Foreword

  There are quite a few things to say.

  First, you might think that my English sounds weird and unnatural. Well, no surprise there; I wasn’t born in an anglophone country, so I tend to mix expressions from all around

  If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

  Second, the thing about swords being a noble weapon is only valid for this world and does not reflect European history; swords were cheap and common in early medieval Europe and there were time and places when it was mandatory for commoners to own a weapon.

  Third, I practiced fencing, but I don’t have the faintest clue about spear fighting; everything comes from my imagination.

  Fourth, the map is mostly inspired by medieval Bulgaria, but the people's names are of more diverse origins.
