Chapter 64: The Awakening of the Sovereign Ice

As Arfrotian heard the last words of Eterna, his consciousness faded into darkness. Everything around him turned black, a vast abyss swallowing him whole. Yet, even as the void embraced him, the echo of her voice lingered in his mind—"Darling! Take care, because you are my everything!" Those words, carrying all the warmth, sorrow, and love she could muster, resonated deep within him, far beyond mere sound. They became an imprint on his very existence.

  And then—stillness.

In the heart of the Icy Temple, where fate had first intertwined their destinies, Ice Phoenix remained immobile, cradling Arfrotian’s unconscious body in her lap. Her pristine white wings, shimmering with icy flames, were folded around him protectively, as if shielding him from the world itself. Her arms securely embraced him, ensuring that no harm could come to the man who had risked everything—his life, his soul, his very existence—just to fulfill his promise to her.

Her gaze, soft yet filled with overwhelming emotions, remained fixed on his still face. His breathing was faint, his body devoid of movement, yet his heart—miraculously—still beat. The fact that he had even survived was something beyond reason. Even for a being as powerful as her, it was incomprehensible.

Nearby, Zenian stood frozen—both physically and mentally.

Half of his body was encased in the Eternal Frostheart’s ice, an eternal reminder of his failure. His minions fared no better—some frozen solid, others half-trapped like their master, desperately trying to break free.

Yet, even in his current predicament, Zenian's gaze burned with frustration and disbelief.

His golden eyes fixated on Arfrotian—the man who had just absorbed two cataclysmic forces without crumbling into oblivion. The same man who, without even trying, had somehow won the heart of the Ice Phoenix—the very being that Zenian had long desired to claim for himself.

And that truth—it gnawed at him like a relentless storm.

"What the hell is with that man?!" Zenian's thoughts were a chaotic mess.

  It was inconceivable.

Had he fallen into eternal slumber from the reckless stunt he had pulled? That seemed like the only logical outcome—no being should have survived what Arfrotian had done. Even now, with his body lifeless in Ice Phoenix’s embrace, the mere fact that his heart still pulsed was nothing short of a miracle.

  And then, there was her.

The Ice Phoenix. Even as she muttered herself,

"How, much time will it take for Arfrotian to wake up? or Will he remain in this slumber state forever?"

oh no, she said to herself, "I shouldn't think of such grim things, he will wake back up again, right?"

Ice Phoenix, who had even attempted to destroy this entire Omniverse which she had initially sought to protect just to attempt to reach to Arfrotian while he risked his life, was enough to show just how deeply ingrained was Arfrotian into Ice Phoenix's soul, this shocked Zenian.

The way she looked at him—not with mere gratitude, but with devotion. With something so deeply entrenched in her soul that even Zenian, a fallen archangel who had lived for eons, couldn’t comprehend.

For countless ages, he had tried to possess her, to make her his, to break her will and claim the Eternal Frostheart as his own.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

And yet—this man, this nobody, this Arfrotian—had done in mere days what Zenian could not accomplish in millennia.

He clenched his frozen fist, a surge of rage boiling within him, only to be drowned out by a far greater emotion—fear.

  Because then—it happened.

From Arfrotian’s still body, a sudden shockwave of pure white ice erupted.

The temperature of the temple plummeted instantly, surpassing even absolute zero, as the ice resonated with the very essence of the Eternal Frostheart.

  And then—red ice.

A second shockwave, this time a deep, blood-red ice, surged forth from his form. The sight alone made Zenian’s breath hitch in terror. He knew what this meant.

  Pandora.

The forbidden, paradoxical force that even existed beyond destruction itself. An entity of ice so terrifying that it froze the singularity of existence.

Ice Phoenix gasped as she felt the power swirl around her, her arms instinctively tightening around Arfrotian. This wasn’t normal. This wasn’t even something she, the very guardian of the Icy Omniverse, could comprehend.

"Arfrotian… is he…?" she whispered, her heart pounding.

She leaned forward, pressing her forehead gently against his, her wings enveloping him even more tightly.

Zenian, despite himself, found the words slipping from his lips.

"So… is he finally going to wake up?"

Even in his frozen state, Zenian felt the sheer weight of the unknown pressing down upon him. Arfrotian had already proven himself to be a nightmare—if he awakened now, what would he become?

And then—on Arfrotian’s forehead, it appeared.

A symbol, forming slowly, its glow pulsating with an unfathomable power.

  An icy crown.

It exuded an undeniable aura of divine royalty. The very essence of a sovereign.

  But that wasn’t all.

The moment the crown fully manifested, the entire Icy Omniverse responded.

In Rodentia, where Zenian’s forces clashed against Luvania’s ice-shadow elves, aided by Azuraelis and Asura’s faction, the battle came to a sudden halt. The environment shifted—the very air became charged with an unfamiliar essence of royalty and ice.

Luvania’s sharp, ethereal gaze darted across the battlefield as she muttered,

"What is this sudden change? It’s as if… a new type of essence is being woven into the very foundation of the Icy Omniverse."

Even Azuraelis, the Goddess of Infinite Tides, despite her origins from another Omniverse, recognized what was happening.

"This… could it be? When a new sovereign is chosen by the divine consciousness of an Omniverse, similar phenomena occur…"

Zenian’s faction, sensing the shift, began celebrating.

"Our master has done it!" they cheered. "Zenian has become the sovereign of the Icy Omniverse!"

When Luvania heard this—her blood ran cold.

  "No… this can’t be happening…"

She knew what it would mean if Zenian truly became the ruler. Genocide. Enslavement. The total annihilation of her race.

Her hands trembled, clutching her arms tightly, her voice a whisper of dread,

"Was Zenian in the Icy Temple this whole time for the Eternal Frostheart… is why he wasn't here in this fight.....?"

Azuraelis, seeing the fear in Luvania’s eyes, stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"Don’t worry, Luvania. I won’t let anything happen to you or your people. Besides, we have Arfrotian. You’ve seen it yourself—he’s a sleeping monster, and when he awakens, even if Zenian somehow claims the throne, we will stop him."

Luvania could only cling to that hope.

Meanwhile, in Luminia, panic spread like wildfire.

Inside the grand celestial palace, Queen Asura sat on her throne, her hands pressed to her forehead in deep thought. Around her, her official angels whispered in horror.

"Is this the end for us?" one muttered.

"Did Zenian truly become the wielder of the Eternal Frostheart?" another questioned.

Then another one just daring not to think said fearing,

"What will happen to us, we were his rivals, but now with becoming the king, of this icy Omniverse, would he just rule us out, or even worse....?"

Every angels panicked, and Asura just said to calm, "Please calm down everyone, we shouldn't believe...."

  And then, a shudder-inducing statement.

"My Queen, have you not seen Zenian’s vile gaze upon you? He has always desired to claim you, your beauty…"

A chill ran down Asura’s spine.

  She gritted her teeth.

She could only pray that fate would favor them.

Afterall, no one knew, that their new King, was not what they were thinking it to be.
