Bearing the wounded Fallace on his shoulder, Soshi stood behind him. His brown eyes pierced through his glasses as they got in contact with Konstantin's. Konstantin stood up and then ran up to the leader of the mafia.

  John was quite tall, standing at almost 2 meters. Therefore, he was quite surprised when he was faced with the 2 meter plus towering kind behemoth standing in front of him.

  "So you must be Fallace's comrades ey! A tall war priest, an elven wizard in red, and an armored swordwoman ey."

  "You're correct... However, that does not explain the state Fallace is in. What happened?"

  John Jester silently walked past Konstantin and put Fallace on the sofa before speaking.

  "I apologize... I am at fault for his state. However, we should prioritize treating him as soon as possible. His inner organs are still intact." John muttered, which sparked Audrey's concern to form into panic.

  "I'll get the healing potions!" Melian said, interrupting what would have been an embarrassing outburst from Audrey.

  Konstantin was disappointed since he wouldn't be using his newly learned Organic Restoration.

  "So why did this happen to him after all?" Audrey asked after she somewhat calmed down.

  "My men wrongfully assumed he was the criminal that has been kidnapping young girls since last year. They assumed Soshi was a victim due to her being under a spell..."

  "He was innocent, I know he was! Fallace admitted that he used a spell and regretted it. He just wanted me to smile." Soshi added, tearing up.

  "Here you go!" Melian poured the healing liquid down Fallace's mouth, and his body quickly absorbed its healing properties.

  "Everyone, what's going on?" Fallace's wounds healed momentarily, and he stood up.

  Audrey lit up, and Soshi brushed away her teary eyes. Konstantin smiled while Melian remained visibly unconcerned. John went on his knees and asked for forgiveness on both his and his men's behalf. Fallace thought for a second but was glad that he was no longer mixed up with a good for nothing kidnapper.

  "Fallace, I am unbelievably embarrassed on behalf of Justizia, which only acts based on respect and true justice. I wanted to ask you to join the organization. However, after all you went through and seeing how you all reacted to this situation, I won't separate you just yet ey. Therefore I propose a different way to pay you back. Soon, an auction hosted by the Leionholm guild will be conducted, and Justizia has been entrusted with security. I thought that since I was going to be there. You could might as well follow me and I'll give you any item as a gift, within reason ey! How does that sound?"

  "Do you really trust this guy?" Audrey whispered into Fallace's ear.

  Fallace gave it some thought. John was even thinking of offering him a position in Justizia, a group that always oppressed him. He was also constantly complimenting his skill. As someone who also grew up on the streets, he gave off a sincere intention.

  "Naturally, it's for Fallace to decide however you can also follow him. I'll come back tomorrow ey!" John said before heading out. Konstantin, who remained near the entrance, shook his hand.

  Then he left after making sure if Soshi was staying by asking. Konstantin was confused by what John meant but didn't let that shake his conviction.

  Audrey then told Fallace to tell them what happened in detail, and when that was done, they all spread out to their rooms. Except Soshi that decided to stay, who followed Fallace.

  Audrey suggested that Soshi could sleep with her. However, Soshi insisted on wanting to sleep with Fallace since he made her feel safe. Fallace was ecstatic hearing Soshi vouching for him like that. Audrey then had a dirty giggle that Konstantin quickly slapped her out of.

  Melian wanted to say something but was instead more interested in imagining what fantastic items were going to be on the auction. When Soshi and Fallace went to their room, Fallace collapsed on his bed.

  The healing potion may have healed his wounds, but not his exhaustion, and the regrown arm was still aching. Soshi then followed suit, getting in her underwear and sitting on the bed, inching closer to Fallace. She then started taking Fallace's clothes off with surprising might.

  Startling the poor chifling, Soshi laughed and assured him that everything was alright and that it was just like with her little brother. That expression only disappointed Fallace. He thought these events could lead to a spicy climax he had always dreamed of.

  "Fallace, I thought you were really cool standing up to those mafiosos. My whole life, everyone, even my dad, has been scared of them. But you still faced them." Soshi said as they both were about to fall asleep.

  "Haha, they're nothing the great Fallace can't handle!" He exclaimed and started coughing.

  "It hurts, doesn't it? Your body?" Soshi said, putting her hands on Fallaces arm and applying small force.

  Fallace reacted with a squirm and got sweaty.

  "Does it feel good when I do this?" Soshi said and gently hugged Fallace's arm so that her chest enveloped it.

  "Eh... Soshi, you... you shouldn't do that to a guy you just met." Fallace said turning red.

  "It's a little gift, I have seen you looking at them, so I knew you would enjoy it. Don't worry, and I feel safe because I can trust you, my hero."

  Fallace was filled with joy and his heart pounding. He could even feel Soshi's heart pounding. Was she enjoying this, too? Fallace had a fantastic sleep that night, and the two virginities persisted.

  The next morning, the party had gathered outside the inn waiting for John Jester. Audrey had noticed Fallace looking uncharacteristically wistful, which sparked her naughty thoughts about what Fallace and Soshi were up to.

  John arrived at the scene, jumping down from the roof of the building before them. The others were surprised as unlike Fallace and Soshi, they had yet to experience even a fraction of John Jester's might.

  He then told them to wear the Justizia ties he brought to them so that the other soldiers know that they aren't foes. Apparently, the Justizia tie is sown by an esteemed tailor that is beloved by the boss of the organization John Jester explained.

  Everyone followed John Jester through town while at the same time equipping the ties. All the nobles they met on the way either avoided eye contact or greeted the group nervously.

  Melian deduced that John Jester must be a prominent captain if even regular nobility is familiar with him. He may be more prominent figure than he lets on.

  "The auction is held by an archeology and foraging organization. Due to their popularity and legal freedom, it is therefore going to be held outside at the center of the Cillian district of the south." John tells the others.

  Fallace asks John why the authorities are allowing the mafia to guard the auction and even exist at all.

  "It's a tactic of mutual survival to ensure that the town is not destroyed by a war between Justizia and the mayor's allies. Personally, I have faith in the words of the Savior. But the mayor uses faith to control and subjugate the poor. There is no reason to be ambitious or fight back, as in the end, the Creator has already decided your destiny. I despise that rhetoric ey!"

  Konstantin felt bad that the politicians would manipulate the faith to their advantage. However, he was a little turned off by John's claims.

  "Fallace, the mayor's lineage, has been ruling this town for over a century. They have tried everything to terminate our ways of justice. Under the rule of Vovaldi Ahntdorf, they attempted to starve us out by taking advantage of their official relations with other towns in the region to block our income. We have therefore been forced to make business negotiations with towns in the neighboring kingdom, Flowing rivers. They trade their advanced technology for our esteemed spices that only grow in the rich region of lower West Hilt. Our unofficial relationship with mayers over the border has even brought about collaborative projects between the engineers of both kingdoms." John explained.

  When the group went past a station being renovated. They saw what looked like a giant series, carriages of metal behind the construction blockades.

  "That my friends is a train, a machine that moves with new steam-powered science from Flowing Rivers, completely without magic. Capable of transporting large quantities of products and people ey."

  Soshi and even Fallace living in Leionholm hadn't heard of the project. Konstantin couldn't even fathom what a train was or how it was supposed to work without magic. Melian, meanwhile, was awakening a lust for knowledge about this so-called steam power even though she usually only kept herself to engage with biological processes and studies. However, this mechanical beast intrigued her, just like when she was learning about cells and bodily functions. She decided to buy some books about Flowing Rivers' innovations later as she hadn't heard much about it in detail.

  When they finally arrived at auction, it was full of people, mostly of the aristocratic kind. There was a stage with a few chests standing before the audience and Justizia members surrounding the auction.
