Deep within the confines of the Amazon Rainforest, something quite unusual could be noticed. It was quiet. Not what one would expect of such a lively place. It was as if each and every living being in the area had mysteriously disappeared. They hadn’t of course, the origin of this deafening silence could be attributed to an incredibly loud popping noise that rang out roughly 15 seconds before.

  This was the reason most of the present creatures had effectively gone into stealth mode. Most being the operative term. The exception to this rule could be found at the origin of the sound. A sludge like substance with a hue not too dissimilar to crude oil was splattered against seemingly every surface in the immediate area. Contrary to silly things like common sense, this was a single living being. And it was silent for a completely different reason.

  The slime was attempting to process the sudden influx of information. Being snapped into existence can be a rather jarring experience after all. It had no idea where it was, what it was, or how it had gotten to this place; but it eventually decided how to start unraveling these mysteries. The sludge slowly began to creep its way towards a midpoint, eventually coagulating into a shiny black blob.

  After the initial disorientation had worn off, which was seemingly facilitated by it’s more localized state, it decided to do one of the only things it had seemingly come here knowing.

  Though the slime could not actually read what the strange symbols said, it was still able to get the gist of it. The meaning was more or less beamed into it’s mind along with the text itself. That being said it still did not understand everything. It understood that the words under the Skill Section were things that it was able to do, but their actual function was a mystery. It decided to focus on one of the words.

  [CONGEAL]

  To the slime’s delight, this yielded results.

  This revolation, explained why congeal had made such significant progress when compared to its other skills.

  With this newfound ability to gather information, it repeated the process for the rest of the listed skills.

  This was a lot to work with, and now that the slime understood it’s skills and to a lesser extent how to level them up, it was quite excited to start.
