Chapter 71 The Land of Extreme Yin

Chapter 71: The Land of Extreme Yin

Wang Suifeng and Qin Liangguang led the way, with Sanbao and the others following closely as they entered the nameless mountain vilge.

The further they ventured into the vilge, the more barren the scenery became. The path was overgrown with weeds, and thorns blocked their way, making each step a struggle. The group had no choice but to rely on Wang Yuanying’s Wood Elemental abilities to clear the vegetation as they carefully moved forward.

As they progressed, Wang Suifeng suddenly stopped, his gaze sweeping around. His brows furrowed.

"What's wrong?" Wang Yuanying was the first to ask.

Sanbao quickly followed up with, "What did you find?"

Wang Suifeng ignored Wang Yuanying’s question and simply said to Sanbao, "It seems like there’s someone in that courtyard over there."

Wang Suifeng’s disregard for her question made Wang Yuanying’s expression change slightly. She was evidently displeased, but the emotion was brief, quickly repced by her usual innocent expression, as if nothing had happened.

Unfortunately, this amusing shift in expression went unnoticed by Sanbao and Wang Suifeng.

Upon hearing Wang Suifeng’s words, Qin Liangguang immediately pulled a short knife from his boot, his expression serious as he slowly approached the courtyard. The others crouched low and followed cautiously.

Before they could enter the courtyard, a strong, pungent smell of blood hit them, causing them to feel nauseous.

"What is that smell?" Gu Xiaotu frowned and softly muttered a spell. After a moment, the ground in the courtyard began to churn. A gray-brown mud hand emerged, slowly lifting a pile of decaying remains from the grass.

It was a pile of bloodied wild rabbits and wild chickens, their flesh mangled. The once-red blood had started to darken in the sunlight.

Qin Liangguang stepped forward and picked up one of the rabbits to inspect. He saw that its abdomen had been torn open, its flesh and blood torn apart. He examined it for a moment, his expression becoming solemn. "This wasn’t killed by ordinary beasts. This rabbit’s blood was almost completely drained."

Wang Suifeng and Shi Mengsong also crouched down, picking up several wild chickens to inspect. After a moment, their expressions grew equally serious.

"Each one has been drained of all its blood," Wang Suifeng murmured, "There’s definitely something wrong here."

"Blood-sucking demons?" Qin Liangguang’s eyes gleamed with excitement as he clenched his fists. "My fists have been itching for a fight! This time, I’m going to kill a few demons no matter what!"

Sanbao couldn’t help but roll her eyes in her mind. *These people have low cultivation, but they sure know how to talk big. If we really run into some powerful demons, it’ll be up to Wang Suifeng and me to clean up the mess.*

She silently grumbled but didn’t point it out, instead staying vigint and continuing to follow the group.

After passing through the courtyard, the group pressed on, venturing deeper into the vilge. After some time, the scene before them suddenly opened up.

Ahead, they found themselves at the edge of a deep canyon, and at the bottom of the ravine, another vilge appeared.

This vilge was hidden in the valley, and once again, no sounds came from it. The entire canyon was eerily silent, with only the occasional gust of cold wind that sent shivers down their spines.

"There’s another vilge here?" Wang Yuanying excimed in surprise.

Sanbao’s gaze darkened, and she fell into deep thought. This terrain was known as the Land of Extreme Yin. The feng shui was destroyed, making it prone to disasters. Those who lived here would, at best, lose wealth, and at worst, lose their lives. Who would be foolish enough to build a vilge in such a pce?

The group remained silent and cautiously descended the mountain path. The journey through this canyon was even more difficult than before, and they weren’t sure how long they had been walking. Eventually, they reached the bottom of the ravine and stood at the entrance to the newly discovered vilge.

As soon as they stepped into the vilge, the once-bright sky suddenly darkened. A faint smell of blood lingered in the air, making them feel uneasy.

The vilge wasn’t rge, and the houses were neatly arranged. Unlike the previous vilge, the doors here weren’t tightly shut. They were left slightly ajar, and a gentle push was enough to open them. The group went from house to house, finding that the furniture inside was arranged neatly with no signs of damage. Some houses even still had half-eaten meals on the tables.

These meals had begun to mold but hadn’t rotted yet, indicating that the vilge had only recently been abandoned.

After a quick inspection of the vilge, the group chose a retively clean house, tidied it up, and decided to settle there temporarily.

As night fell, the cold moonlight bathed the canyon, and the vilge was enveloped in the soft glow of the moon. Every house appeared to be draped in white sheets, giving the pce a desote, sorrowful feel.

Sanbao sat by the window, staring into the dark night, her mind filled with countless possibilities.

What would happen tonight? With a heavy heart, she slowly drifted off to sleep...
