"So what you're saying is that they are refusing me?" Darren growled at his Secretary.
"That's correct, sir. They said that they cannot allow you to be a part of his security detail since you are currently on their watchlist and unless Grey has allowed the meeting they cannot allow you near him. This is apparently the consequence of meeting him yesterday."
Darren leaned back in his chair and tapped his fingers hard against his chair in irritation. This whole situation was irritating and annoying but he couldn't seem to find a solution since he was making stupid mistakes due to his temper. He couldn't seem to reign it in and found himself making rash judgements that he normally wouldn't make.
All because his little bird escaped its cage and had seemingly flown straight into another cage that he couldn't reach. Haaa... not once in his entire life was he denied anything and he wasn't going to let it start now.
"Connect me to the Chairman."
------------------
Talen waited in the hallway shadow of the lobby and watched as Grey walked towards the elevators with Meric in tow. He scratched his head and frowned, he knew there was no way Meric would give them space like Alice had yesterday.
What should he do now? He couldn't go and wait for him at the apartment like yesterday and honestly, the thought made him frustrated. Why was he wasting time like this? It was just a one night stand and it didn't even involve any purification. Granted.. that one night had been the pinnacle of his sexual experiences.
Yea, he could confidently say it was by far the best. He couldn't explain it himself but the pleasure that he had felt with Grey was indescribable. He thought back to all the times he had been purified through sex and not one those times could come even close to the sex he had with Grey, and his didn't even include healing. He couldn't understand it.
He shook his head, maybe he needed to get a healing to clear his mind. He headed to the elevators and took it to the 28th floor of the guiding offices and heading towards the S rank room where S rank Yin Reo Maren was waiting. He swiped his card against the security console, waiting for permission to enter.
The door slid open with a soft swish and Reo stood from his desk and looked at Talen.
"Yang Talen, are you here for purification?" His voice was high and soft but made Talen tense with disgust.
"Why else would I be here." He grumbled. Reo was his assigned partner but he had to share him with four other Yangs. Sharing him with others didn't bother Talen at all. In fact, he enjoyed having three and foursomes while getting purified but what annoyed him was the Yin's attitude. Reo acted like Talen belonged to him, like he was the only one who could ever save Talen.
It was bullshit. He wasn't the only one who could purify him as he had plenty of A ranks who did the job just fine before he came along. Sure, it went a lot quicker since he had more energy but the quality wasn't any better. In fact, he was almost certain the A ranks tasted better. They also weren't clingy which is why he used a few more than the others.
Reo was short and small, barely coming to Talen's chest with golden blonde hair and bright cat-like sharp green eyes. In all senses, he was quite beautiful but the moment he opened his mouth the arrogant vibe was as clear as day and made it difficult for Talen to see anything other than disgust for the Yin.
Talen frowned, Reo was so sharp compared to Grey. Grey who had long silky and sparking midnight hair that fell just past his waist. It was soft and Talen loved running his fingers through it as fucked Grey from behind or when he held him in his arms and watched him sleep. His eyes were clear teal with golden flecks scattered around the pupil that shinned when filled with tears and heat as he stared up at Talen in pleasure. And those soft pink lush lips made the sexiest sounds when he was deep inside him hitting all the right spots... Yea, pink had become his new favorite color. The same soft pink that was all over Grey's body like he was actually a fairy born from a flower.
Reo smiled brightly and practically skipped over to him, grabbing his hand, pulling him from his thoughts and causing him to frown. Reo just giggled and pulled him towards the bed. Talen sighed, he really had no interest in fucking Reo. He sat on the edge letting Reo hold his hand for purification, "Let's see how bad it is."
"Huh?" Reo breathed out in confusion.
Talen frowned and looked at Reo, "What?"
"Did you get purified before coming here? You're completely healed." Reo said while closing his eyes and concentrating harder on his energy. Talen froze.
Now that he thought about it, he wasn't hurting anywhere and his usual head and body aches were gone along with the tinnitus and he even got his ability to smell back. He face palmed.
How did he not even notice this? He had been calling Darren an idiot but here he was coming to get purified when he didn't even need it. Any idiot would have realized this the moment they woke up completely healed.
But his stupid ass was consumed with finding Grey so they could fuck again. He sighed, Wow, this was truly the dumbest moment of his life. But wait, if he was completely healed then who healed him? He and Grey didn't do purification the entire time they were fucking. He knew it for sure as he had attempted to taste him a few times and couldn't since he had his energy locked up tight.
Talen frowned, now that he thought of it, that should have been impossible. Talen was S rank and Grey was C rank. If Talen wanted to do a reverse purification he could easily do it. Of course that could get himself locked in solitary for punishment but that didn't change the fact that he could easily do it if he had wanted to.
And he had, so why couldn't he? No matter how much he thought of it, it didn't make sense. Sure, Grey was a unique Yin who apparently could match with every Yang but that didn't mean his energy should be strong enough to handle an S-rank Yang. No, it didn't make sense at all.
There was only one conclusion: Grey wasn't C rank and he had purified Talen.
Talen smiled to himself. Yea, there was a reason he couldn't get over Grey. Even if his idiot brain took a while to process what had happened, his body already knew and craved him. Yea, at least he didn't make a mistake.
"Oh, so you just wanted to spend time with me, is that it? Why didn't you just say it? Instead you're acting like you don't even want to be here which totally gave me the wrong impression. If you like me, just say it." Reo said as he leaned over Talen and hooked his arms around his neck.
"I guess you were just being shy. I didn't know you had such a cute side." He tried to sit on Talen's lap, but Talen stood up quickly, swiping his hand across to pull Reo's arms from around his neck.
"If my headache isn't from lack of purification, then I'll head to the Hospital wing."
"What?" Reo asked shocked and upset at being rejected.
"I didn't come here for you. I just assumed my headache was because I needed to be purified but if that isn't the case, I'll be on my way."
"Wait! Now that I think about it, I have't purified you in a week or so, who healed you?"
"It's none of your business. Anyway, I'm out." Talen glared at Reo before turning to leave.
Reo grabbed his wrist to stop him but Talen slapped it off, he did it lightly but the Yin still screamed out in pain.
"Ugh! I think you broke my fingers!" Reo clutched his hand to his chest and looked at Talen like a pitiful animal that had been left out in the rain. Talen didn't even hit him and knew that Reo was lying so he just shook his head and left through the door not bothering to stop at his pleas.
He made his way back towards the elevators when he saw Len walking down the hall.
"Why's he bitching now?" Len scowled as he heard Reo still yelling for Talen.
"Who the fuck knows." Talen shrugged and continued on.
"Hey, is it true you're after that little C-rank?"
Talen paused mid-step and looked over his shoulder at Len. "So what if I am?"
Len shrugged and smirked. "I met him last night, pretty little thing. I get it."
Talen scowled, "You met him?"
Len smirked wider at Talen's reaction and nodded, "That's right, I'm part of his security detail and we have been briefed about keeping both you and Darren away from him. I didn't believe at first but seeing your reaction, I guess it's true. Never thought an infamous playboy like yourself would fall for a lower rank. Although, after seeing him, I truly get it. I thought Reo was the prettiest but Grey is quite possibly the most beautiful human I have ever seen and he doesn't even seem to know it. Dangerous. But I get it."
Talen growled but sucked in a breath and nodded, "Yea, I'd appreciate it if you kept your hands to yourself when around him from now on. He's mine."
"Yours? I haven't heard anything about that." Len crossed his arms and smiled, never in a million would he ever believe that Talen was capable of jealousy.
"Trust me. He's mine, he just doesn't know it yet."
Len nodded. "Sure. Good luck." He turned waving as he made his way down the hall towards Reo. "I've got my own little toy now anyway. He is quite fun to play with."
Talen watched until Len entered Reo's door and then got into the elevator. He didn't need to stay to know what those two would be doing now and he definitely didn't want to hear it. Again, not because he was a prude or anything but Reo's voice was like nails on a chalkboard to his ears and he certainly didn't want to hear him getting off. He shivered and shook his thoughts.

Well now that he finally realized what had happened, he knew he had to see Grey again. But considering he was already on the watchlist, none of the Yangs would let him through unless Grey specifically asked for it and he knew Grey definitely wouldn't, at least not at this moment.
He needed a way. He could think of a million not so nice ways of getting to Grey but he wanted Grey to want him too. For now, he would try the hard way but if all else failed he wasn't against blackmailing Grey into it. If he forced his hand, he would threaten him. He was going to get Grey one way or another.
So now the question was... what could he do?
-----------------------------------
It seemed that Meric was right. As soon as Yangs started pouring out of the gate, people starting yelling and screaming orders with people running left and right. It was chaos and soon the tent was full of people and the beds were filling up.
Many Yangs were carrying other Yangs on their backs and the ones who were placed on the bed were in terrible condition. Their skin was turning back and they weren't able to breath on their own.
"Get the antidotes and contact Jack for backup Yangs from the medical department who can detox poison", Falcon the team lead called as he walked into the tent to check on the others.
Grey looked around and then looked at Meric who smirked, "This is a medical issue not an energy one, they won't need you for purficiation."
Grey bit his lips and nodded and then watched as Falcon walked over to Meric after he called for him.
"What's the situation? Do I need to take Grey out of here?" Meric asked as he looked around at the chaos.
Falcon sighed and shook his head, "I've already called for backup and Jack said to keep Grey just in case. They are sending the medical team who can detoxify poisons."
"This is a F-rank gate. I'm seeing C and even some B ranks on the cots, what happened? This should have been a cakewalk."
Falcon grimaced and nodded and then looked at Grey and then back to Meric. "It seems that a group of them were fighting over who would get dibs on Grey first and they weren't paying attention and ended up completely surrounded. Usually those monsters are easy to manage since they aren't even huddled up and are fairly slow but because those idiots were all screaming, they attracted all the damn monsters in the area and ended up swarmed. It took a while for the rest of us to get to them since they were already poisoned and down for the count. "
"What a shitshow."
"Yea." Falcon sighed and then looked to Grey who was staring at him.
"I'm not blaming you. I just wasn't sure how you would take it."
Grey nodded and pursed his lips and then shrugged. "There is no reason for you to blame me in the first place, it wasn't my fault they are idiots and let their guard down in a gate. I don't even do that in real life let alone a gate. That's on them."
Falcon snorted a laugh and Meric chuckled and threw his arm over Grey's shoulder. "That's right. That's a good attitude to have. I swear, I'm liking you more and more. If only you were a higher rank."
"No thanks. I wouldn't even want that mess, don't jinx me."
"Wow first I heard that someone didn't want to be a higher rank."
"I have issues already at C rank, what makes you think I want more?"
"Ah" Both Yangs seemed to know what he meant so they understood. He was a unique C rank that would probably have to deal with many addicted Yangs and if he were higher rank the problems would only get worse.
"Yea, it seems fate was trying to look kindly on you, at least you are safe in that sense."
Grey barely held back a flinch but smiled at his words. Falcon looked at Grey and apologized.
"I'm sorry to say but Jack asked for you to stay. We have many in critical condition so the medical team will probably be put through the ringer so he asked that I have you purify them since we won't be able to do any match tests here and we need them to heal continuously until the others are fully detoxed. That poison is pretty strong for how weak the monster is. But don't worry, the majority of the Yangs will be C rank with maybe one or two Bs."
Grey just nodded, "I see. No problem."
"For now, stay here with Meric. We are actually setting up another tent next door for you since this place is filled with patients. I'll call you both over once we finish."
"Got it."
Falcon walked away and Grey looked to Meric. "Might as well sit down, all we can do is wait for the tent to be finished. Don't be nervous, I'll be here with you the whole time."
"Thanks"
"Of course, if you are, I can always hold you. You know, to help you calm down." Meric winked and smirked at Grey.
Grey smiled back, "Yea, I'll be sure to keep that in mind."
"Be sure that you do, beauty."
Just then Liz and Kit stuck their head into the tent and walked over, they were both covered in blue liquid.
"What the hell? Are you guys ok?" Grey stood from his chair and moved towards them in concern.
"What-Oh." Liz said and looked down at herself. "Ah, this is poison Yang blood. It turns blue. We were helping add breathing devices to them since the poison causes paralysis, you lose the ability to breath so we had to hold some down and many were injured from the monsters so we got a bit of blood on us but we are fine."
Grey sighed in relief and grabbed a towel from the table and poured a bottle of water over it, handing it to both of them.
"Thanks."
"Yea, thanks, Grey."
"What will you guys end up doing? From what I know, most aren't in need of purifying."
"Yea, the few who did have already gotten it and the rest of the Yins were sent back to the Association. They asked me to stay with you for company and since Kit is already matched with someone on the medical team she will be staying here too."
"How you holding up?" Kit asked as she dropped down on the ground in front of Grey and started wiping off the blood.
Liz sat down beside her and pulled some snacks from the tables behind her and handed them to Kit and Grey and waved it in front of Meric who shook his head.
"I'm fine. I haven't done anything since I've been here."
"I heard you'll be the one dealing with the medical team by yourself since they aren't able to do any match tests. They are seriously so stingy with the equipment. They also have the measure packs with the higher ranks. I know I get that privilege because I'm higher but I teach a lot of the lower and have many friends so it makes me upset that they don't make this available for you guys."
"That piece of equipment is worth triple the amount of a B rank. Five times more than a C rank... do you think they are going to take the chance on something happening to it? At least with A ranks they break even. B ranks are lucky they get to use it. They aren't going to let it be handled by anything less. That's just how the world works." Meric chimed in over his book.
"Doesn't mean I have to like it!" Liz stuck out her tongue and then smiled at Grey. "But yea, so basically they are putting it all on you. Since you match with them all, they are just going to throw you to the dogs. Sigh, but don't worry, I'll be with you!"
Grey chuckled and smiled softly, "Thanks Liz."
Liz grabbed her heart and squealed, "Ugh my heart! that smile, ugh my heart."
"Grey, cough, Falcon is calling." Meric said as he looked away and stood up.
"What? I didn't hear him." Grey said as he stood and looked confusion.
Meric snorted and pointed to himself, "What am I?"
"Ah, right. Super hearing. Got it."
Meric nodded and pulled Grey by the wrist out of the tent. Liz and Kit both stood and followed, like little ducks trailing behind the mother duck. Grey giggled and then glanced over Meric's shoulder and widened his eyes in shock. It was a metal shipping container. What the hell is this?
"What. Is. That?" Grey stopped and pointed at the container that had been outfitted as small little house. Just like one of those camping RVs but it was a shipping container. But it had everything.
Falcon jogged over when he saw Grey and scratched the back of his head. "We were setiing up when this arrived."
"Why is that here?" Meric asked in confusion.
"Ah this was sent by Yang Talen Kall. For Grey."
"What?" Grey stood with his mouth open in shock and then turned to Falcon, "You're saying this was sent by Talen, for me?"
Falcon nodded and looked at Meric who snorted in disbelief. "Well fuck me." was all he said as he walked around the contained and checked for anything suspicious.
"How does that make any sense. We are talking about the same Talen?" Grey asked Falcon, almost reaching forward to shake him.
"I only know one." Falcon said and shrugged.
"Tall, gorgeous, white hair, emerald eyes and a banging body?" Grey asking quickly.
Falcon frowned but nodded, "Yes, that is the one."
"Ha! How does that make sense! This is Talen we are talking about, make it make sense!"
"Calm down, Grey. Didn't you already know that he liked you? Isn't that why he is already on the watchlist?" Liz asked as she rubbed his back and smiled.
"Who cares who it's from, it's free and it's yours." Kit said and smirked widely. "Can I go inside it? I've always wanted to see what they look like."
Grey breathed out incredulous at the two of them and then waved his hand towards the container in defeat, "Go ahead."
Both the woman squealed in laughter and ran towards the container. Grey covered his face with his hands and tried not to cry. Why was this happening? Why weren't these guys fucking off?
Meric walked back over and laughed, "Damn, he's serious. I didn't believe it but I guess there is a reason he's being monitored. Now, I'm curious. Just what kind of skills do you have to make the most infamous playboy fall in love with you?"
Grey practically bristled, "We both know that's not what this is!"
"Really? Because as far as I know, he has never done anything like this for anyone since he has been here and that's 20 years or so now."
That was the thing about Yin and Yangs, because of their supernatural energy that gave them their abilities, once one awakened you began to age very slowly. So even though most of the Yangs that were high rank were all past 40 they barely looked out of their 20s. Like Jack and Julie who barely looked 30 and were already pushing close to 80 years old.
Grey sighed and shook his head, "Is there anything weird in there? Like some hidden cameras or something?"
Meric just smirked and shook his head, "Nah, nothing like that. But he did fill it full of goodies. You could survive anywhere with this."
"Yea, but what the fuck am I supposed to do with it after this?"
Meric laughed. "That's what you're worried about? Don't worry, Talen is paying for all of this so he'll pay for it to be stored and cared for when you aren't using it. Keep it. It's already bought and paid for and put under your name."
"That's not the issue. We both know this isn't free."
"Ah, well. Is that really such a bad thing? He's willing to do this shit, why not just let him? You don't even have to accept him. It's his choice, so it's on him. But... a call, well maybe that's too much but a quick text wouldn't hurt. Ya know? If you like it. If it were me, it would make me happy to know my gift was liked."
"Is he paying you?" Grey looked at Meric with narrowed eyes and glared at him. Meric shrugged and help up his hands in surrender.
"He didn't pay me and I'm not his advocate. I just know how it feels, I've had a similar experience. And denying me just made me more aggressive so... I'm saying this for you sake. He is S rank. Never forget that. We may come in pretty packages but the inside is rotting. If you think he won't cross lines, you clearly don't know the nature of Yangs. Once we want something, we will do anything to get it. Just... keep that in mind. You aren't a civilian anymore and you aren't dealing with people who think like normal people do."
Grey opened and closed his mouth a few times before shutting it. He looked down at his feet and sucked in a deep breath. Meric was right but the reason he wasn't panicking is because they couldn't actually touch him if he didn't want them too. Sure they could stalk him, but the moment they came within his field of awareness, he could drop them all like flies and he could walk away like it was nothing. But Meric didn't know that and honeslty Grey really should take this adivce more seriously.
It wasn't because he was worried they could hurt him or do something to him. He was worried about all the dumb and annoying shit he would have to deal with because these fuckers couldn't take rejection. Right. They were psychos and it seemed he had forgetten that they don't think logically. So believing Talen would be a normal playboy was wrong. There was nothing normal about him.
And Darren, haunting around him like some fucking ghost and messing with his shit, in what way was that normal? It wasn't! He hated Grey. Should have been thrilled to never cross paths and yet here he was following him to the Association and calling himself his fiancé. Grey smacked himself on the forehead for being such an idiot.
He couldn't treat either of these men with common sense. No. He had to treat them like wild cards that would go off script every chance they got so he couldn't be certain of his plans anymore and would have to take more care from now on. Well no matter. He refreshed his mind and gathered his resolve. He would deal with the consequences as they came to him.
Haaaaaaa
Once again he found himself praying to his friend, the creator of this story, and wished for him to trip and fall on his face in the real world. He pulled out his phone and looked toward Meric.
"Do you have his number?"
