Melody and I decided to spend a little more time working out since we had to get some hours logged and it wouldn't be very smart to push it off, regardless of how we feel. She stopped taking photos though.
After an hour or so, when we were both checking our phones and about to leave the gym, Silvia sent a message to our dungeon group chat. anyone have dinner pns?
"No?" Melody said out loud, looking over at me. I shook my head, and she replied in the group chat. Scarlet and I are free
Silvia's offer came immediately. amane and i are pnning to cook something today at 6:30. Care to join?
Huh. Mommy and daughter—uh, friends cooking together for their friends? "Sure, I guess?"
Melody nodded this time before replying. What are you cooking?
it's a surprise. Silvia replied. it *should* taste good.
Should taste good… my mind is too dirty. This totally isn't Silvia ordering Amane to cook for her so that she has an excuse to punish her right? You wouldn't share that dinner with… 50% simirly horny friends? I can't imagine they've been together long enough for that. They're just doing standard bonding over their shared love of cooking. Yeah. Sounds more like something Melody and I would do, not normal people.
While I was thinking, Fara and Elle, the other two members of our dungeon raiding team, replied that they could and couldn't go, respectively. Melody sent the final confirmation that we'd go.
Shortly into our walk back to our dorm Silvia asked if anyone had allergies to seafood along with an address. We all replied that we didn't have allergies, and that was that. Once we returned to our dorm, we checked the address sent by Silvia. Only ten minutes away, which meant we had some time to kill, not a ton though.
We ended up deciding to both take a quick shower, separately unfortunately, and then hung around being very productive on our phones until six-fifteen. After that, we loaded up and headed to the provided address.
You know, I don't think I've ever done this before. Going over to someone's house, or apartment or whatever, just for some dinner. Feels weird. I've had dinner with friends and whatever when we have a sleepover or go eat out and hang out, but never to a house for some dinner and nothing more.
My parents have taken me to their friends' houses before, but that feels very different. Very adult-y. I mean, I'm an adult, obviously. But there's a big difference between 18 and 50.
I guess this is a pretty normal thing for adult friends to do. I feel like we should bring a gift though. My parents always brought small gifts to their friends, at least whenever they brought me along. Either a dessert or chocote or wine maybe? We didn't have time to shop though so it's fine. Next time… I'm rich now anyway. I gotta find stuff to buy. Like wine. Maybe I should become a wine connoisseur? What other hobbies are expensive? Or maybe I go all in on figure collecting, just buy everything. Preorder everything. Or convince Melody to findom me? Then my money can all be hers… That doesn't really sound hot. I don't know. Seems meaningless, since she's rich already and… there's just no appeal for me, no reason for me to not relish the money. I guess I found myself a limit. No becoming broke.
The address Silvia sent us was a pretty big house. Nothing Melody scale, but rger than my family's and with more space between properties too. There was a wide driveway that expanded left to a three-car garage. Connecting to the right side of that driveway was a walkway that led up toward a wooden porch and the front door with an oval window in the center, although most of it was obscured by a row of bushes and a couple of trees in the yard, whose leaves were starting to show tints of yellow.
Melody pulled up into the driveway beside a car that was already sitting there, presumably Amane or Fara, or Silvia I guess. I don't know if she has a garage spot. Oh wait, Amane didn't have a car so she's out. Probably Fara. Doesn't matter anyway. The car was red and small. Once again, that's basically the extent of my car knowledge.
We climbed out of our car and walked along the concrete path, stepped onto the porch, and up to the front door, which was pulled open before we could ring the doorbell. Just inside, Silvia stood, dressed in the same panda shirt she wore on our first meeting. "Hi guys, Amane and Fara are setting the table."
Following a brief exchange of greetings, Silvia stepped to the side, letting us in, where we took off our shoes (since Silvia wasn't wearing hers) and pced them in front of a very occupied three-level shoe rack.
Silvia's entryway was fairly open. A wall lined the right, where the shoe rack was, but the left directly opened into a living space, and straight ahead was a staircase, blocking what looked like an open kitchen area to the left and some room of some sort for doing something to the right. All of the floors were very pretty. Some dark hardwood with lots of curvy lines. Pretty.
Silvia led us both to the kitchen area, located left of the staircase, where Amane and Fara were. Facing the kitchen space, our new left held the living room we saw moments ago from the entryway, and our right had a dining table with one other person sitting at it, a much older gentleman, presumably Silvia's father. He waved to us.
"That's my dad," Silvia said, then led us over to him. "We'll be eating dinner here. Feel free to sit wherever. Fara and Amane are bringing over ptes and utensils."
"Need any help?" Melody asked, but Silvia simply shook her head.
"After the ptes are set up, Amane and I will take care of everything."
Satisfied with her expnation, Melody and I both sat down on the table's sides. The table was a rectangur sb of wood, with Silvia's father sitting at the far head of it, which had a rge window behind it. In fact, the entire dining space had windows around it, essentially jutting out of the main house.
Once we sat down, Fara came over carrying a handful of forks and spoons, followed by Amane carrying a stack of six ptes which her hands were not able to wrap around, forcing her to lean them against her chest, which also made the ptes look comically rge against her small stature. She managed though, and soon the table was set, with the six of us seated around it.
Silvia sat opposite her father, at the other head, or butt I guess, of the table. Melody and I took the far half, surrounded by windows, Amane sat across from me, the side closest to Silvia, and Fara sat across from Melody.
I have to say, it's a little weird having Silvia's father here. Feels a little out of pce with five eighteen-, maybe nineteen-, year-olds. Then again, it's just dinner, it's not like he's hanging out with us. Or maybe Silvia and her dad are super close.
Silvia spoke up once we were all seated, pointing toward her father. "Everyone, this is my dad—"
"Hey squad, call me Wade," Silvia's dad interrupted. That's certainly an intro.
Silvia sighed, unamused, then pointed to each of us, saying our names. Once the intro sequence was done, Amane stood up, gncing toward Silvia. "I'll… bring out the first course."
Nodding, Silvia replied, "Shout if you need help."
Amane nodded and walked away toward the kitchen. Then, Silvia's dad decided it was time to converse. "How's the academy treating y'all?"
"It's great," Melody replied naturally, turning toward him. "Silvia's been an great addition to our team."
"Team, eh?" Wade chuckled, leaning forward in his seat and pcing his elbows on the table, eyes darting between all of us. "Raid any dungeons yet?"
My eyes immediately shot toward Silvia. Are her parents strict? Wade certainly hasn't been acting that way, but looks can be deceiving. I mean, Melody is literally an angel, but she can also act like a devil and completely destroy me in bed. Maybe Wade is the same? Not the destroying in bed part. The other part. Yeah.
"He already knows, doesn't give a shit," Silvia responded, groaning. "Why the hell are you even here? Mom's at the work dinner."
"I can't miss a chance to meet precious Silvi's friends." Wade smiled, eyes darting across all of us. "I noticed they're all girls, have you—"
"Shut the fuck up!" Silvia shouted abruptly, followed by a deep blush and a mumble. "We talked about this."
"Sorry, sorry," Wade chuckled, leaning back in his seat. "So how've the csses been? Y'all freshmen right? Different from high school?"
Silvia was still a blushing mess, but replied nonetheless. Maybe she's trying to take control of the conversation. "They're great. Way less studying."
Silvia feels a lot more open talking to her family. It's kinda cute. I wonder if Melody thinks the same of me. Or I wonder if she will once she inevitably meets my family, since I'm more open with them. I think. Maybe.
Before the conversation could continue, Amane came back somehow managing to bance four ptes, one in each hand and one on each arm, that were each carrying some sort of… sad sandwich thing?
