He roughly told the story of how Fangfei saved him, and Gu Qinghe suddenly felt that this matter had a promising lead: "Zhaoge, that girl saving you has nothing to do with virgin blood, that's just nonsense. I think the most likely possibility is that she pulled you out of that world in that way, or rather her actions stimulated you to walk out of that world yourself. With external stimulation, this possibility is very large." He looked at Dr. Andrew and said: "Considering their illness as a mental disorder, will there be any gains?"
"It's entirely possible." Andrew said, holding Yuan Xiaobai's EEG: "Miss Yuan's current brain activity is extremely distant, indicating that her spiritual world is not as calm as her body. Mr. Cha, we will continue to observe her situation and stay in Shanghai for the time being."
Zha Wenbin bid farewell to them and set off on his journey back home, where he had other things waiting for him. The harvest from this trip was undoubtedly huge. Mr. Gu talked about science, but Zha Wenbin thought that the ancestors' words were not all superstition. Our understanding of the universe began to be explored thousands of years ago. Mr. Gu said one thing correctly: modern science has only developed for a few hundred years, and it's possible that our ancestors had already thought of or achieved something?
If it's true as Gu Lao inferred, that Pangzi and Ye Qiu have entered a state of negative space, resulting in instant movement, then there must be some kind of power governing the existence of this space. As long as we find the source of this power, there is hope to resolve Xiaobai's doubts.
Back home, a small meeting of four people was held at Wulipu, and Comrade Xia Qiushi was also pulled into the meeting. Cha Wenbin seriously reported his experiences in Shanghai to several people, and when he summarized, he said a very classic sentence: "Everyone is an ant on a rope, great leader Chairman Mao educated us: For any problem, we should take an analytical attitude, don't negate everything."
Then the descendants of the Wind surname saw this Hong Village, those people came from a distant era, that era had the legend of Nuwa Fuxi, the legend of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors. In the eyes of later generations, it was an era full of strange and absurd things. All sorts of unbelievable events were passed down through words or language from generation to generation, we call them myths.
"Myth is something that cannot be verified, and there's no way to verify it. But I thought of a method that might work. If the little white really is in a different world from us, as they say, then I'll just re-enter that world again."
That night, Cha's house was filled with thousands of people crying. Cha Wenbin tried to recreate everything from that day, the Taoist incantations and scriptures he silently recited again, but unfortunately, his pen never moved this time, no matter how many times he tried.
"Can't you even start it by yourself?"
Cha Wenbin didn't know either, but this answer seemed to be getting further and further away from him. Now everything points to the same thing: time!
"Negative space, negative space," the words kept appearing in Zhang Wenbin's mind, just as he was getting anxious. Suddenly, he looked around and saw that there was no one in front of him, and the entire world had turned pitch black. He raised his head to see the starry sky spinning above, and similarly below his feet. He quickly rubbed his eyes, and Fatso was still sleeping on the table, while Ye Qiu was sending Old Xia home.
He thought that maybe he was tired, otherwise how could he suddenly feel as if his whole body had no strength. He asked Pangzi: "What time is it? Has Autumn returned?"
Fatso dazedly opened his eyes and said: "What time is it now? That heartless old man went to sleep early, I told him you were possessed by a demon, but he insisted that you were in meditation and told me not to disturb you." As he spoke, Fatso fell asleep again.
"Has he gone into a meditative state?" Cha Wenbin realized it had been some time since his last meditation. He turned around to look at the wall clock behind him, and now it was already 4 o'clock in the morning. He remembered that Old Xia had asked Ye Qiu to send him off at around 10 o'clock, so how did he unknowingly pass six hours?
Wait a minute, he seems to have thought of something! Suddenly he slammed his hand on the table, startling Fatso so much that he jumped up from his stool with a mouthful of water, then looked up and laughed loudly: "I get it, I get it!"
"Autumn boy, Old Two, Old Two!" Fatso kicked the sleeping Ye Qiu with a loud bang: "Get up quickly, Master is going crazy!"
Ye Qiu and Pangzi rushed over, but Cha Wenbin was already in the yard. Fortunately, this was a remote mountain village. If it were in the city, someone might have called 110 by now. "Hello, 110? There's someone disturbing the peace here in the middle of the night..."
He kept spinning around in circles on the spot, his hands raised, and his mouth would say "I understand, I finally understand" one moment, and then burst into "Hahaha" laughter the next.
"Look, is he crazy or what!" Fatso wanted Ye Qiu to take charge, but Ye Qiu stopped him: "Don't go near him, he's in a state of enlightenment, he must have realized something, broken through something, just let him digest it for now."
About half an hour later, the three of them sat in the yard, and Cha Wenbin finally calmed down. There was a kind of joy in his eyes, a kind of joy that had been found after searching for a long time. He said: "Just now, I thought it was just a few seconds, but actually several hours have passed. Gu Lao said that I can enter that world, and I didn't understand it before, but I understood it just now. It's like entering a state of meditation, where several days and nights pass, but in my mind, it's just a flash, which means the time jump of my thoughts is slower than the actual change outside. Looking at it slowly, but actually fast, because it's too fast, it feels slow instead. Xiaobai may have entered a state of meditation, leading to a completely different change from me. Her jumping speed was too fast, so that even her own body was deceived. Time didn't reverse at all, it's just the body thought it reversed, so...
Ye Qiu said: "Just like a person's hair turns white overnight, the body can be deceived by thoughts. Her thoughts are going in reverse, she must have seen the past, so her body is also developing towards the past... then what did she see?"
"That's right, this is the question, what did she see?" Zhang Wenbin said: "Just now, I suddenly understood. Laozi said 'independent and unchanging, moving in a cycle without danger.' In the Tao Te Ching, ancient people regarded time as the Tao, describing it as 'welcoming it without seeing its beginning, following it without seeing its end.' When situated within time, Laozi also said: 'The Tao as an object is only vague and obscure.' Meaning that the Tao has no shape, cannot be described."
I was just thinking of Chapter 21 of the Tao Te Ching, which clearly states: "Indistinct! Indistinct! Within it there is an image; indistinct! indistinct! Within it there is a thing. Remote! Mysterious! Within it there is a vital essence. Its vital essence is very real; within it there is a trust." I tried to use the image, thing, and vital essence to look at the Tao in my heart, trying to describe it. I saw the vast universe, and how small I am in it. This shows that negative space is true and trustworthy, and can be changed and grasped through thought.
"Just like the space I entered, you can't get in and won't be able to see it, even think it doesn't exist, but it does. Two kinds of heaven and earth, fourfold yin and yang, I finally understood what Old Gu said about science, our ancestors had already written them down!"
What is the double heaven and earth, four yin and yang?
"The Two Realms of Heaven and Earth" refers to the two realms of voidness and substantiality, "Four Yin Yang" refers to the pre-heavenly yin-yang and post-heavenly yin-yang. Taoism believes that the time-space of the pre-heavenly void world is a virtual number, while the time-space of the post-heavenly real world is a real number. The former is a metaphysical realm, also known as some high-level realms, dimensions, and perspectives that people often talk about, which require certain cultivation to attain. The latter is a physical world, which is the world we see with our eyes, the former requires mindfulness to perceive, while the latter exists inherently.
For example, a steamed bun, what Fatso sees is just a steamed bun that can fill his stomach, while Zha Wenbin sees the cycle of the four seasons and the transformation of all things. The former is a world that cannot be reached by the thinking function within the utensil world, and it is also a realm that current human scientific instruments cannot observe. Its existence is currently a kind of presence outside the basic functions of human senses, which is what people usually think of as "nothing", or "Tao"!
"Our Taoist teachings believe that nothingness gives rise to existence, and we think that the 'nothing' we commonly see is actually the real existing 'existence', which is different from the understanding of ordinary people. Ordinary people always think that there must be existence first, and then non-existence is not existence, Laozi's meaning is that there must be nothingness first, without nothingness where can you have space for existence? The so-called Tao that can be spoken of is not the true Tao, nothingness is just no existence, it is to say that it cannot be expressed, this is the Tao! The Tao exists, then negative space also exists, and the virtual world also exists!"
I entered the virtual world from the real world because I opened a door, just like when I was in meditation, unable to distinguish between reality and fantasy, unable to tell time. Guan Fei let me know that there are still many things waiting for me in this world, so I shouldn't have seen my own ending so early, so I came out. But Xiao Bai is still entangled with her past, this past is not the one in front of her, otherwise she wouldn't have transformed so quickly. Pangzi, I remembered, when we were in Northeast China, wasn't there a painting?
Now that you mention it, the fatty really remembered that the painting was found in an underground palace, and the woman in the painting was holding a cat in her arms, dressed in ancient attire.
"That painting seems to be with Xiao Yi, I remember when we left he wanted to give that painting to Xiao Bai, but didn't they break up later? Xiao Bai went abroad and lost contact."
"It was at his place, I remember seeing an old painting under his bed, that's somewhat correct, fatty. And there's something else I want to tell you, it's good that you're heartless, or your ending would be the same as hers."
"What do you mean? Don't scare me!"
Zha Wenbin said, "The words on that sword are very likely to be carved by you yourself. In short, something must have happened to us that we don't even know about. Xiaobai is probably going to find the person in the painting!"
