Chapter 2: A Journey to Grant a Miracle
My current goal was simple: help Mirabel Madrigal. I remembered watching a movie called Encanto back on Earth. It was an emotional story, though I couldn’t recall all the details—something about being true to yourself. The thought crossed my mind that maybe Earth’s stories were inspired by glimpses into other worlds. It was the only explanation that made sense in this strange, godly existence I now inhabited.
Regardless, step one of my plan was to convince my family to let me go. Step two was to open a portal to Mirabel’s world and grant her the miracle she prayed for.

Preparing for the Journey
I approached my dad, who was sitting in the dining room tinkering with something he’d built. “Hey, Dad. Family meeting in five. Can you gather everyone?”
“Sure thing, bud,” he replied without hesitation.
Once everyone was seated, I stood at the head of the table and began explaining. “So, you all know I’m a god now, right?”
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
“Yes,” they answered in unison, though their tones carried a mix of disbelief and awkward acceptance.
“Well, I’ve officially been assigned my domains. Domains are the universal laws a god oversees. Think of Zeus with the sky or Poseidon with the sea. I have the major domains of Space and Miracles, and the minor domains of Time and Money.”
“Okay, but why are you telling us this?” my little sister asked, her voice sharp and impatient.
I smiled. “Because one of my duties as a god is to answer prayers, and I’ve received my first one. Someone named Mirabel Madrigal prayed for a miracle. I need to grant it.”
The room grew quiet as they processed what I’d said. Finally, my dad nodded. “Alright, bud. If this is something you feel you need to do, we support you.”
The others murmured their agreement, and one by one, they left the room.

Opening the Portal
With their blessing, I focused my energy, drawing on 10 belief points to open a portal. The air shimmered before me as a glowing doorway materialized. It led to a short tunnel of swirling light, which I knew would take me straight to Casa Madrigal.
Steeling myself, I stepped through.

Arriving at Casa Madrigal
I stumbled out of the portal into a vibrant, sunlit courtyard. It was an outdoor dining area, lively and full of color. I quickly ducked into a nearby bush, using 3 belief points to cloak myself from any miracle-gifted individuals who might sense my presence.
From my hiding spot, I saw Mirabel rushing after her sister, Luisa—the one with superhuman strength. I followed them quietly, keeping my distance, until Mirabel eventually left the room of someone I assumed had the power of future sight.
Seizing the opportunity, I approached the door and knocked.

Meeting Abuela
The door creaked open, revealing an elderly woman. Her kind face held a hint of irritation beneath her polite smile. “Yes? May I help you?” she asked in a tone that was both gracious and guarded.
I straightened up and spoke clearly. “Does someone named Mirabel Madrigal live here? My name is Luka. I’m the god of Miracles, Space, and minor Time. I’ve come to deliver a miracle."
