Fishman Karate

Arlong looked at him with bloodshot eyes as he wanted to beg for mercy, but fear made him speechless. Chu Yang looked at the blood that came out of Arlong, it reminded him of the pain he experienced when the Jailer branded the hoof of the Dragon on his chest. It triggered his anger as he would never be subservient to anyone anymore. He would never let anyone trample on him, ever again.

"What are you doing?" trembled Arlong. He was about to faint when the killing intent of Chu Yang woke him up again. "If you were to kill me, you cannot stay on the ship any longer. Ani will not anyone who killed his companions, even if the one who did it saved his life." Arlong was hysterical, trying to make him see reason. "Just now," Chu Yang said "if I promised you, would you let me go? Will you leave a human like me alone?"

Arlong was speechless. Just as Chu Yang thought, Arlong had no intention of letting him live at all. Even if he were to let him go, he would at least cripple and throw him into the sea to fend for himself. Besides he only had to lie to Fisher, saying that Chu Yang left on his own. After all, Fisher would support a Fishman, even if the lie was pretty obvious.

"You're no different from the humans that you hate." Chu Yang loosened the grip of the trees, as Arlong's body hit the floor. It wasn't as if he suddenly felt sorry for Arlong, he still had to stay on Fisher's ship. And couldn't kill Arlong as it would create discord between him and Fisher. More importantly, Jinbei was standing behind him with Armament Haki wrapped around his arm, ready to save Arlong at any moment.

As Chu Yang turned around and asked calmly, "When did you suspect something was wrong?" Jinbei gnced at the bloodied Arlong on the ground, "It was when Arlong volunteered to show you the way to your cabin, that I knew he wasn't that generous, especially to you." Jinbei smiled bitterly, "I knew he would do something stupid, just that I never expected that you..."

Chu Yang took a long breath, "That I would win and almost kill him?" Jinbei nodded, "No wonder Ani said that you saved his life, turns out you're a devil fruit user." Frequent use of wood release bottomed out his reserves, he was now very tired, "If you're going to throw me out, at least show me to my bed. I just want to get some rest right now." Before leaving the storage room, Jinbei looked back at Arlong's battered body and sighed.

Arlong's hatred for the humans was deeper than that of the others on the ship. If he didn't learn how to control it, he might even get killed in the future. He took Chu Yang to his bed and then quietly left. He rushed back to Arlong and took him to the ship doctor for treatment. Later, the news that Arlong got thrashed by the new human spread like wildfire on the ship. Jinbei thought of covering it up but ter gave up the idea. Many others had the same idea as Arlong, this might serve as a deterrent for them to not act as recklessly in the future.

Chu Yang didn't know, that overnight Arlong became a ughingstock on the ship. The next day when he woke up, he found that the people started looking at him differently. There was less disgust and more surprise and panic among them. There was a very obvious sense of distance between them. "Seems like the word spread pretty fast, that's good." he mused. From now on he can peacefully focus on his training and not be disturbed.

Chu Yang had no intention of getting involved with the Sun pirated, this was just a temporary stopping point for him. "I apologize, I take responsibility for what happened yesterday," said Fisher as he walked at the bow of the ship. "It's not me who got hurt, so there is no need to apologize," he replied. "Besides, this might be a good lesson for Arlong and the others who might have the same agenda here. Arlong won't be able to walk for at least a few days, might teach a lesson as well." "That's true, he might stop looking for trouble less in the future." Fisher looked like he was going to have an aneurysm. Although he was a Fishman as well, he didn't like the way Arlong took the matter so aggressively.

"If there is anything I can do to make up for it, do let me know." Although the formation of the Sun Pirates was completed, Fisher still didn't treat him like a member of it and was quite polite. They are partners who have been together for a while, but they might diverge in the future. They had a tactical understanding of it. "I want to learn and spar with Jinbei. Can you ask him to teach me?"

"Jinbei?" Fisher was stunned at the request but then smiled "Sure, you have quite the eye. That kid is pretty talented and will probably become the best of us fishmen." Chu Yang Scoffed internally. Of course, he would, otherwise, Jinbei wouldn't have become a Shichibukai and one of the strongest practitioners of Fishman-Karate. What he wanted to learn from Jinbei wasn't just Fishman-Karate, but also Haki as well.

Yesterday he had seen his application of armament haki. Not too ter Fisher expined about the training to Jinbei, and although he was wary, he still agreed to teach. He began Chu Yang's training the very same day. He didn't know what Jinbei's mental state was, but he wanted to end this training as soon as possible. But as a result, it only took him three days to gain an introductory level in Fishman-Karate as his progress climbed like a rocket. Even though he was a human, his progress surprised Jinbei. In his opinion, it surpassed most fishmen in general. Jinbei continued to intensify the training regimen as Chu Yang absorbed it like a sponge.
