throwing Rellik against the roof with bone-crushing force. His vision tunneled to a pinpoint before darkness claimed him again.
