Fabio walks up to Yves as his creations are fighting for him.

  “I couldn’t find any paper.”

  Yves looks at Fabio, only nodding, then looking at how the Skinwalker fights. Trying to find its weakness before it tries anything suspicious.

  Yves creates his ink knives and runs towards the Skinwalker, he prepares himself to dodge and try and aim for the heart as it’s their weak point.

  Fabio stays back, waiting for any opportunity for him to heal Yves or to help him by giving him his point of view in the fight as a spectator.

  Yves and the Skinwalker start going at it. They both swing intending to hit the enemy in a vital place.

  The arms of the skinwalker transformed into those of a praying mantis, which allows it to have a longer range compared to that of Yves.

  Yves tracks the movement of the Skinwalker.

  The Skinwalker swings left, right, up, down, and in every direction to try to create something.

  Yves mostly dodges or tries to attack, but the disparity in strength is big enough to make Yves also rely on his creations.

  The warriors and archers under the command of Yves begin their combined attack.

  Ink arrows fly with some hitting and others missing, and later ink evaporates and returns to Yves.

  The warriors attack with Yves; the Skinwalker manages to kill the warriors with little difficulty, but they are as annoying as pests due to them being able to heal with the ink remaining in Yves.

  Yves retreats as he sees that the Skinwalker is losing his strength, but its body is impenetrable. Yves tries again and lands a fatal attack, but when he gets close, he sees that the head of the Skinwalker has transformed into that of a black mamba.

  Yves is so close that it is almost a guarantee that he will be bitten. His only options are to land his attack and kill him before he gets hit or try stabbing the mouth of the Skinwalker to prevent it from biting him but that option will leave him vulnerable to any other attacks as he will be fighting for his knife out of the mouth.

  Yves takes the gamble and goes to kill the Skinwalker before he bites him.

  Yves disregards the danger, getting so close to the vital organ that all he wants to do is kill the Skinwalker before dying.

  Yves hits the heart but he can't feel the bite, he knows that something has happened.

  Yves looks down; he stumbles back after seeing that the head of the Skinwalker lies at his feet. He knows that he did not do this since his warriors were not strong enough to penetrate the skin, nor him, as he was focused on the heart. Then who did it?

  Yves felt someone grab his shoulder.

  “Good job.”

  Yves looked up, seeing Adam, his sword covered in blood.

  Yves' mind returned to normal with no apparent side effects from all the things that he endured.

  “D-did you do this?” Yves asks as his hair and eyes begin changing back to their normal color.

  “Yes, now report back.” Adam is stunned by the sudden change in Yves but decides to hide his curiosity and instead shows his professionalism.

  Fabio runs to where Yves and Adam are, his hands trembling as he sees how easily Adam cut the Skinwalker's head in one swift swing.

  Fabio gets closer, and before he can ask Adam, he vanishes, leaving behind only a footstep that quickly fades away.

  Fabio opened his mouth, but no sounds were produced. He tried to speak as Yves looked at him as if he were mute. When he could finally produce a sound, Yves ran to see how Leia was.

  Fabio extended his hand but ultimately lowered it; he knew that there was a huge discrepancy between the two.

  Ahhh!!!!

  A blood-curdling scream can be heard through the entire city; both Fabio and Yves are alerted by the scream. Yves tries to invoke his ink creations, but his mana dries up, his legs begin shaking uncontrollably, he loses strength, and he falls.

  Yves looks up and sees that Fabio is nowhere to be seen. Yves needs him to heal him, but there is nothing Yves can do as his entire body begins to shut down.

  “So they defeated the wendigo.” Yves giggled and then passed out from exhaustion while having Leia in his arms.

  …

  Fabio saw how Yves was walking with no complications, so he decided to go and fulfill his mission as a healer and help others who weren’t as strong as Yves.

  Fabio searches through some of the debris to try and find any survivors.

  In Fabio’s first search, he heard someone cry, his hands transformed and he began pulling the debris away to try and rescue this person.

  He pulls out large chunks of debris; he is surprised how the person managed to survive with the amount of things on top of them. Fabio took another large piece and could finally see a golden strand of hair.

  He pulls out the large piece of debris and sees a young girl crying as she is being squished, Fabio’s hands radiating white and all of the cuts and broken bones that the young girl had begun slowly healing.

  He knows that the fight is over due to the appearance of Adam, but now they have a bigger problem.

  Fabio picked up the small girl and carried her on his shoulder as she slowly healed; he needed to continue helping others.

  Beside the young girl, he could hear the faintest of screams, he took a deep breath, put the now much calmer girl on the ground, and started taking out the debris.

  Fabio continues to take the debris; slowly but surely, he gets cut, but his healing allows him to not suffer any pain he can’t support.

  Fabio could now hear a louder cry of another person; he started going faster to try and help the person.

  He sees another strand of golden hair; he takes a large piece of debris and sees a woman, her jaw completely smashed, her bones smashed and bleeding out of every side. He knows that she is in danger of dying.

  Fabio begins healing the woman, first, he tries to heal her internal organs and sees that they pose the highest risk to her life.

  “Mom!”

  Fabio heard the voice of the young girl as she saw her mom in such a horrible condition. Luckily her jaw was fixed enough to not traumatize the young girl.

  The young girl runs into the hands of her mother, but Fabio stops her before she can cause more damage.

  The little girl started crying.

  “Don’t cry, don’t cry, Mom is here.” The woman mustered the strength to speak and pat her daughter's head.

  Fabio could feel tears falling down his cheek.

  Both the woman and the girl look up at Fabio as they see him crying.

  “Mister, why are you crying?”
