Chapter 77: The Fool’s Delusion and the Ice Queen’s Malfunction

Arfrotian, the most shameless master alive, continued his deep slumber, fully indulging in the warmth of his Ice Queen—or more specifically, her back, which he had shamelessly claimed as his personal heavenly love bed. His face was completely buried within her divine, icy-soft feathers, sinking further in as if he wanted to merge with them. His breathing was calm, his body relaxed, and his presence so casual that one wouldn’t even believe he was the supreme ruler of this entire omniverse.

Meanwhile, Glacialix was still undergoing severe system malfunctions.

Even though she was gliding effortlessly through Rodentia, the omniverse's most lifeless and frozen megaverse, the turmoil in her mind was anything but calm. The raging icy storms howled and roared around her, capable of tearing apart lesser beings, yet they did nothing to her mighty phoenix form. Nor did they affect Arfrotian, who was buried deep in her feathery back, completely unaffected by reality itself.

  Her large, glacial-blue eyes twitched.

"Huh? Master, you never change, not even a bit..." she muttered, her voice soft, carrying a mix of frustration, helplessness, and something else she refused to acknowledge.

As the wind raged around her, her thoughts wandered. She sighed deeply, her icy breath blending into the already freezing air.

"...Guess that's why I like him."

At this point, Glacialix just gave up on denying the obvious.

She wasn’t sure when it started or how it happened, but somewhere along the line, this ridiculous, bold, and utterly shameless man had become her world.

And now, here she was, flying through a battlefield, while carrying her sleeping master on her back like some kind of oversized ice-themed mattress.

  Then, her eyes narrowed.

She had spotted something below—a vast frozen landscape, stretching endlessly beneath her, the icy desert shimmering with a silver-blue hue under the storm-filled skies. And within this frozen battlefield, she saw them—

  Angels.

  Shadow elves.

  And chaos.

The battle was raging, swords clashing, spells colliding. However... something was wrong.

Some angels weren’t fighting the shadow elves at all. Some were fighting alongside them.

Her phoenix eyes sharpened further as she quickly analyzed the battlefield below.

“Huh? Angels fighting angels and shadow elves?” she murmured to herself.

  Then it clicked.

  "Oh, I see."

She instantly understood what was happening.

The angels aiding the shadow elves must be from Queen Asura's faction, while the opposing angels—the ones currently celebrating instead of fighting—had to belong to Zenian's faction.

She was about to descend when she suddenly noticed something odd.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

  The battle had... paused.

The angels under Zenian's faction weren’t fighting anymore. Instead, they were cheering, as if they had already won.

A deep frown formed on Glacialix’s face. Her icy wings flapped once, and her divine senses spread outward.

"Huh? Why are they celebrating? Did they actually win the fight?"

  Her glowing eyes flashed.

  “Let’s hear what they’re saying…”

Still high above in the sky, she activated her divine hearing, tapping into the conversations below.

  And then she heard it.

One of the Zenian faction angels shouted with joy,

"WE HAVE WON! This change in the omniverse’s essence is the sign of the awakening of the new ruler!"

Another angel laughed loudly, his voice filled with arrogance.

"Hohol! Our plan succeeded! While we diverted their attention, our great Lord Zenian infiltrated the Ice Temple and successfully conquered the Eternal Frostheart!"

"Yes! That’s why this sudden change in the environment of the omniverse happened—it’s recognizing its new ruler!"

Another Zenian faction angel smirked, raising his sword high.

"With this, our Lord Zenian is now the supreme ruler of the Icy Omniverse!"

"And now, the Ice Phoenix will be under our Lord Zenian's command!"

"We will become the true dominators of this frozen realm!"

Glacialix’s mind went blank for a solid second.

  Then—

  "...What the actual hell?"

  Her glacial-blue pupils dilated.

"How… HOW THE HELL DID THESE FOOLISH ZENIAN’S ANGELS EVEN COME TO THIS CONCLUSION!?"

She was so utterly stunned by their stupidity, her wings almost froze mid-air.

Her first instinct was to blast them into oblivion for daring to assume that she—THE Ice Phoenix—would ever submit to anyone other than HER MASTER.

  Her feathers bristled in anger.

  But then—she paused.

  "...Ah. I see."

She sighed, her irritation fading slightly.

“Well… my Master is an outsider. These idiots probably don’t even know about him.”

  She pityingly shook her head.

“I actually feel bad for them… They truly think they’ve won.”

Her expression softened into a smirk of amusement as she thought,

  "The new ruler isn't Zenian…"

Then Glacialix's expression turned to that of pitying those foolish angels of Zenian's factions as she thought,

"I truly pity them..... the new ruler is an complete outsider who they could never have thought would even become the ruler..... and I'm not following their orders, I follow only one Master's order who's......."

Her sharp gaze flickered backward, glancing at the sleeping figure resting so comfortably on her "heavenly love bed."

She let out another deep sigh.

"...the new ruler, and is currently SLEEPING ON MY BACK."

She had never felt more conflicted in her life.

  And then—

  Arfrotian moved.

Still deeply asleep, he shifted on her back, burying himself even deeper into her feathers.

Then, in his sleep, he muttered—

  "Ahh... my dear... Glacialix..."

  Glacialix froze.

"Yeah... stay like that... and let me enjoy... the warmth of your being... I want to feel each and every fiber of your...... being...."

  Glacialix’s entire body shut down.

  Her mind shattered.

  "M-M-MASTER?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!"

  Her phoenix heart was screaming.

Her wings almost flapped the wrong way from sheer shock.

"WHAT THE HELL DID HE JUST SAY?!?!?!"

She shuddered, her entire form trembling.

"MASTER! WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY 'FEEL EACH AND EVERY FIBER OF YOUR BEING'?!?!?!?!"

  Arfrotian, still fast asleep, smirked.

  Glacialix lost all control.

  "M-M-MASTER!!!!!!!"

And then, as if to finish her off, Arfrotian muttered again in his deep, calm, sleepy voice,

"...because... you are... my... Ice Queen..."

  Glacialix’s entire system completely short-circuited.

  She screamed internally.

Her face burned red—even in her phoenix form, the heat could be felt.

Her mind was a scrambled mess.

"MASTER! WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS LIKE THIS?!?!?!"

And yet, deep down, her heart whispered,

"...Master, the shameless as you are, I could never get enough of it from you..."

And so, with her mind completely shattered, her master still soundly asleep, and Zenian’s foolish angels celebrating a false victory,

Glacialix continued listening the foolish angels of Zenian’s faction, while being utterly malfunctioning as well.
