Thank you for reading Last Lord of the Fey!
This series is going to be published; Audiobook by Tantor, Ebook/Kindle/Print by Mango Media! Hopefully, 2026 if all goes according to plan (though this is by no means a guarantee).
Now . . . for a little heart to heart.
I'm a full-time English teacher, and I want to make full time writing into a career. That would be possible if Last Lord of the Fey was making good money on Patreon . . . but its not (you can just look at my Patreon page and see what I'm making). I need to put more "irons in the fire" until either one ignites on Patreon, or I build more revenue streams by producing more content that goes to publication.
To that end, I am PAUSING Last Lord of the Fey. I say paused, because I could keep going, but Book 4 is also a good pausing point.
I want to wait until Book 1 launches on Amazon/Audiobook and see how it performs. If Book 1 does well, then I will continue to write LLOTF. If it doesn't do so well, then I will need to leave it at Book 4.
I hope you understand. It was not easy coming to this decision, and it took lots of discussions with my agent and other authors I view as my betters (and more experienced in this genre space) to come to this decision.
But, if I want to full-time write, I need commercial successes. LLOTF hasn't proven itself a commercial success on Patreon. It needs to prove itself on Amazon/Audiobook to warrant the investment of time to keep it going. If it doesn't generate revenue, then I need to work on something that will generate money. It's just the reality of trying to be a full time writer.
Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.
I apologize if this disappoints you. I love the story, the world, the magic system, the characters - and I know you do, too . . . but I am also a realist. I'd rather bring a series to a good, satisfying, temporary conclusion and leave the door open to continue than keep working on a project that can't help me meet my goals.
Thank you so much for reading and enjoying Tristan's adventures thus far. He has almost unsealed all of the Fey Realm. He has avenged his mother's death. He has eaten quite a few tasty dragons. And, as is most important in Progression Fantasy, he has grown in power (just look at how easily he dealt with some of these dragons here in Book 4!).
Keep your eyes open for the STUB notice for when this does go to Amazon, which will also be accompanied by a separate chapter drop announcement. But, in the meantime, I will mark it as COMPLETED, as it is in a completed status that may see more additions if it does well on Amazon. Make sure when it does come out, and you see that announcement, you head on over and read / listen to it! You'll be getting the fully edited, upgraded, and polished version. I promise it's worth the experience (seriously, the editor does work on traditional publishing fantasy series you could find in Barnes and Nobles. The finished products are absolutely phenomenal, and I've learned a ton from her coaching).
Make sure you leave a Rating, Review, or Advanced Review! If you want to stay updated when my next fiction drops, make sure you follow my , or follow my to get all the updates!
I have a new fiction coming out next year in early 2026 called Blackflame Mage, so you have that to look forward to in the more immediate future.
Anyhow; enjoy all that I write, I love you all for reading my work, and I wish you the best.
Regards and blessings,
SerasStreams (Alex Econome, M.Ed.)
