  Dedications-

I have many so bear with me. First and foremost this goes out to my younger self. My first piece of writing was in grade four about a toothpick that wore a magical napkin bringing it to life and turned into a super hero that could fly and fight the crimes of the kitchen. Cheesy I know but I was a kid with imagination. To the few friends I told about this little hobby that is turning into something more. Thanks for not judging me. This is for you guys too! To my Artist that created the cover art, you kick ass! Thank you for bringing Rūkasu to life! To my Editor….. Hodor! Need I say more? To my mother who kept my imagination running free as a child and pushing me more and more to write this book. Mahal kita Nanay.

I also dedicate this book to my children K and V. Stay bright, you two. Never let the world take away your imagination like it took daddy’s for a time. I love you both so much. Watching you grow is the greatest honor I have received. Most importantly I dedicate this to my rock, my stars and moon, the one who will forever be my always. I love you E. You’re still the best Christmas present I have ever gotten. Well if you have made it this far I guess that I also dedicate this to the reader who decided to give this book a read. I hope this captivates your imagination in all of the best ways. Welcome to the Combatant Operating system! ~Aurocrast

  * This is a work of fiction that uses historical figures and altered events of the past.

"It was said long ago that a bargain was struck between the human clans and the god, Bishamon. The Great Deity, sick of the endless conflict no longer wished to protect the Warriors of the Warring States, instead crafted seven magical items, giving one to each of the major clans saving two only for himself being his sword, which could fell all adversaries in his wake with any way of his choosing. Then there was  The Rosary Shrouded in Mystery. It was an item that he knew possessed something truly powerful.

Upon the creation of these relics Bishamon claimed that the true powers of these relics would be untapped until the true owner held them. Only then would the sole owner of each relic reach Elysium. With the relics released into the world the War God vanished from the mortal plane. Among the other five items were a pair of short blades with the power of Fire, a sword that gave one the power over lightning, a yari (spear) that when held gave the power of flight (this is to be believed to have the power of wind), a peculiar twin bladed weapon that one drunkard claimed could "tear into the void" and the final relic is a mystery for no known clan was ever recorded to have received it.

Could it be that it is more powerful than all the other items? I MUST find this for mi'lord!

In the feudal era of Japan, the death and turmoil of the warring states has finally drawn to a close. Lord Nobunaga Oda has conquered the warring clans and thus unified Japan under one Banner.

"It was understood among the clans that Lord Oda had died at Honnō-Ji temple in Kyoto but mi'lord had crafted this ruse to take the clans by surprise in an ambush! This was most clever indeed! Though unification of the clans is troublesome... THOSE relics were lost and I fear that one day they will return to destroy the Oda clan and destroy everything mi'lord has built. He has the one bestowed upon him but the others have been lost... something i will have to look into post haste...
