Damien and Luc awoke nestled together to the sound of soft knocks on the door. “Sir, you asked to be informed when Mr. Seth returned” a servant said. “Thank you, we will be down in a moment. Prepare him anything he need.” Damien said. Damien and Luc got out of bed and looked at each other's bodies as they got dressed in tunics and trousers. The went down to the large dining room and found Seth. He looked rumbled and disheveled as he sat at the table, a plate in front of him as he ate a cold meal. Damien and Luc sat down at the table and Seth looked up at them. “Who is this?” Seth asked Damien “I remember him getting in the carriage this morning after I got out.” “This is Luc, he is helping me with the investigation” Damien said. Seth nodded and Damien order some drinks to be brought for him and Luc. “How did the investigating into Malik go?” Damien asked Seth as a servant brought drinks out to the table. Damien thanked the servant and turned to Seth. “Malik is difficult to pin down. It seems most people don’t know much about him beyond that he left with an expedition and came back changed.” Seth said, “I tried to follow him during the day, but he disappeared into the restricted archives for hours at a time, and I would sit at the entrances and wait for him to emerge.” Seth looked disturbed “I did not talk to him but there was something off about him” Seth said. “I was able to talk to him, and I agree there was an aura of something off about him” Damien said. Luc looked at Damien and Seth but remained silent as they talked. “How was your investigation today Damien” Seth asked. Damien started into his story about going into the lower city and their time among Fox’s gang. “Sounds like you had an exciting time today do expect any updates on the people who attacked you” Seth asked. “I expect some kind of update in a day or two.” Damien said. “What are you going to do in your investigation tomorrow?” Seth asked Damien. “I have some contacts in the common and Noble a part of the city that I want to question tomorrow” Damien said and then asked, “What are you going to be doing tomorrow?” “I don’t know yet I am most likely going to be at the university again unless something comes up” Seth said and then pushed back from the table “I am going to bed now if the room is still open to me.” “The room is your for as long as you need it Seth” Damien said, and he turned to Luc “I am going back to bed is you coming?” Luc nodded and smiled at Damien. Damien dismissed his servants so they could go and rest. Damien and Luc returned to his room, and they stripped off their clothing again and got back into bed. Damien felt Luc snuggle against him as they fell back asleep.
