The kids came back each with a magical object grinning. Dru following them with a face that said that he hadn’t had to bat an eyelash. When Reem saw Nerezza he ran over and thumped into her in his now expected manor. Nerezza lifted him and held him close Zephon ended up right next to her and Garion ran to Showl babbling about their adventure.
Nerezza looked at the scene and really felt like they looked like a family. She loved the idea of it a bit more then she necessarily wanted to admit before time made her sure. They sat for dinner and ate together.
“So we’re going to visit the Guardians.” Showl announced. Garion groaned frowning. Reem and Zephon exchanged glances.
“What’s wrong with that?” Reem asked Garion.
“They passed me around and poked at me. They called me the little curiosity.” He grumbled shivering at the memory. Nerezza raised her brows and looked the Showl. Showl didn’t look any more excited to see them.

“Why do they want to see us?” Zephon asked. Nerezza brushed his head back.
“Because they want to poke at me and see what I’m like.” Nerezza joked. It seemed that was the wrong thing to say because three set of little displeased expressions were casted her way.
“No.” Reem decided leaning into her.
“I’ve been working on a shield?” Zephon offered holding her hand. “It’s still small.”
“Father they can’t touch Madam Nerezza.” Garion grumbled. Then looked at her and his two brother’s and looked a bit sad.
“They just want to see what she’s like.” Showl insisted. “And Nerezza can handle herself.” He pointed out. She grinned at that.
“And they’re going to tell us if they’re okay with us being a family.” She added. The boys perked at that.
“And if they say yes will we be?” Reem asked excitedly. Nerezza blinked realizing her over step and considered the best answer. With three sets of expectant eyes and one set that was pointedly not looking at her she made her decision.
“I’d like to have their permission but I’d want to be your family no matter what.” Nerezza promised.
