Quick update - I am alive, I've just been extremely busy and been drained. I'm going to pick things back up once work settles down, but I wanted to just give a heads up that it's not a medical condition but more a need to get juiced up again - Writing for me is a hobby and I needed a bit of a break to think about how I can keep the ideas about how things happened on point with the themes that you've seen so far.

  Thanks to everyone who's been reading thus far and enjoying the story. My main goal is to finish it - I feel like this is pretty close to halfway - and go back and re-write and edit it into something more suited for treating blocks of story as books, as well as maybe linger a bit longer on the actual city of Cascadia and Cryptids and other modern mythological creatures, as well as give Corvayne more time being a normal bro and working his way up through 'normal' life doing odd jobs to support dungeon diving while sometimes having to chase a were-racoon through a dump.

  I have a fascination with the idea of sci-fi and fantasy characters just doing a job and some of my aborted 1 chapter files involve trying to frame what someone does in an exciting but predictable day-to-day in a system world - I try to at least have a jab at how societies function even if sometimes it's 'the system is giving them a big hand'.
