Giant Demon 27

  Giant Devil 27

The sixth Oslo was unclear, and the holy knight of Til did not have a dead brain. The one with a dead brain was a mage apprentice from Sel. Panni rode on a summoned tall horse, galloping into the vast snow pine forest, traveling tens of miles away. Suddenly, he heard the sound of fighting coming from ahead. He slowed down his speed, and the horse's hooves quietly moved forward. However, he saw several corpses lying horizontally and vertically on the ground. These dead people wore standard light armor of the Northern Berserkers, with giant axes and knives scattered all over the ground. But it was unknown what kind of monster killed these warriors because there were no other signs left on the ground except for human corpses. Only a few giant claw marks on some trees told Panni that the killer was not human.

Panni raised her heart, closed her eyes and expanded her perceptual domain, while taking out several scrolls from her backpack.

He had a good habit, before resting every day, to copy the spells that he was sure he wouldn't use into scrolls, so when encountering enemies, in addition to the daily spells in his spell slots, there were also many scrolls to squander, and his combat power naturally increased greatly.

From around the bend came muffled roars and clashing steel, Panni dismounted quietly and crept closer to see several giant humanoid creatures with yellow-green skin surrounding a few blood-soaked light-armored warriors, attacking them relentlessly. These creatures had thick, long claws, but their backs and limbs were emaciated, with huge joints protruding, like evil spirits from the depths of hell. Their faces had curved, tawny fangs and long noses that were utterly terrifying. Panni quickly recognized these creatures.

Trolls, a large number of trolls! The trolls surrounding that group of warriors, roughly counted, were in the dozens. No wonder they could kill so many people without leaving behind a single corpse!

Pang Ni flipped over onto the horse's back, patted its head and was about to make a quick escape. This place is too dangerous, it's better to take a detour.

He had just turned his head when he felt a gust of wind coming from the other side of the forest, with a sharp cry piercing his ears, almost knocking him off his horse. Regaining his composure, he saw that the shining armor and giant helmet revealed long hair, leaving him stunned.

  Cerra Grofia

That is the female holy warrior of Thiel, riding a warhorse and charging towards the battle group.

"Haven't they already withdrawn?" Panni wondered in her heart, pressing down on the reins and deciding to wait a bit before acting.

As a Holy Warrior, protect the justice in your heart at all times.

After more than a decade of rigorous training, Tyl's conviction had penetrated every brain cell of Seraphina.

This is her first time leaving the holy temple since she was a child, and in her heart, it's also the beginning of a glorious journey.

So she absolutely cannot accept the fact that nothing is done and returned to the Temple of Tulmis, she must do something, although not keeping the law violates the code of the Holy Warrior, but she thinks fulfilling her own justice in her heart is more important.

Your Highness Tiel, grant me strength.

The war party drew closer, the girl on horseback made a short prayer, let out a loud shout, and with great force, she leaped off her horse, her body spinning in mid-air as she unsheathed her long sword. A massive amount of light seemed to gather around the blade's edge, emitting an intense heat that rivaled the sun as it sliced through the air. The sword struck down on the giant troll, like a red-hot branding iron piercing flesh. The troll let out a blood-curdling scream as its body was split in two at an angle. The powerful magic on the sword emitted sparks of electricity at the point of severance, and the troll's remains let out a sharp wail.

Penny Xien was stunned, watching the female Saint Warrior's smooth and effortless killing move, wondering what kind of strict training she had to undergo to possess such a proficient sword skill.

He had seen some high-ranking Seraph Knights before, but none of them had such a high level of swordsmanship.

But thinking about it is normal too, if one isn't an elite Holy Warrior, how would they have the qualifications to wield that holy sword imbued with magic?

The holy warrior under the banner of the benevolent camp has a strong appeal, can summon divine power to protect and destroy evil with a slash. However, after completing this string of high-difficulty moves, Cilla still shouted loudly and charged at the next giant demon, apparently, launching a single slash was very easy for her.

Although it was just a bit of help from one person, the boost to the morale of those few Berserkers was not to be underestimated. His originally exhausted body and mind were invigorated, and he continuously chopped down multiple giant demons, unexpectedly turning the tide and facing off against a large group of giant demons.

Cersei leapt up with a blow, and another giant devil fell down screaming. The giant devil's IQ was not low, and it loudly called out in the language of giants to change its main attack target to the female warrior.

The giant demon that was cut in two on the ground, its remaining corpse was still wriggling, and buds grew from the broken ends, as if it could revive at any time.

This terrible creature is almost immune to any lethal injury, no matter how severe the wound, even if its head is crushed, it can still grow a new one from its neck.

Only strong acids and fierce fires can cause them fatal harm.

"They will revive!" a Berserker loudly reminded, waving the torch in his hand: "Use this!"

Cersei dodged the giant's massive swiping blow, grabbed a torch and thrust it at the struggling injured giant. The dancing flames seared against the wound, making a sizzling sound, but apparently not as effective as expected. The giant let out a roar and slapped the torch to the ground with one swipe of its paw.

"Can't entangle! Quick march! Withdraw into the outpost!" A frenzied warrior swung a torch to drive away several giant demons, shouting loudly as he formed a circular formation with his remaining companions, fighting while retreating to the other side of the forest.

Cera furrowed her brow, although she had received rigorous training as a Holy Warrior since childhood, she was not rigid and knew that this was not the time for a hard fight. She took small steps back, intending to retreat into the circular formation, but several giant demons had already locked onto her, their massive claws constantly harassing her retreat route. After a few seconds, she found herself trapped in a state of being surrounded.

  "Kill!"

She let out a loud cry, raised her long sword above her head, and once again summoned divine power to activate the Evil-Slaying Slash. The dazzling sword light pushed the two giant demons, their bodies blurry with blood, more than ten feet away. She took advantage of the brief moment to leap out, but the giant demon behind her chased after her relentlessly. Her mood was irritable, and just then, she heard a low, muffled chant from the side. Her foot slipped, and she was tripped up by a slippery, oily thing.

"Get up!" She heard a somewhat childish male voice, looked up and saw a not-so-unfamiliar young man riding on a horse, with a glowing magic scroll in his hand: "Stand behind me!"

"Thanks for the help!" She hastily grabbed onto a branch and stood up from the greasy substance, standing behind Penny.

Behind her, five or six giant demons were tripped by the ink and fell heavily due to their large bodies. They struggled frantically, but Pan Ni chanted again, releasing a web spell that covered a large area in front of her with incredibly thick, transparent spider silk. The struggling giants were all trapped, unable to move for the time being.

  Burning Hand!

A flash of flame swept through, igniting the spider silk fibers and the oil on the ground together, adding to the trees in the forest, with an effect like a knocked-over kerosene lamp. Several low-level spells combined to produce a terrifying effect, as flames burst out like pillars, and a group of giant demons wailed as they gradually turned into ashes, their oily skin being the best fuel for burning.

Penny killed a large number of ogres, and the remaining few ogres, seeing that they were no longer in an advantageous position, let out a loud howl and turned to flee. Penny and Cera stared at each other for a moment, clearly neither of them understanding why the other was there, but when they saw the several wounded berserkers approaching, they tacitly didn't ask any questions.

Those mad warriors thanked them: "Both of you, thank you for your assistance."

"No need to be polite, it's what a servant of Tyr should do." Seraphina removed her great helm, and several of the berserkers clearly hadn't noticed that their benefactor was a woman; they stared in surprise, momentarily forgetting how to speak. Seraphina looked at the wounds on them and frowned: "Your injuries are quite severe, would you like me to pray for divine intervention to heal you?"

"Oh, no need, esteemed Saint Warrior Miss. You're already exhausted." The leading Berserker said: "There's a possibility of giant demons appearing here at any time, let's hurry back to the sentry post."

"Are you warriors of Madilgar's outpost?" Panni suddenly spoke up after a long silence.

"Yes, I am Warden Spinel." the Berserker replied.

"So, from what you said earlier, does that mean you've been getting attacked by trolls a lot lately?" Penny asked after thinking for a moment.

"Not bad, recently the outpost... has encountered a very serious problem." Spernill thought for a moment and decided to tell the truth: "A large group of ogres appeared from somewhere, attacking the outpost day and night, and many of our comrades have already died inside."

"Wait a minute, are you saying that this place hasn't been invaded by the rebels yet?" Panni frowned.

"This is Southeast, still far from the rebel army." Spernill was apparently somewhat puzzled by Penny's words.

  That witch is indeed problematic...

Pan Ni's intelligence, which wasn't considered stupid, quickly judged that the female witch had intentionally led him here.

This place is obviously not the center of conflict between rebels and witches, but Penny feels that she has grasped a clue.

At least that witch is worth investigating.

If there is no ghost in one's heart, how can one play tricks?

Following this direction will definitely yield results.

  He became somewhat agitated.

"We've already sent several messengers to Mushteril, but there's been no word from the reinforcements so far. Are you here to assist us, Holy Warrior?" Meanwhile, Spinel suddenly asked the female Holy Warrior, drawing Parn's attention.

"I will of course follow Thiel's teachings and uphold justice, although..." Serra's cheeks flushed: "It was just me alone."

Several fierce warriors looked at each other for a while, with obvious disappointment and despair on their faces. A Holy Warrior and a Mage, although they might have some combat power, what great use could they be?

But fortunately Parn and Serra saved their lives, and they politely asked the two to return to the sentry post to rest.

"You sneak out like this, isn't it a bit too much? Not following the rules and regulations, doesn't seem to be the code of conduct for a Holy Warrior." Along the way, Panni asked the female Holy Warrior.

"When justice and the law conflict, justice should be the law. I couldn't persuade Captain, so I'll carry out justice alone." Sera said seriously, confirming Panni's conjecture in her heart.

Forget it, it has nothing to do with me... Pan Ni shrugged and thought so. But Cera smiled:

"Aren't you also making the same choice as me? It seems that the path of justice will never be lonely."

Pang Ni was taken aback, feeling unable to keep up with this Holy Warrior's train of thought: "I'm here to investigate the Unconscious."

"This is the cause of justice," Sara said affirmatively.

That's not necessarily true... thought Penny secretly.

The reason why Hongpao does things can be life, can be hatred, can be benefit, but justice is not in his dictionary...

"Don't worry, you won't be alone." Serra patted Penny's shoulder again: "As long as it's the path of justice, I'll definitely go with you."

What a fool, but also a good helper. Penny recalled the female saint warrior's astonishing combat power and thought it wouldn't be bad to gather some intelligence, so she asked: "By the way, how much do you know about those mindless ones?"

Ceran thought for a moment, furrowed his brow and said: "They are followers of the evil demon, as the favored child of Tial, we should not allow the dark power of the abyss to wreak havoc in Faerun. Therefore, the bishop sent us to investigate the source."

"Is there anything else specific you haven't mentioned? For example, why did you run away from the Laisemann investigation?"

"Because the church's area of activity is only in the northern part of the Eastern Domain." The one who answered was not Sera, but Panni and the female saint warrior turned their heads to look at the direction where the voice came from, and saw that half-elf Anel had appeared behind the crowd not far away, as if he had suddenly popped out. Panni was startled: "How did you follow us?"

"Two of you, this is your friend." The warrior in front turned his head back and saw that the team had inexplicably added one more person, and was shocked at the same time.

"Yes." Panni nodded, the warriors continued on their way, Panni intentionally slowed down a few steps to chat with Anel, quietly pulling away from the warriors in front. Serra also came over.

"You guys ran away one after another before dawn, and I had to chase you for a long time." The half-elf yawned: "I took your money, so I should have some professional ethics. I couldn't leave my employer at will before finishing the job. Besides, investigating the Church of the Unconscious is also part of my work."

"Work?" Penny frowned: "Why are you interested in this thing."

"Because I'm a spy, I need intelligence, that's all." Anel spread his hands: "Don't think of me as too noble."

That's a passable reason, Penny nodded her head, she also thought that this human artist was unlikely to have any noble sentiments.

But as it turns out, three people with three different motives have coincidentally come together for the same purpose, making cooperation a matter of course.

"It seems Mr. Kamajo was right." Serra suddenly frowned and interjected: "Mr. Stefani, you are a thoroughgoing rogue intelligence dealer."

"He's jealous, jealous." Anel brushed his hair back and cried out in dismay: "He's envious of my handsome, elegant, erudite and talented self."

"So what talent does Mr. Stefanni have?" Sara asked curiously.

"Of course it's art." Anel smiled, the smile hinting at a sinister intent: "Miss Grophia Warrior, would you be interested in discussing art with me?"

"Wait a minute," Pannie coughed, "Tell me more about the Church of the Unintentional."

"For Pete's sake, can't you just cooperate for once?" Annel glared at Penny in exasperation.

"Sorry, I don't have an obligation to cooperate with you," Penny said calmly.

"Alright, to be honest I don't know much about the Church of the Unseen either, only that many things that have happened in Laissermann over the past two years are related to them. If my analysis isn't wrong, it seems like the spearhead is vaguely aimed at the south, at Ser." As he spoke, Anel gave Penni a meaningful glance.

"Could it be that this demon cult still has a connection with the evil Red Robe Master?" Sela asked curiously.

"Maybe, just maybe." Anel glanced at the silent Penny again and shook his head: "But as far as I know, this organization, apart from stirring up trouble in Laiserman's political arena, often performs blood sacrifices in secret places. Some deep research suggests that those who do so are usually demons who are still weak and eager to regain their power."

"Are you saying this demon might be in a relatively weakened state?" Penny asked.

In a relatively weak state, it can still summon a powerful abyssal demon with just one projection. How terrifying would its power be in its heyday?

Just thinking about Penny makes him feel scared.

"In short, no matter what, we must first figure out what this guy is going to do."

"That witch is really suspicious." Penny thought for a moment, then expressed her doubts about the witch. Anel fell into deep thought, while Cera suddenly cried out:

  "She actually deceived us."

"So, this matter is more troublesome than I thought." Anel thought for a moment and let out a sigh.

Penny remained silent, and at this time the trees by the roadside gradually thinned out. Not far away, a dilapidated sentry post appeared in sight.

"We've arrived," said a few of them. The frenzied warrior in front stopped in his tracks.
