The Beginning?
Dear Diary? I don’t really know what to start with, but this shall be my first entry in my diary.
Well, to begin with, I shall share some of my information.
My name is Deilos, and I’m seventeen. I am a male with blonde hair and green eyes. I am average height.
My friends, who are the same age as me, often describe me as meek or having a weak stomach. I think it’s because of that one time we found a nearly rotting rat behind a shelf, and I ended up throwing up. The smell was absolutely foul—of course I couldn’t hold it in. I’m not sure why they didn’t react the same way. They claimed the smell was oddly sweet. Maybe I just have a more sensitive nose.
My ears are a bit unusual—they’re slightly pointier and curve more than other people’s. To be honest, I’ve always hated them because, when I was a kid, others used to make fun of them. But in a way, I’m also thankful for them, as they’ve helped me see who I can truly trust.
My father once said it was a birth defect because my mother was frail. I never met her, so I can’t confirm that. Father told me she died after I was born.
I remember once asking my father about her. His expression darkened, his jaw tightened, and he looked away. He sat in silence, and the pain in his eyes was unmistakable.
After seeing that, I stopped asking about her.
My father is a farmer, and I often think of him as a boring man. He doesn’t like doing what others might consider ‘manly’ things—hunting, monster hunting, even butchering. He stays away from weapons, even knives! That’s why he always buys prepared food from a nearby restaurant or food stall whenever he wants to eat meat.
My father’s name is Vlakas.
Anyways, I have four people whom I can call my best of friends; these are the people whom I trust my life with.
Hank and Daelan are both loud and rowdy. Hank’s built like a bear, with a muscular body that can take quite a beating in a fight. Daelan’s fit, fast, and can land some serious blows on his enemies. Also, both are total perverts who always talk about ramming one in. For the record, they’re both virgins, just like me.
Then there’s Haley and Marge. Marge is the one who keeps the three of us in line. She’s like a sentry, always maintaining order. If we do something stupid, she’ll chew us out until evening. Haley, on the other hand, is sweet and quiet. She has this gentle way of showing she cares, like handing us snacks every now and then. Now that I think about it, she’s kind of a glutton—always carrying snacks with her.

Also, both have a petite body, which also means flat as a board. So the three of us guys have no attraction whatsoever to those two, as we all agreed in Oppai is truth.
Our friendship started off pretty weird when we were just little kids. Hank and Daelan would tease me a lot because of my ears, and eventually, the other kids joined in. But when they started getting more physical, like pinching my ears forcefully and actually hurting me, both of them fought the other kids and told them to stop.
That’s when I really saw them as genuine friends, even though they still tease me. Eventually, two families moved into our village, and that’s when we met Haley and Marge.
Marge confronted the two—Hank and Daelan—who were playfully teasing me, while Haley hid behind Marge. Hank and Daelan didn’t pay much attention to Marge and kept on teasing me. That’s when Marge snapped. She fought the two of them and, to everyone’s surprise, won.
Haley and I watched the fight unfold, completely engrossed. At one point, Haley even handed me a biscuit, her eyes never leaving the action. We sat there, munching quietly, as the scene played out in front of us.
That is how our friendship started.
Now as to why I am writing this. My father said that if I wanted to become an adventurer with them, I needed to write a diary, no matter what. It was a long time ago, but I couldn’t write back then, so I had to learn how to write before I could start writing this.
My father teaches me the writing while me and my friends train our skills.
Our party is made up like this: Daelan is our damage dealer, Hank is our tank, Marge is our mage, Haley is our support, and I’m the scout.
Daelan and Hank role was much expected because of how they are, but Marge and Haley were a bit surprising. The three of us didn’t even know that Marge and Haley have the capability to use magic until they just nonchalantly showed their ability to the three of us, leaving us completely shocked by the revelation.
Anyway, the reason as to why we wanted to become adventurers is because of the stories retired adventurers share with us. The village may be small, but the numbers of retired adventurers are quite high.
Stories such as their heroic tale of saving an entire village against a monster stampede are where multiple monsters would go in one direction or something like that. A story of finding riches deep inside the dungeon, and many more.
Those stories filled us with the determination to be adventurers ourselves.
Even though my father says those stories are all fake and was completely against the idea from the start, he eventually gave in because I kept pestering him about it. But he made me promise to follow his condition that I have to write this diary.
That is all what I can think of for what to write. I probably won’t be writing as much as I am still new, or perhaps, should I say, I have no passion for writing. But I shall write down interesting events or something like that.
End.
