Uriel was unconscious in a clearing that had grown in the middle of a vast forest, next to a small river. Apparently, someone had been taking care of her without her knowing.
At one point, the young warrior slowly opened her eyes and saw a huge figure near her. She immediately tried to stand up and go on guard, in case her life was in danger...
—"Hey, are you feeling better?"—asked the voice of the strange presence.
Uriel realized it was the voice of a girl—or rather, a teenage girl. She replied:
—"Who are you? And what are you doing here?"
—"Well... my name is Agatha, and I’m from the race of giants. One day I came to fetch water from this river and saw you lying here. You looked badly hurt, so I’ve been coming to care for you since then. These lands are really dangerous, you know? Ever since the event that nearly destroyed the world after the war, the planet has been divided, and it's likely that demons are still wandering around. That’s why it’s not safe to be alone out here. Honestly, my father has forbidden me from coming here alone, but I want to prove to him that I’m brave... You look really strong. I didn’t know there were other beings in this world besides animals, giants, and demons. What’s your name?"
—"Wait! Did you say 'the event that nearly destroyed the world'? I don’t understand... and why is this place so green? I remember everything was destroyed and dry. Please, tell me what happened here." —Uriel was shaken.
—"Uh... the event that almost destroyed the world happened over five hundred years ago. I wasn’t born yet, but they say there was a battle between beings not from this world. Some warriors died fighting to save it, and after that, everything changed for the better. Amazing, right?... Why do you say you remember when everything was destroyed? Wait... why are you crying? Don’t tell me... were you there during that event? Please, tell me your name."
—"Alright," —Uriel answered in a trembling voice— "I’ll tell you. My name is Uriel. And yes... I was in that battle you’re talking about. I just can’t understand how so much time has passed. For me, it feels like it happened yesterday... Have you seen anyone else who looks like me?"
—"Someone like you? I don’t think so... but if you were in that battle, that means you must be really strong, right? That’s why your sword is broken and you wear that strange armor. Could you teach me how to fight, please? I want to be strong so I can protect my people. For centuries we’ve been attacked, and even though we’re strong, those guys just don’t die. Please, I beg you..."
Uriel was exhausted. Even after being unconscious for so long, she hadn’t recovered as quickly as she used to. Her wounds had healed completely, yet her energy hadn't returned.
She felt immense pain and sorrow in her heart. She suspected that her friends had died in the battle against the Titans, and that she was the only one left.
The giant girl, seeing her so down, brought her food and water every day to help her recover. Over time, they became close friends.
One day, after returning home, Agatha came back running, crying and terrified, to ask Uriel for help.
—"Uriel! Uriel!" —she sobbed— "You must help me, please, I beg you!"
The warrior, alarmed by her reaction, felt something terrible had happened and asked quickly:
—"What’s going on, Agatha? Catch your breath and tell me."
—"You must come to my village... we’re under attack by Lucifer and his army."
—"Did you say Lucifer?! Damn it! I completely forgot about that bastard," —Uriel replied, enraged.
—"You know him? He’s terrorized my people for centuries. He’s killed hundreds of us and allied with the demons to do it. We’ve been hiding, but they found us. Please help us," —pleaded the giant girl.
Uriel, grabbing her broken sword, decided to step in and help her friend, even though she hadn’t fully recovered.
—"Don’t cry anymore. I’ll go and finish that bastard once and for all. Tell me, where is your village?"
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
—"It’s up north, but we’re very far. Can you run fast? Or... I can carry you on my back if you’d like," —the girl offered.
—"Don’t worry. You run as fast as you can, and I’ll follow you," —Uriel replied as she began to fly.
—"You can fly?! That’s amazing! Then... let’s go!"
Agatha, the giant girl, dashed forward, leaping across the land while Uriel flew overhead at full speed. Watching her from above, tears ran down the warrior’s cheeks—it reminded her of her days with her friends in the Hidden Valley.
—“I feel like I can see you, guys…” —she thought.
But her face turned serious again when she saw the flames and smoke rising from the distance.
Lucifer and his army, now stronger than ever, had killed many giants over the centuries, drastically reducing their numbers. Now they sought to eliminate them completely. Their king, SonGoliat, was too old to fight.
The cherub was breaking through their front lines when suddenly, powerful lightning bolts struck his forces down, one after another, as a thunderous voice cried out:
—"THUNDERSTORM STRIKE!"
Shocked, Lucifer asked:
—"What is that?"
One of the strongest demons, Belial, rushed over to warn him that someone very powerful was attacking them. Lucifer ordered all troops to target the intruder.
Both demons and cherubim surrounded Uriel. There were thousands of them. She was far too weak to defeat them all, and despite her resistance, her strength failed and she collapsed. Agatha intervened to protect her but was severely injured.
Lucifer ordered her aside. He would finish Uriel himself.
—"So… you’ve come to punish me, huh? I must thank you, since you defeated those destructive Titans and cleared the way for me to rule. Hahaha! Destiny smiles on me once again. What a shame that you’re the only survivor... just so I can kill you. Don’t you agree?... Now, tell me, how does it feel? Say goodbye to this world!"
Just as he was about to kill her, the sky darkened and a powerful voice echoed from the heavens:
—"CLASH OF PLANETS!"
A massive explosion of light wiped out demons and cherubim alike in an instant.
Lucifer was stunned.
—"Who is that?"
Uriel, lying on the ground, began to laugh and cry in joy.
—"So that idiot’s still alive…!"
Gabriel quickly landed beside her and asked:
—"Uriel! Are you okay?"
The remaining demons turned into shadows and fled. The cherubim tried to follow, but...
—"I’m fine. Don’t let those bastards escape, finish them!" —Uriel shouted.
Gabriel smiled and replied:
—"Don’t worry. We’ve got a friend who’s very angry right now."
Huge black whirlpools opened in the sky. The cherubim, including Lucifer, found themselves face to face with a furious Archangel.
—"After starting wars and causing death in our world, you come here and do the same. And on top of that, you try to kill my best friend... This time, you won’t escape. You’ll fall into a prison you’ll never get out of!"
Lucifer, overwhelmed, ordered an all-out attack. But Rafael had already decided their fate.
—"ETERNAL PRISON OF THE STARS!"
The traitors were instantly swallowed by the black holes created by the mighty spell, banished to dimensional prisons of eternal darkness.
The giants’ village had suffered greatly, but seeing the warriors victorious, they began to celebrate and came out to greet them alongside King SonGoliat.
Uriel stood and embraced her two friends, both crying like children over the loss of their companions.
—"Why did this have to happen? What are we going to do now? Our friends are gone, we’re in a world we don’t know, and we don’t even know if we can go home… maybe we never will," —they lamented.
—"Still, I’m so happy that you’re alive. For a moment, I thought I was all alone here," —Uriel confessed.
Agatha, still badly injured, was being tended to. She gathered her strength and approached them to thank her new friend and the others, inviting them to speak with her father, the king, who wished to thank them personally. There, they ate and drank for many days.
The Archangels told them everything about their world and what had happened. They also warned that the war wasn’t over. When the seal broke, the Titans would return… and perhaps more furious than before.
But that wasn’t the only problem: the Arcanian conspiracy remained. Rafael suspected everything had been orchestrated perfectly. The dirty work was done, and now those enemies would have a clear path to do as they pleased. On top of that, their legendary weapons had been broken during the battle. The future held little hope.
When silence took over in their confusion, Uriel stood up, surprising everyone with her resolve, and declared:
—"I know what I must do... and what I will do."
—"What are you thinking?" —Rafael asked.
With a firm voice, she answered:
—"I’ll become stronger! Stronger than the Arcanians... I’ll even surpass the Titans! This time... I’ll finish them all! Are you with me?"
Gabriel and Rafael, inspired by their companion’s unbreakable determination, stood and replied:
—"Count on us. Whatever you decide, we’ll follow."
SonGoliat, moved by her courage, stood and proclaimed:
—"The giants are with you in this war!"
The giants erupted in cheers, supporting the Archangels with their war cry.
The giant king spoke of a far-off place at the ends of the Earth, where no being had ever entered. Not even demons could go there, because—so they say—when the massive hole in the sky was closing during the great event, a fiery light passed through it and fell in that region. Some had tried to explore it, but everyone who entered died. The king believed the Archangels could enter without harm, and that they would find something there to help in the future.
Upon hearing this, the warriors were surprised and decided to go investigate.
—"If that fire passed through the Sternentor, then we must go," —said Gabriel.
Uriel replied firmly:
—"Then it’s decided… Let’s go to the ends of the Earth!"
