Chapter 17: Lilia

  Chapter Seventeen: Lilia

When Tyson ate the second fish, Leah came. She was the daughter of the village head in a nearby village, an open and beautiful girl. Because she is two years older than me, she often calls herself my sister in front of me. Her greatest hobby is to quietly come to my back when I am thinking deeply, shout loudly, wake me up, and then laugh recklessly.

Today was no exception, just as I was intently flipping a large fish with the tongs in my hand, she appeared silently behind me like a cat and swiftly slapped my shoulder with her "magic claw". I had already sensed it coming and didn't dodge her attack because I knew that if I didn't let her hit me, she would relentlessly pursue me until she got what she wanted. So I pretended to be startled and even added a dramatic cry: "Ah! You scared the living daylights out of me! People can die from being scared!"

But today, he didn't seem to be in the mood, and his words didn't have any shocking effect at all. Instead, he looked a bit lethargic. This made her sit down next to me with an unhappy expression, muttering: "Not interesting at all, can't you pretend a little to make me happy?"

I handed her a roasted fish: "No mood, huh? Ask Tyson brother, Ms. Ankara is about to test me, and I'm still fishing and roasting for you guys. I said it first, if the exam doesn't go well, you guys have to compensate me."

Upon hearing my words, Tyson's face was expressionless, only revealing a hint of mockery in the glance he cast towards me.

"What's the big deal about this exam, if you can't pass it then so be it? Is your teacher going to eat you up?" Lilia said carelessly, munching on the roasted fish in her hand, while using her oily fingers to vigorously rub my hair, messing up the carefully combed hairstyle I had.

Seeing me in a sorry state, Tyson's mouth corners curled up into a smile, and his gaze towards Lila had an unexpectedly gentle look to it.

Could it be that Teison big brother has taken a liking to this careless and nonchalant girl? Speaking of which, I only got to know Lilia because Teison big brother brought her over. Ever since Teison big brother first tasted my roasted fish, there was one time when I was roasting fish by the stream, and the two of them appeared before me together. Teison didn't say anything, just simply introduced her as Lilia, the daughter of the village chief from a nearby village. Lilia is a straightforward person, and quickly became familiar with me, but to be honest, that time was actually a painful memory. The two of them swept away my roasted fish in one go, left satisfied and burping, leaving me without even a fish tail, making all my efforts for nothing, it's really frustrating.

It just makes me curious that it seems like there's no ambiguity in the relationship between the two people, and normally Lilia gets along with me better. When the three of us are together, Lilia always only talks to me, and doesn't really interact with Tissen. So how did they meet? Why do they often appear together? What is their relationship?

I used to be very curious about what I could get out of Tyson, but he always shut me down with one sentence: "Mind your own business!", however, the more I thought about it, the more curious I became, so I decided that when I got the chance, I would definitely ask Leah.

"I'm leaving, Lila, want me to take you back?" Tyson stood up and was ready to leave.

Lia, with a mouthful of oil, was intently struggling with the roasted fish. Upon hearing Tyson's words, she somewhat impatiently waved her hand and said vaguely: "You go first, you go first, I'm not a kid anymore, I can find my way back home."

Tison hesitated for a moment, said "go home early", and turned to walk towards the law master's tower. After Tison walked far away, Lila finally let out a hum from her nose and said: "This guy is good in every way, but he's just a bit hesitant, wants to chase me, but has my sister's shadow in his heart, neither left nor right, no decisiveness at all, annoying to death."

"Oh? Really? Come on, tell me, what's going on?" Lila's words piqued my curiosity, and I took the opportunity to pry into the secrets of the taciturn Tyson, satisfying my own gossip-loving heart.

Lia put down the roasted fish that had only bones left, sucked her fingers and stood up, proudly puffed out her already large chest towards me, gave me a big charming smile, showing her snow-white teeth, then said: "Alik, what do you think of my figure? Am I pretty?"

I was momentarily dizzy and felt my blood rushing up, as if I was about to get a nosebleed. I quickly shifted my gaze from Lila's high chest to the delicious roasted fish in my hand, opened my mouth wide, and took a big bite of the fish. The flavor of the fish hadn't even had time to register before a sharp fishbone pierced my lip, causing me such pain that I was momentarily speechless.

Seeing that I hadn't spoken for half a day, Lila discontentedly walked up and patted my shoulder, saying: "You'd better say something! You men must have similar feelings when looking at women, right?"

I didn't look up at her, just smiled wryly and said: "Who dares to say that Sister Lilia is not beautiful? I'm the first one who won't agree. Please don't always do things that catch me off guard next time."

Lia smiled at me with a hint of triumph and sat down beside me again after hearing my answer.

"Actually, I quite like both of you. If you two were to pursue me together, which one should I choose?" Lilia said, pausing for a moment before thinking seriously and saying: "Actually, I like you a bit more. Tyson is just a blockhead, not saying a word all day long, it's infuriating to look at him. I know he likes me, but he doesn't dare say anything to me, unlike you, who are so open and easy to get close to. If I were to marry you in the future, I could eat your roasted fish every day, haha, your cooking skills really aren't bad!"

I was feeling a bit smug when Lila said she liked me, but her last sentence almost made me spit out the roasted fish I was chewing on - it turned out she only liked my roasted fish. I wiped the sweat from my forehead with my sleeve and forced myself to swallow the nearly wasted fish meat. Looking at Lila, who was being very serious, I said: "Although you're beautiful, sis, you are after all someone I call sister, so maybe, possibly, probably, I should want to find a girl who's a bit younger than me as my wife - sibling romance might not be suitable for someone like me. So, I think Tyson would make a more suitable boyfriend for you, don't you think?"

Lia heard my words and didn't have much of a reaction, just lazily using a branch to poke at the bonfire, saying somewhat despondently: "Well, I guess I won't have the chance to eat such delicious roasted fish again in the future?"

"Of course!" I said with disdain in my heart. But what came out of my mouth was: "Don't worry, Lilia sister, I'll definitely teach Tissen brother the technique of roasting fish, so you can have the chance to eat delicious roasted fish every day. I think Tissen brother will be very willing to learn." As I said this, I suddenly changed the subject and asked Lilia with a flattering tone: "So, Lilia sister, can you tell me about the story between you, your sister, and Tissen brother?"

"Alright, since you're being so obedient, I'll tell you, but you have to keep it a secret." Lilia thought for a moment and nodded.
