Senia woke Jordy that morning and changed their schedule a bit.

  " I want to see if you can gain access to mana before we return to Tylis" and with that in mind she increased our physical conditioning training.

  Long distance sprints, grueling strength checks, and resistance swimming became par for the course. They only had about 2 and a half weeks to accomplish this feat and Senia was determined.

  " Back home I have 5 siblings, all female as well and whilst our relationships are harmonious in general, they can be domineering to those they determine lesser.

  All of this training and preparation is so that you can rapidly increase your strength so that you won't be bullied. If you are determined a weakling, you will be denied the position I have prepared for you. You must become strong to stand by my side." Senia said

  All of this encouraged Jordy. Having a princess open a job position for him and help him find his place on this plane was a great help compared to his last experience.

  He was determined to make her proud. So, he continued his training and education with her. Two weeks went by swiftly. Another morning, this one different from the others. Today was the day for the first attempt at awakening mana.

  After breakfast Senia and I gather in the yard. "Sit" Senia says. Into the lotus position I go. She places a hand on my back. " I'm going to insert a strand of my mana into your body and probe you. The first step is to map your pathways and clear any blockages. After that it's up to you to absorb the mana in the air and circulate it through your system to empower yourself."

  " I will say, you should avoid an attempt to circulate mana through your head before you do more research on the subject as you could hurt yourself really badly."

  "Alright. I'm going to start now." Senia said and then I felt a slight tingle in my back. I waited patiently for the next instruction. Moments went by... I attempted to glance behind me.

  Senia could be seen sweating almost profusely. Face scrunched up in concentration.

  "Is everything ok?" I asked.

  Finally, I received a response. "I have never seen so much filth congested into one person ever...." was the reply.

  Appalled I turned my head some more. "What do you mean???"

  "Your meridians, no. Your entire body is stuffed with impurities. Before you can begin to absorb mana, you have to clear this filth, and I might not be able to complete this task for you."

  That dampened my mood a bit.

  " What do you mean we have to work harder?" I asked.

  " It's that simple. With what we have available to us the only way to fix your problem is to increase intensity. You naturally loosen the blockages via exercise. So, we increase the intensity of your workouts whilst finding an initial acupoint to release some of that filth inside you. Then you can cycle mana through your system naturally and clear yourself out."

  it sounded really simple but it wasn't.

  With only a few days remaining before they return to Tylis Senia and I worked hard to clear some of the blockage at least partially. To our delight we managed to clear my left side. The difference was immediate. There was a feeling of clarity and lightness of body I had never felt before. The downside my other half not being able to match the same ability of my now unblocked left half.

  "It's ok" Senia said

  "We'll get the other half done once we return to Tylis, if we can't fix it while we travel"

  So, I continued the regimen as usual. Physical conditioning, book study, and limit breaking exercise before bed. Before you knew it, it was time to head to the mainland.

  Senia and I stood side-by-side as we watched our transport arrive. It was a medium-large class boat. Made for passenger travel and some cargo. The captain of the ship was a Tall but non-descript man named James. He welcomed us aboard and to our quarters for the trip. Two one-bedroom rooms with an adjoined doorway on the inside. Private enough, but also accessible in case of emergencies. I made myself comfortable with what little belongings I had. Mostly clothing that Senia purchased for me. For all the training we did, the only combat we touched upon was basic hand to hand combat. I was too "fresh" to be introduced to weapons she said. Even for hunting purposes.

  The crew were still unloading the previous cargo from the ship and ordering new supplies. We had a several hours before we set off, so now was as good a time as any to think.

  Yes. Think. This was my second transmigration. Though much more pleasant than the first. I'm still in disbelief. Is my previous life gone? What happens now? Do I forget and move on?

  I suffered a lot previously and maybe this time was to make up for the horror of my first respawn. Why are these two realities so wildly different?
