"That seems fair." Bai Cangfeng agreed, now with Level 5 spell he can fight more fiercely.

We enter the next chamber. There was no coffin in the chamber but a giant hole.
"Holy crap, it's Scorpion Lord Medusa." Bai Cangfeng cursed his luck.
Medusa triangular eyes glittered and a ray swept over both of us. But it didn't do anything.
Bai Cangfeng have surprised expression but Scorpion Lord Medusa is almost in trauma. It again use 'Petrification' but nothing happened. It used 'Curse' and 'Psychic' magic but everything was in vain.
"What is happening?" Bai Cangfeng finally overcome it's fear and asked.
"Tears of Medusa, it has many effects other than wearing off the curse." Chen Xiao replied.
BOOOM! Medusa understood it has to use brute force now.

"I'm starting to pity those monsters who will be facing you." Bai Cangfeng said, Medusa's cries of agony shook him to his core. Only now he realise, how much of a gap there is between them? This was Bai Cangfeng's first time seeing Chen Xiao fighting a monarch.
"Here, it might help you breakthrough of your Curse Element." Chen Xiao went inside the Medusa's burrow and brought out a red crytals emitting dark energy.
"Thanks, it will really help in breakthrough." Bai Cangfeng said as he felt the dark energy of the crystal. It must be Medusa's treasure.
"According to algorithm, we should go through that passage." Bai Cangfeng said while looking at the computers calculation.
"Ok let's go" Chen Xiao and Bai Cangfeng went to the passage.

"I want to leave this cursed place this instant. We almost died back there." Jiang ShaoXu complaint. She wanted a thrill but she her life was more precious than adrenaline rush.
"Holy fuck, a Medusa. Everybody run." Zhao Manyan alerted everyone.
"Wait" Heidi demanded.
"Wait for what? death?" Zhao Manyan cursed.
"It's dead." Heidi revealed.
Everybody turn back from the passage after hearing her words.
"Are you sure?" Mo Fan asked
"Yes" Heidi confirmed.
"It's really dead. How dare you scaring the crap out of me? you bitch! you insect!" Zhao Manyan start cursing dead Medusa and start kicking the corpse.
"What could have killed it?" Mu Bai pondered.
"I must be Sir Chen Xiao. Other than him who could. You might think you are strong but you are nothing compared to Sir Chen Xiao. I say, we find him and tag along with him. We will be safe that way." Sayed said while degrading Mo Fan.
"How can you be so sure it's him?" Heidi asked.
"Can't you see that, Medusa's Hair-cum-Snakes are ripped off and it's beheaded. Sir Chen Xiao similarly killed a Medusa which was attacking Cairo." Sayed explained.
"This is Scorpion Lord Medusa which a Great Monarch. I don't understand how did he become so strong. By defeating a Great Monarch he has shown that he is above most of the Veteran Super Tier mages. Whose experience is more than his own age. Say Jiang ShaoXu, are you still interested in him?" Heidi asked.

"Fine, if we meet them. We will tag along." Mo Fan said helplessly.
"We should go through that passage. If we want to meet them." Shreev pointed.
Everyone went through passage and entered an empty chamber.
"Seems like Chen Xiao also cleared this chamber. We are in luck." Zhao Manyan said.
"Chen Xiao is going in right direction. After clearing next chamber he will be able to open the gate." Shreev said.
"That passage." Shreev pointed.
Everyone entered the passage.
"Wait" Sayed called out.
"What happened now?" Meos asked in annoyance.
"There are a lot of crosses on the floor." Sayed said.
"These are recently carved." Meos said.
"What could this mean?" Zhao Manyan asked.
"Is Chen Xiao warning us about the thing in next chamber?" Mu Bai guessed.

Everyone run into the passage.
"Pant... pant... good thing Sayed saw those crosses otherwise we would have died for sure." Heidi said while panting.
"We have to go through a long route now. I wonder which way would they have gone." Shreev said.

"Finally a Monarch Soul Essence." Chen Xiao cheered after getting a soul essence.
"This mummy was stronger than the last one. I hope we don't face anything like that Golden Eagle again." Bai Cangfeng said.
"Don't worry about that, that golden eagle is most likely guardian of armoury. So, we will not be facing something like that again." Chen Xiao assured.
"Really? we were so close to the treasure." Bai Cangfeng said in disappointment.
"Let's go, my Chaos Element is very close to reaching Level 2, I think I will be able to defeat golden eagle after that. Until then we should explore other chambers and see if we find other treasures." Chen Xiao said.
"Then I assume your Lightning Element is already at Level 2." Bai Cangfeng said.
"Yes" Chen Xiao confirmed.
"Are you even human?" Bai Cangfeng finally asked.
"Yes I'm human and you shouldn't be the one asking me as you yourself will be breaking through soon and other will be asking you the same question." Chen Xiao replied.
