Ok, so, for some reason I felt the need to map out what the group's area looks like. So now this exists. Someday I might draw out the whole ship, who knows...

  The black and grey lines are walls. The orange lines are doors.

  The dark blue are all counters. They have cupboards and drawers and all that good stuff in them. The lighter blue rectangles are sinks. The random blue square is the fridge. ...I just realized I forgot to put where the stove/oven is; it's in the middle of the counter against the back wall.

  The red is furniture. The nicely done red furniture is furniture that has been that way since they arrived. (No, Peter hasn't changed anything for like three months.) The quickly-drawn-on red furniture is things they've bought or moved to be where it is now. (Good luck figuring it out, altho I will say the Xs are hat stands.)
