Chapter Seventy-Three: Closed Door Sword Cultivation
Among the new outer door disciples, they are still divided into two factions: Liu Mingde and Lei Dong. At the end of May, news came out that the two were about to break through the middle stage of foundation building, but soon someone debunked the rumor. In the Sacred Sword Hall, breaking through from the initial stage to the intermediate stage in three years is considered a genius, how can Liu Mingde and Lei Dong possibly break through in less than half a year after just breaking through the initial stage?
Liangshan closed his doors for half a month and re-condensed the sword intent of the Wan Jian Tu, making his foundation even more solid before going to pay respects to Hao Zhenren.
After staying in Hao's hut for a while, Liangshan returned home, took a bundle and went straight to the Reflection Cliff.
It was originally called Si Xin Cliff 500 years ago, and it was used for the closed-door training of the disciples of the Holy Sword Hall.
You have to go through Chu wind first, then climb the mountain, walk for half a time, and reach the top of the cliff, then follow the rope down.
The rocks are mostly white, and the stones that have been flowed over by water are yellow or black, making them appear colorful and similar to Huangshan which Liangshan has visited before.
Fifty meters vertically down from the top of the cliff, more than 20 caves were carved out, with a total area of over 100 square meters. There are two rooms: a bedroom and a practice room. The practice room has stone carvings of the three pure Taoist saints, for disciples to worship morning and evening. Each cave has a water tank leading in, and there is no shortage of spring water. Visitors only need to bring dry food or fasting pills.
Hao said that 500 years ago, the Shengjian Hall was in a period of great prosperity, and even getting to the Thinking Heart Cliff for quiet meditation required an application, queuing up for half a year or a year before it could be arranged. After 500 years, under the influence of worldly trends, the Shengjian Hall's practice became increasingly indulgent, and the Thinking Heart Cliff gradually fell into disuse. Now people mostly practice in their own separate courtyards, with convenient food and clothing, evolving to the point where going to the Thinking Heart Cliff for ascetic sitting has become a punishment for errant disciples, hence it is also known as the Reflecting on Mistakes Cliff.
Liáng Shān took the initiative to go forward, no need for any formalities, just told the Guardian Cliff Child and said "follow the rope down".
Clouds and mist surrounded, the rock wall was quite slippery, but it wasn't a problem for Liangshan.
About forty or fifty meters down, two horizontal wooden planks were laid out to form a suspension ladder, with iron nails and hemp ropes hanging from them, one after another, leading to different caves.
Sitting on the cliff, facing south and north, watching the sunrise and sunset, the moon rising and falling. Liangshan chose a relatively clean cave in the middle of the mountain and drilled into it. Liangshan first washed his hands, then burned three incense sticks to pay respects to the Three Pure Ones. This is all according to rules.
After the ceremony, Liangshan recited "The Divine Secret of Entering the Mountain to Cultivate the Tao" three times.
The magic spell is a must-recite when entering the mountain for solo cultivation. In a broad sense, it informs the spirits and monsters in the mountains that I have come to cultivate the Tao, please do not disturb me and add more protection. In a narrow sense, it informs the living creatures in the mountains, insects, snakes, and mice, do not come to disturb me.
Liangshan finished his recitation and sat cross-legged on a meditation cushion in front of the Three Pure Ones. He began to recite the incantation taught by Hao Lao: "Inhale one breath through the nose, directly into the dantian; use spiritual power throughout the body, exhaling swiftly like the wind..."
After reciting it nine times, he pondered over its true meaning, and then Liangshan began to narrow his eyes and gaze at the distant red sun.
Half-closing the eyes, eyelids drooping down, eyelashes like a curtain, sunlight threads and threads like rainbow light entering the eyes. At night, facing the moon, it is also so. This is called nourishing the yang sword by day and nourishing the yin sword by night.
Rainbow light enters the eyes, turns around the whole body, is absorbed into the elixir field, and finally refined into sword energy. The sword energy is triggered, and the mouth opens to spit out air like spitting arrows. Further, the sword energy condenses into a sword body, opens the mouth to spit out, and kills people within hundreds of meters or thousands of miles depending on individual skills.
As the eyes gradually get used to it, they should be opened wide. Something unexpected may happen in between, such as the eyeball falling out of the eye socket. Don't worry, don't be frightened or startled. Hao Zhang has made arrangements for Liangshan.
Liáng Shān himself polished, opened his eyes and stared at the sun all the time. In the 21st century, no one does this, and their eyes will inevitably go blind, but cultivation cannot be measured by science or common sense.
It's all about condensing one's flying sword, using the light of the sun and moon to condense it into a sword aura, this is still acceptable, but condensing the sword aura into a physical sword body that can be released and destroy anything is just too difficult.
Solid, liquid and gaseous states, the gaseous state is the most loose, how can it be invincible? From a scientific point of view, it's fundamentally impossible.
Liangshan doesn't care about these things, believing in science can't practice this stuff. Liangshan opened his eyes and looked at the sun for an entire afternoon, tears streaming down.
At night, I open my eyes to gaze at the moon and feel a bit better. The dry fire energy accumulated from practicing during the day is also dissipated. It's like this: advancing with fire during the day, retreating with fire at night, as if repeatedly forging a sharp sword.
Thirty days later, a strand of sword energy began to appear in Liangshan's abdomen, suspended above the white bone lotus. This was the yang sword, nourished by sunlight; the yin sword, nourished by moonlight, would take much longer, at least three years. Liangshan's heart leapt with excitement - once both day and night swords were cultivated, their combination would be formidable.
However, this strand of sword energy cannot be released yet. The final blow "White Bone Sword" from Liangshan and Ci Xiong is a life-or-death explosion, after which no matter how hard they try to summon it again, it will not come out.
With this thread of sword energy, there is a foundation for the true White Bone Sword. What Liangshan needs to do now is to continue tempering this thread of sword energy and solidify it. In his remaining time, he should circulate his five internal organs, then open his mouth and spit out a hundred-meter strike, which would be considered a small achievement.
Liáng Shān first absorbed the sword energy into his kidneys, then carefully stored it in his liver, followed by his heart, spleen and stomach, and finally absorbed it into his lungs. This process requires extreme caution, as any carelessness could cause the sword energy to backfire and harm his own internal organs.
In short, it's the physical body's authentication link for the five elements of sword energy. Once authenticated, it's branded on one's mind and body, and the sword energy is released without harming oneself.
Liangshan started to warm up from the kidneys and slowly opened up. On this day, warming up to the spleen and stomach, only one last link was missing, when Liangshan suddenly heard a child on the cliff top shouting: "Liangshan Bo, Gongde Hall is announced!"
Liangshan was very annoyed. He had closed himself off for meditation and hated to be disturbed, but he had no choice but to get up. The Gongde Temple had summoned him, which meant there was a mission.
Liáng Shān came out of the cave, stepped on the wooden ladder that swayed in the wind, and quickly climbed up the cliff along the rope.
"Hurry! Elder Liang, the people at Gongde Hall are waiting for you!" The young monk said anxiously.
Liáng Shān didn't understand the situation and hastily went down the mountain. In less than half a watch, he rushed to Gōng Dé Hall.
"Here! Here!" Old Jin rushed out from a group of people who were ready to depart, complaining: "Liangshan Bo, why did you come so late? Everyone has been waiting for you."
"What am I waiting for?" Liang Shan saw Tuoba Qiurong and felt slightly relieved.
"This time, Yangming Shengzi personally chose you, didn't he inform you?" Jin Lao was shocked, then pulled Liangshan to a middle-aged scholar in white robes with an air of dignity, "Yangming Shengzi, this is Liangshan Bo."
Yangming Shengzi was talking to someone when he heard a sound, turned his head and glanced at Liangshan for a moment without saying anything, just nodded slightly, then said to the person beside him: "Let's go!" After that, he leaped into the air like a rainbow.
A man and a woman who were with Yang Ming Shengzi also rose into the air, swift as shooting stars, and in an instant the three people turned into three small black dots in mid-air.
If Liangshan didn't tie up his hair, he would have been driven by Yangming Saint Son to "anger his hair and rush to the crown".
"Wow!" someone exclaimed, and the rest of them looked up at the sky with a face full of envy.
"What are you looking at? The Holy Son has already set off, let's hurry up and follow!" a tall man in black clothes shouted loudly.
