Charlotte smiled at the group of children that sat with her in a circle, each of them was working on something different. Two girls around ten years old decided to try weaving. A boy next to them was carving utensils, multiple crude spoons were laying in front of him, opposite him a teenage boy was sewing a damaged shirt and yelped when he pricked his finger again.
While they worked Charlotte was finishing her own project, a beautiful bow rested on her lap, the dark wood was polished and the last coat of oil made it shine brilliantly in the warm light of the sun. The bow string made from a kind of flexible metal looked strong and in perfect condition.
“Alright kids, I’m gonna hand this in for some experience, just keep working and remember, even mistakes can help you improve. Especially you Toby.” The boy that was sewing blushed and managed to prick his finger again, the others laughed and Charlotte gave the kid a pat on the back and left them alone for now.
The small village in the middle of a beautiful forest was straight from some magical world, since the start of the tutorial everyone felt a deeper harmony while devoting themselves to new passions. Crafting, hunting, fishing. Some people even picked up metalworking and the clang of hammers could be heard day and night in the smithy.

Everybody needed time to adjust but only after a few days this felt like a proper life to them. Charlotte stopped in front of the kiosk, something the system set up so people could have their work evaluated and gain experience and sometimes even material from it. Usually they needed to go out for those themselves, fighting against the boars, foxes and rabbits that lived in the woods.
The kids got scared more than once when a boar managed to enter the village and the people tried to chase it away with their tools. But in general they enjoyed the new environment, maybe the system really was a gift from the gods.
Charlotte watched as her bow vanished and a moment later she got a notification

She grinned like a child in a candy shop and took the materials the system gave her, some type of wood that was shimmering green and blue and a small gem. Excited, she returned to the group of kids she was guarding and started working on a new project. I hope this never ends…
