Davi speaks as if he's very old, but he's 19, but he knows that the lady will probably say something about it, but he wanted to make sure he really heard it, and the lady takes the opportunity to say:
“It wasn't like that in my day, you need to stay close to your girlfriend, you need to stay closer to her.”
Luke stops in front of the entrance door, there's no way he couldn't have heard the whole conversation, he was in the corridor just in front of where they were, he's a bit confused:
(What was that all about? Kiss? Pierced boy, is that me? Because I don't remember anything about it, I can't get into trouble at a time like this, but this guy somehow bothers me).
She sighs deeply, and decides to walk out the door before she gets into trouble, after all, how is he going to assume something he did, if he doesn't even remember doing it, but he stops midway and notices that he didn't see Ana leaving the pharmacy, he should go after her to confirm this story properly, but just then his cell phone rings, it's Paul, his friend from school:
“Hey Paul, have you got any drinks for the party tomorrow?
Paul answered happily on the other end:
“Yeap, my boy, mission given mission accomplished, I got some good stuff, but we need to hide it as usual.”
Luke thanks him, talks to him some more on the phone, Davi goes out the front door of the pharmacy, looking for Ana, and deduces that she's hiding at one of the tables, and goes after her, Luke sees him leaving, says goodbye to Paul on the phone, and goes after him, yes he's going to stay hidden listening to the conversation, Davi notices that Ana is sitting on the table with her back turned, he pokes her on the arm and scares her, since she's distracted thinking:
“Ahhh, what a scare Davi, it doesn't come like that out of nowhere...”
Davi laughs loudly, and puts down the bag with the products he bought, his cigarette and some drinks, he hands her a can of soda and him a beer, she opens her soda, he opens his beer, then lights up a cigarette, Ana then says jokingly:
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
“Yeah, die soon, smoking and drinking, at least this way you won't embarrass me any more, you just don't have to kill me together, you idiot.”
Davi blows cigarette smoke out of his mouth into Ana's face jokingly and says:
“Pff, it's better than those aromatic candles of yours, they almost suffocate me, I don't know how you manage to sleep with a lit candle.”
Ana retorts:
“My candles calm me down, help me sleep, and you just stay in the guest room and don't bother me.”
Davi lets out another puff of his cigarette and speaks in a more serious tone:
“Now I'm serious Ana, what's all this about kissing, you haven't told me anything about it.”
Ana tries to fix the words she missed:
“It was a dream, just a dream.”
Davi makes a face as if he doesn't believe this dream story, that it was just a dream, he sighs somewhat uncomfortably, but remembers another detail about the dream, and asks:
“A dream?,Speaking of dreams, have you stopped having nightmares about that training accident in your garden? You seem more confident about your training now.”
Ana nods and says:
“Oh about me setting fire to the garden at home you say, I haven't dreamt anything in a while, I've improved my skills a lot though...”
Ana pauses, sighs deeply, Davi senses that something is wrong and asks:
“Did something happen? If it triggers you, we don't need to talk about it, I just commented that you seem more confident, which isn't a bad thing.”
She seems calmer now as she takes a big sip of her soft drink, and almost ends up telling me about what happened in the shed today:
“Well, I'm more confident, yes, the problem is that my confidence has gotten out of control...again.”
A couple comes out of the pharmacy door, Luke, who was leaning against the side wall listening to the conversation, pulls away from the wall and disguises himself. He takes a drink from his bag and opens it, taking a sip. He thinks it's better to go home before they find out he was listening to the conversation, but he hasn't had confirmation of the kiss story:
(Strange, because they don't seem to be a real couple, at the ice-cream parlor they seemed to be, but here they seemed quite casual with each other, they're more like friends, if it really was a boyfriend, he would have gone after me, because I'm sure it's me he was talking about, but because I don't remember kissing her, she's always with friends and the boys seem to do whatever she wants, that's why I crossed her name out in my book?! I must have had a relationship with her, and something happened, Justin talked about the accident that was a fight with Scoot but he didn't tell me any more details, and I feel like that “thing” in my mind is very quiet, is it because of the pingent?
Seconds later, a voice comes into your mind, your host or “thing” says:
“At last you remembered me, pendant to block me ha ha? I just let you do what you wanted for a while, but I'm getting bored, we need more excitement kid...”
Luke makes an annoyed face, of course he can't forget the host that inhabits his body and mind, he takes the last sip of his soda, sighs, and throws the can across the street.
His host concludes:
“You're already angry, yes that's the kind of emotion I like in you kid, but we need more...”
Luke scratches his head, still annoyed that he can't get rid of his host so easily, so he speaks aloud:
“Hell, I need something to get my adrenaline pumping...”
