Saki

  I sighed as I activated the golems all at once. All around the city, over three thousand golems turned to dust and flooded the entire city in a thick dust. It invaded every home, location, and even the sewers and skies. Nothing was left unclaimed by the dust on the map.

  Except for Tamaneko’s Ward. Which was apparently a literal ward. It kept out everything. Well, it kept out the golems at the bare minimum. I still needed to go look at it.

  After a moment, I pushed the correct button on the tablet and all the golems instantly reformed and began marching back to their location in the warehouse.

  “Excellent work Royal Advisor Saki!” General Tully said as he coughed up some of the dust and smiled at me. “With the plague gone, we can handle cleanup and other pressing matters.”

  I smiled and turned to look back at the Castle. “Indeed, but first, I need to check on Tama. I know it’s only been a few hours but…”

  General Tully nodded knowingly and bowed with a gesture to go ahead. I bowed back and made my way back towards the castle. “Ah! Wait!” I turned to see General Tully rush up to me.

Would you mind setting up a few golems near the front that cleanses anyone leaving or coming in? Also, we might need a few to travel to other villages that might be infected…”

  I smiled as I gently took his hand. “General, I already have six golems at the front gate. I also sent a small contingent of five golems each to the surrounding villages.” My tail lashed behind me as I calmed my nerves.

  “Ah, I see, as expected. My apologies!” His response was actually slightly surprising. He pursed his lips and looked uncertain. I had never seen him that way. Was he crushing on me? I mean… I wasn’t against the idea, but I was with Lyran and…

  “Royal Advisor, may I ask you something?” I blinked, but nodded. Might have to let him down gently. Or maybe if I could convince Lyran into it… Tully was a handsome man! “It’s just…” He trailed off and I leaned in.

  This was far from the first guy to ask me out right? But we would have a working relationship.   He looked at me for a long moment, then looked like he was holding back a gag! “I apologize Royal Advisor, but I am literally more than double your age. I suggest you spend time with your Queen or boyfriend for such… things…”

  My eye twitched and I suddenly felt very undesirable. “I.. what! I am super attractive!” I snapped angrily as I glared at him. He held up his hands but I continued. “Also, Lyran and I aren’t exactly exclusive, we are allowed to sleep around!”

  He bit his lower lip and I paused as I realized I was snapping at him in public. I paled, then put up an illusion and tried to calm myself. Slowly, I swallowed and responded. “Ah.. I er… ahem.. Of course, I will find more appropriate clothing.”

  General Tully nodded gratefully. Then turned and walked towards the gates. Did I really just.. With the General? Why? Have I become so open since getting here that I considered… I watched him as he walked away.

  Was it petty and childish? Obviously not! A child wouldn’t be smart enough to consider it! I paused at that, then my smile widened. I opened the map and found Lyran in the warehouse on it. I tapped on his tag and clicked “New Task.”

  Rubbing my legs together, I sent Lyran, our new Royal Engineer, an important task in Tama’s bedroom. One that was of the topmost priority. Then with a giggle, I turned and made my way to the castle.

  “But.. that won’t interrupt training though right?” He asked finally. I shook my head, he shrugged. “Then I don’t care. Let her sleep with whoever she wants. As long as my blade meets hers, I don’t care what she does.”

  “Really?” I said in disbelief. You do realize she might be sleeping with the Royal Engineer and I very soon.”

  Drake snorted. “And?” I had no words.. The man literally cared more about his girlfriend fighting him then who she did intimate things with. I paused as I considered if they would ever have sex at that rate.

  I looked over at Tama. Her head had suddenly spun to face Drake and she had a fierce grin on her face. “Tama would dommynate you!” she said as she blinked over to him.
