The story begins 30 days after Elliot's training and Elliot is summoned on a new mission.

  Skah: Elliot I have a mission for you

  Skah: One of our scouts found a base west of the base, I want you to infiltrate there, I'll send Yahto and Walker to keep you company.

  Elliot: But why? You said I didn't need company

  Skah: well I have a feeling you might have some company to attack you, but since every mission always requires a minimum of 3 squad members, I taught you a few days ago so any questions?

  Elliot: no sir

  Skah: right

  Elliot and Walker and yahto go west of the base to check out the Alpha outpost in the desert zone.

  Elliot: so that's the outpost? It looks like it should be a very short battle

  Walker: looks like we missed the party

  Elliot: Yahto do you know anything about this alpha outpost in the database?

  Yahto: this outpost served as a communication base

  Walker: communication? But didn't we have a communication station at the main base?

  Yahto: well, this one serves as an extra

  Walker: eh nerds

  Elliot: now we have to infiltrate the outpost

  Walker, Elliot and Yahto go to the main outpost and investigate every corridor and room.

  Walker: the robots were here?

  Elliot: Did any of the scouts say there were robots in this outpost?

  Yahto: No? They didn't say there were robots from this station.

  Elliot: They look like they're from my grandfather's old generation.

  Yahto: wait, your grandfather was a robotics engineer in the 40s?

  Elliot: no but he was a mechanical engineer

  Walker: hey you should look at this

  Elliot: what is it Walker?

  Walker: Looks like we're not the only ones who were looking for communication.

  Elliot and Yahto go to the room where Walker is, they come across dead Wolf steel scouts

  Elliot: Skah didn't tell me that scouts were infiltrating the outpost before us.

  Walker: it looks like they were killed by our weapons

  Elliot: What do you mean, Walker?

  Walker: The cartridge belongs to the plasma of our weapons and it looks like one of us is a traitor.

  Yahto: That's crazy, there's no way an anthropomorphic member of our resistance would do that.

  Walker: we should report this to skah now

  Elliot yahto and Walker go back to the base to report to skah in his room.

  Skah: what situation?

  Walker: We've reported several pieces of communication equipment and robots from the old generation and a betrayal.

  Skah: what do you mean betrayal?

  Elliot: We see one of the dead scout bodies from our weapons at the post.

  Skah: How could any of us betray?

  Walker: answer those scouts you mentioned

  Skah: Right, I'll start an investigation of our base and you investigate evidence of betrayal.

  Scout: what are you talking about?! I wouldn't kill one of our partners

  Skah: then explain the rest of the dead bodies

  Scout 2: Look, we never knew those bodies were there.

  Walker: So? Then explain the P50 cartridge at the post you were using?

  Scout: look it must be the 6th scout squad after we saw nothing and no scouts at the outpost maybe someone knew about this outpost before we did.

  Yahto arrives in the room with some news

  Skah: What happened Yahto?

  Yahto: We have a problem

  Soldier: You traitor! Why did you do that?!

  Soldier 2: You're all blind and you guys think synthetics are us?!

  Elliot: what's going on Yahto?

  Yahto: a soldier killed one of our people for saying that synthetics should die for being enemies.

  Skah: what's going on?

  Soldier 2: oh skah you're back

  Skah: Rock, what possessed you to kill one of us?

  Rock: I've had enough of that quote of yours, you think synthetic can be an us?!

  Skah: he's Anthro conscious and you killed a life!

  Rock: life? He was dead since he died in an accident

  Skah: he was your brother Rock! You killed your own brother!

  Rock: My brother was dead! He's not my brother!

  Skah: that's enough! Guards!

  Skah: Take him out here!

  Base guards take rock out of room where soldier was dead

  Walker: what happened?

  Yahto: rock killed synthetic

  Walker: what?!

  Walker: that bastard should be dead for is-

  Skah: no, it's not a solution

  Walker: what?

  Skah: rock should learn what he did

  Yahto: Nixon, are you okay?

  Nixon: yeah, I can't believe rock did this I thought rock wouldn't do this to his own brother

  Elliot: what about you?

  Nixon: oh I'm sorry I'm Nixon from the Rangers squad, what about you?

  Elliot: Elliot from the recon squad

  Nixon: recon squad? Cool

  Elliot: who is rock?

  Nixon: he was in the elite squad along with his dead brother

  Elliot: he killed his own brother but why?

  Nixon: because he believed that all mutants and synthetics should be killed after he thought they were an aberration

  Skah: Elliot Walker and Yahto

  Elliot Walker and Yahto: yes sir

  Skah: have you found anything?

  Elliot: no, the scouts said the same thing

  Yahto: so did they

  Walker: you see skah you can't trust anyone they're probably lying or up to something

  Skah: *sigh* it looks like all that's left is Rock's brother's death, but I'll have you two watch the outpost.

  Elliot: you want me and Walker to watch the outpost?

  Skah: yes, it's the only thing left for you two to do when Yahto stands guard at the gate

  Skah: is that clear?

  Elliot Walker and Yahto: yes sir!

  So Elliot and Walker go to the outpost to watch when Yahto stands guard at the gate.

  Elliot: you don't like standing guard at the outpost, do you?

  Walker: Well, all of us tigers always watch our friends and partners, I find it annoying.

  Elliot: everyone calls you "bullet tiger" why do they call you that?

  Walker: I was brought up by a family of arms dealers and so I started sorting and identifying cartridges and guns, my parents were very self-protective and there's always a gun in the house in case of invasion.

  Elliot: my family was an old generation family after our race was threatened with extinction because of the wolves, I always have the mark as a farmer.

  Walker: are you a farmer?

  Elliot: yes our whole family is, we were called Inari Fox because of our foreign culture.

  Walker: so you're fox from the east?

  Elliot: yes, huh?

  Elliot hears the sound of metal in the back of the outpost.

  Elliot: walker did you hear it?

  Walker: yes, and it sounds like it came from that outpost

  Elliot and Walker go inside the outpost to investigate, then Elliot and Walker shoot robots from the synthetic empire.

  Walker: hostile!

  Walker: Elliot, get ready!

  Elliot: Right!

  Elliot and Walker shoot two robots and destroy them, but the third one escapes.

  Walker: That old can is on the run

  Elliot: Leave it to me

  Elliot chases the robot and is attacked, the empire robot hits Walker knocking him unconscious, Elliot hits him in the head with the machine.

  Elliot: Walker!

  Walker: All right, kid, it's just a scratch

  Elliot: *breathing* you were almost killed by the machine

  Elliot: because the empire is looking for this position

  Walker: look at this

  Elliot: what is it?

  Walker: I think someone is working for the empire

  Walker and Elliot return to base after a short battle to report what happened.

  Skah: what did you think?

  Yahto: I was at the gate and there was nothing to report.

  Skah: right Elliot and Walker?

  Walker: we found the 4 empire robots on the outpost and it looks like someone from our faction sent them.

  Skah: I'm surrounded by traitors!

  Walker: but thanks to Elliot with his fox brain he managed to find the name

  Skah: who is it?

  Elliot: Sergeant Arthur

  Skah orders the base guards to arrest Arthur for treason and murder and Elliot wonders why all the soldiers would want to betray Skah's trust and the freedom of the slaves is a question that will always be on his mind but his answer will change every faction he has ever known
