Ended up doing a lot of reading and ultimately I stayed on with Draft2Digital since they reach markets I'm waaaay too lazy to self-publish to or even markets that don't use English as a default language (dunno why they'd publish my thing there but I can't complain). Instead I'll be directly handling Kobo and Amazon Kindle.

  I stated in a previous now deleted post that I don't particularly like Kindle, and that still holds, given that my plagiarized work was only taken down because the plagiarist had taken from more established authors than me, dismissing my claim by stating that "The description of your copyrighted work does not match the content you reported as infringing."

  That said, since I'm already handling Kobo myself I figured it couldn't hurt to use Kindle alongside it. Anyway, some copy paste from the previous time I made a post on this.

  1. Why not be immediately available?

  Cause I can be very neurotic sometimes and am likely to want to change stuff for the e-book version and I want to give myself time to let things settle. The other reason is so that it releases around the point of the summer holidays, though it's not exact but what the hell. Final reason is so I don't just jump on this platform and scream "book published" into the void where nobody reads it, or people who do read it only see that I've been inactive for 5 years.

  In some ways I'm glad I did, given that it took many days to even get the books properly set up for pre-order on the various platforms, and it gave me time to do reading into the whole withholding tax by the U.S.

  2. How much?

  $2.99 on markets from D2D and ￡2.99 on any other platform. I think that's a standard price so you know, no fanfare. As to why GBP... well that's more of a thought for the future.

  3. Why would I want this?

  Only if you want to support me. At the moment, besides some typo stuff and editorial stuff (which I largely didn't update to here because I didn't track them and updating 120+ chapters one by one would be actual hell.) there's really nothing differentiating them. In the future, as I've stated before I'm hoping to be able to spring for illustrations, it may also be worth me getting an actual editor to help correct some of my bad habits.
