Behind Leah was a blackboard, just like the one in Edmund’s classroom. She positioned herself to the side. The room got darker, and with a tablet in her hand, the blackboard became white.
‘The first one is the prototype of the A-M2, our groundbreaking new rifle. Utilizing the power of blue crystals, we've achieved a remarkable 15 shots per magazine.’ Leah's voice carried the weight of this innovative achievement.
‘Good, double the ammunition.’ Alon smiled.
‘That is not the only thing; it doesn’t need the bolt action mechanism; it has three modes, such as single shot, bursts of three shots, and automatic, that will continue to fire as long as the finger is on the trigger, like this example.’ Leah pressed her tablet.
Images of one of Leah’s team members shooting with the prototype in the three modes against different materials appeared on the board. Alon's eyes shone, seeing all of it. The other merchants were shocked, seeing the materials pierced like nothing. Their jaws came wide open when the automatic function was shown. Ariadne looked to the sides for a moment and had a quick laugh.
‘The next one will use tracks to move because the levitating magic used on the trucks couldn’t hold that much weight for the armor and deal with the weapon's power on top of it.’ Leah pressed her tablet again.
It showed two tracks, a metal rectangle, and what looked like a cannon with a turret on top. They knew it was a turret because it was moving in a complete circle. Nobody there watching understood what was happening or the purpose of such a thing.
‘By your faces, I think you are all confused, but this weapon will assist infantry, so watch the first test of the main cannon.’ Leah pressed her tablet another time.
Images showed the turret alone on top of a metal support; when it shot against a wall, it ?pierced through it. It was a white beam, a close match to one creature from inside the dungeon, which made Alon widen his eyes. It baffled the other merchants.
‘Edmund helped us with the magic behind it; it can also have variations already launched by the rail cannon, but with a higher power. We are still in the early prototype phase, and this image was the first time it didn’t just explode.’ Leah shrugged her shoulders.
Ariadne quickly laughed. Alon was curious and thought about how they would use this vehicle, but to him, the weapon on top of it was just too strong and made little sense of what they had already fought against.
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
‘Those things inside the dungeon could already be dealt with using the weapons we already have. Why create something like this? But I don't understand the part about supporting the infantry.’ Alon frowned.
‘All the things we are showing or will show are Edmund’s original designs; these are his creations. He said we need this for the future, and all the things we develop for these will also be used in other everyday uses.’ Leah's tone was filled with respect for Edmund's contributions.
‘Edmund is the mastermind behind these designs. He has been instrumental in the development of these prototypes. We are merely executing his vision and bringing his designs to life.’ Leah clarified, addressing Ariadne's concern.
Edna took a black fan out of a bag, put it in Ariadne’s hand, and walked two steps behind her. Leah messed with her tablet a little, and drawings appeared on the board.
‘These are the original drawings that Edmund did while he was on the Royal Smith at the capital of Velvent. They are not the same as the ones we will show you, and others we don’t even know or understand what they are.’ Leah looked at Ariadne.
‘I understand; continue with your presentation. Good work until now.’ Ariadne started to fan herself.
‘Thanks, Your Highness; next is our flying vehicle, a project that holds great promise. It's currently in the early testing phases, and Alya Malkah, our brave test pilot, is leading the way.’ Leah's gaze was filled with hope as she looked at the board on the wall.
Images of a rectangular box with a place at the front showed Alya waving from it to the sides. Four triangular-shaped metal sheets were pressed downwards, spherical devices spinning in the middle. The box rose off the ground and eventually reached above the trees.
‘This flying vehicle, while it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing at this stage, serves a crucial purpose. It is designed for troop transport and air support, as well as for vehicle transport. Its unique design allows for versatile use in various military operations.’ Leah explained, tapping her tablet to show the final design.
The drawings of the final design didn’t differ too much from what they saw in the images, but it was better with wide doors on each side of it and something like a weapon on the front below the pilot and one on each side, only Alon noticed this because of how similar it is to the weapon that is on top of the trucks they use now.
‘We have a clear roadmap for the future. While these prototypes are our current focus, we have other innovative designs in the pipeline. It will take some time for them to be ready, but Lieutenant Colonel Alon will keep you informed of our progress every step of the way.’ Leah assured, bowing to Ariadne.
The room's lights lit up, and the team on the other side bowed to Ariadne, who got up, walked to them, and shook their hands. Right after, they continued. When they got out of the factory, they were in and walked towards each other. A strange vehicle stopped in front of the building they were walking towards. Right next to it, the two representatives of the companies got between the group and the vehicle.
‘As a token of gratitude from our companies, we give our Goddess a humble gift, a unique way of transportation suitable for a God?.’ The Socher company representative stepped to the side and bowed.
The vehicle wasn’t as large as the truck, but it wasn’t small; it had four doors with two on each side, and the back could be opened. All were shown to Ariadne by the representatives, and they explained that this model was going to be exclusive for her as the other made for civilian usage was going to be smaller; inside, there was one place for the driver on the front with another set to his side, the back was spacious with sits facing one another just like a carriage and a shield that could be raised if needed more privacy, all leather with plenty of space for Ariadne to ride in it.
‘Well, this is amazing; thanks for the gift, and I hope everyone can have something similar in the future.’ Ariadne smiled at the representatives.
‘We don’t deserve such words.’ The two spoke at the same time.
‘Hum, that was funny.’ She laughed.
