Both me and Frene are currently walking together.
"I'm serious you don't need to repay me for saving you, I happened to be there."
"Apapap, no more rejecting my offer, I say I will repay you so I will repay you, okay."
She then grabbed my hands and just dragged me along with her.
We walk for about half an hour, she brings me to the most shady looking streets. This pce is basically a slum.
Multiple scary looking people roam the street and homeless people, not long after that we finally arrive at what looks like a ramen shop.
"This pce sells the best ramen on this side of New Eden."
The shop looks old and decrepit.
Are there even people sane enough to eat here?
Walking inside the store gives me a shock and a half, there are a lot of people eating here.
Most of them look like criminals though, maybe because this shady looking area just attracts these kinds of people.
"Ah young dy, you are here again."
"Uncle Tony, long time no see, how long is it? 3 months? 4?"
"Try a year."
"It has been that long already?!"
Frene is talking to the Italian cooks, who I assume to be the owner of the ramen shop. They look close I wonder what their retionship is.
But it feels weird seeing an Italian man selling Japanese food.
"So Frene are you here for some jobs?"
"Ah no I'm here as a customer today. I want two bowls of ramen, make it the best that you can."
"Ah, sure thing. Two ramen is coming right up!!!"
I look at Frene that is just casually talking with the owner.
She looks quite comfortable around here, didn't she feel intimidated by the atmosphere around here.
I can sense almost everyone in the shop was looking at us.
But at the very least no one tries to mess with us.
"So Yu Jin, how long have you lived in this city?"
She began to ask me personal questions regarding my life.
"Well I've only lived in this city for a few days only, so I don't know much about pces like this."
Technically I'm not wrong, according to the novel Yu Jin just recently arrived at the city through the Heroes Academy schorship program.
"Ah no wonder you always look so mesmerized when we walk around the city, so it's your first time here."
Well I'm mesmerized but not because it's the first time I'm in the city. I'm mesmerized because I never thought I would be in New Eden, a city in my favorite novel. But I won't correct her, after all I don't know what will happen if I told her that this world is just a novel.
She might call a mental hospital to send me straight into the white room.
"So Frene, how long have you lived in the city?"
"I don't know, I have been here for as long as I can remember."
"So, you live with your family here?"
"No, I live in an orphanage located east of New Eden. And now I live by myself."
Ah shit I stepped on a ndmine!
"I'm sorry, that is insensitive of me to..."
"Don't worry about it, I'm not that angry, plus you're just curious about me. I'm not going to get angry just because you are curious."
Frene's hand then moved on top of my hand and slowly squeezed it, overwhelming me with her smooth silky hand.
She even smiles softly at me making my face burn bright red.
'Shit she is quite assertive, is she the one that tried to capture me instead of the other way around!!!'

[Frene's PoV]
Hand squeeze + smiling + beautiful girl = the man becoming smitten.
Yu Jin as the harem protagonist must never expect a frontal assault from a beautiful girl, he definitely won't be able to respond well with my direct attack.
If I have an affection meter like in the game, I think I'm at level 1 or maybe 2 with Yu Jin but I need to be careful so that I won't push him too far that he wants to start to exclusively date me.
I mean I don't care if he wants to as long as I can achieve my goal but if he doesn't want to go down the harem route it will only disrupt my years of pnning.
"Two ramen, for our little love birds here!!"
Yu Jin looks at the owner with a bright red face.
"No we're not like that we're just friends."
"Sure d, sure."
The owner then gives a wide grin to and slowly retreats back to the kitchen.
"By the way you seem close to the owner."
Yu Jin unable to think straight tries to change the subject. He was kind of cute when he tried to cover his shyness.
"Well he helped me from time to time after I left the orphanage. You know, odd-jobs here and there."
"Ah no wonder you look close."
—Plink!
Suddenly I heard notification coming from my phone.
I can feel my face involuntarily contorted as I read the message that comes in.
"I'm sorry Yu Jin I need to head out first, my manager called in for today's shift. Don't worry I'll pay for the ramen just enjoy it okay."
"Ah, okay."
I quickly grab my bag and leave the ramen shop and Yu Jin just sits there unable to process my sudden departure.

"SHIT!!! KILL THE BASTARD ALREADY!!!"
Multiple people point their guns towards the dark corridor.
The loud sound of gunshots rang in the building, bullets flying all over the pce leaving no room to hide.
After no one retaliated to their shots, the guards lowered their guard down a bit when suddenly, something slowly came rolling toward their location.
—Fsh!!!
"AH!!! MY EYES FU..."
—TA!!!
The guards' leader head was blown to pieces leaving only brain matters on his subordinate's face.
—TA!!!TA!!!TATA!!!TA!!!
One by one, all of the guards' heads exploded creating chaos amongst those that still survive.
After 3 full minutes of continuous gunshots, only one guard remained alive standing, shaking as his pants were wet, waiting for the assaint coming out of the shadow.
—Thud...Thud...Thud
Out from the shadow the assaint presents himself.
Wearing a bck hoodie with military gear, bck mask and assault rifle with suppressor.
"P...please... don't ki—"
—TA!!!

Loud gunshots rang and followed by eerie silence making the man inside the room tremble in fear.
The man covered his mouth tried to make as little sound as possible, waiting for the killer to pass.
Thudding sounds of boot walking slowly in the corridor causing the man to sweat.
He raised his handgun towards the door waiting for the person on the other side to open it.
The sound of the doorknob slowly turned and clicked, quickly sending the man into a frenzy.
He quickly unloaded the bullets in his gun towards the door.
—BANG! BANG! BANG!
One after another bullet flew towards the door, covering it with a dozen bullet holes.
Then silence lingers in the room.
—Clunk!!!
A sound of something being thrown into the room startled the man.
—Fsh!!!
An explosive sound and fsh of bright light causing the man to be disoriented.
—Bang!!!
The loud sound of the door smmed open, panicking the man as he was still unable to see his attacker clearly.
Then suddenly a hot stream of liquid can feel running down from his neck to his body and after a few seconds he realizes he's unable to take a breath...
His body falls limp to the ground and in his st moment he can see the man in bck hood and mask standing, watching him bleed.

"Good work on taking out that gang. With this any possible threat for the future has been eliminated."
A blonde haired man is currently sitting on a luxurious leather seat. With a well built body and a face that can make any girl smitten in one look, he looks down on the masked assassin as he bows down.
The assassin just silently listens to the blonde man.
"Don't you feel stuffy in those clothes?"
The blonde man asks him but the assassin just continues to bow down in silence.
The man irritated by the assassin silent response then snap his finger and the muscle bound bodyguards at his side nod.
One of the guards grabs the assassin hood, revealing a long gray ashen hair with a pair of cat ears that is twisted downside, while the other pulls her mask off unveiling the beautiful young girl face with a pair of golden eyes furrowed showing her displeasure.
"Frene I think you are forgetting something here."
"UNGHHH!!!"
Frene drop down on the floor clutching her head as the man mercilessly kick her stomach multiple times.
As Frene ying there enduring the pain, the man grabbed her hair pulling her up.
"Don't forget, we owned you. I owned you. You are a sve and I'm your master, if I see you scowl at me again I will hurt you so much, you'll beg me to kill you. Did you understand?"
"...Yes Manager."
"Good..."
The Manager release Frene's hair and his hand slowly tracing her face.
"As long as you proves that you are useful for me on the field, I will take care of you."
His hand slowly moves to her jacket's zipper and pulled it down revealing her chest tightly tied up by Sarashi.
"Tch!!!"
The Manager click his tounge and stand up, he signal his bodyguard.
The guard then throw a bck duffel bag.
"A little gift for your trouble. Well aren't I such a generous master."
Frene just kneel there silently and just look at the ground as she pull back her zipper.
The Manager just silently watch and kick her in the face.
"I didn't hear any thank you."
"...Thank you, Manager."
"There, it's not that hard. Remember Frene, as long as you are useful, I will take care of you. And if you not, I will teach you how to take care of me."
The Manager walks out of the abandoned building with his bodyguards, leaving Frene alone with the bag filled with money.
