Prologue

Stepping away from the row of fencing I stopped to admire my work. After patching up this part I can finally buy a horse without worrying about it running off.

As I imagined in my head the multitude of names that could be used, I didn’t realize the sound of the forest on the other side of the fence had disappeared.

In fact, I couldn’t move my body an inch. The tops of the trees weren’t moving either. The high wind I’ve been experiencing all day had stopped as if everything were put on pause.

The stillness and my immovable body was the least of my worries however, as a shadow blotted out the sky. An object that could only be called massive was blocking out the sun.

With the appearance of the object came my freedom to move. My curiosity got the best of me and I raised my head to look at what was shading my view.

It was no object. It was a sphere. To be specific…

  …it was a world.
