Hey everyone. Lyghtbringer here. So I never did get back to this story.

  At the time, I had gotten very sick, and spent 2 weeks laid up in bed sadly. I didn't have a backlog at the time as I was writing this as a hobby day by day, which is why releases, while daily, were inconsistent in timing. I can't say I didn't learn anything from the experience, but I wish I had learned more, as I still feel like a total novice when I write anything at all.

  Still, I had a lot of fun working on this story, and I still think the idea is a good one, if a bit half baked. I'm currently working on a new project, which is posting its 20th chapter today on this website, feel free to check the post chapter note for that link. It's a lot more planned out, but the first couple chapters have been more disjointed than I would like. Still learning how to do this whole author thing I suppose.

  In the last 2 years, My daughter has turned 2, I've been working, and things have been a bit nuts. I'm considering coming back to this story eventually. I really liked the idea of barrier magic and don't want to let it die, but I'm a bit nervous to touch an old story again without just going back to square one.

  So, what I plan to do is keep this on hiatus at the moment and see what happens. If you guys are still around following this story, then amazing! I'll move my plans for this up a little bit. But if you aren't, and I wouldn't blame you, its been 2 years, then no big deal.

  My current thoughts are that, rather than just continuing from where I left off with this after my current project, I'll make it a weekly thing. Starting over from square one, and using the old chapters I've already made as a template. Fix some of the issues with the prose, the grammar issues, that sort of thing. Perhaps make a change or two to the pacing and the system but leave the overall content the same.

  Let me know? If this book restarting appeals to you, then I'll start working on it as well. I have time for an extra chapter a week at the moment. I know it's not the same quick pacing as before, but I can't imagine you guys are all still here hoping to see this novel restart.

  Vampire romance style could be a different enough angle for this book to keep some interest? Do people on royal road like romantasy novels? It's not a genre I've ever broken into before, but maybe it could be fun instead of just pure power fantasy?
