Dest into the Unknown
Audi kept walking, his mind cirg around the cryptic message:
"If you wish to unlock the true potential of this job, seek out Hel. Desd to Floor 90. There, the answers await."
The w his thoughts. Floor 90? His brow furrowed. Am I in a different pce? In his adveown, the Tower only had 100 floors, with Floor 50 being the highest accessible one. Ahis message hi something deeper—something beyond his uanding.
As he wahrough the eerie expanse of the Floor, his steps halted before a massive gate, its worn stone frame marked with the number 100. An unnatural chill crawled through the air, thick with an eerie silence.
Just beyond the gate, half-buried beh yers of dust and time, y an a stoablet. Its surface pulsed faintly with cursed energy as if whispering his name. Audi hesitated, then reached out.
The moment his fingers brushed the stone—
A blinding light erupted, searing through him.
A fotten power stirred within—
[Skill Acquired: Regains]
A skill that restores lost memories based on the number of brain cells ed.
A fragmented memory surfaced, vivid yet inplete—
He saw himself... not as a zombie, but as a human. Sitting at a desk, flipping through the pages of a manuscript. His fingers, were whole and unmarred by decay. His body, is untouched by death.
"What... what is this?"
Shaking off the shock, Audi wiped more dust from the tablet and deciphered the a inscriptions:
"Seven cursed tablets lie scattered across ive Floors 100 to 40. Each tablet carries the final message of the Zombie King. Only a chosen zombie i their power. If you seek the truth, gather them all. Only then shall you obtain the key to the Heaven Floor."
Audi’s breath caught.
ive Floor? Heaven Floor? Zombie King?
The words burned in his mind. What truth? What key?
But what uled him most was—
"How am I even able to read this message?"
Then, his thoughts shifted. Regain Skill? Eating brains?
He licked his lips absentmindedly.
"That actually sounds... good. Tasty, even..."
His eyes sed the decayed ruins.
"Is there a brain somewhere in this dead pce?"
Arrival at ive Floor 100
Pushing deeper into the abyss, Audi stepped onto Floor 100.
A wave of rot and decay crashed over him. The air was thick, saturated with the stench of death. Shadows twisted in the gloom, the whispers of lost souls slithering through the void.
Then—movement.
Hostility met him the moment he arrived.
Emerging from the darkness—
Zombie Ratata – A grotesque, undead version of the onon rodent monster.
Zombie Slime – A deg, corrupted form of the getinous creatures found on the normal floors.
Zombie Goblins – A group of snarling, rotting goblins, their lifeless eyes gleaming with hunger.
These creatures weren't mere strays. They carried a dangerous aura, rivaling that of a Gate 4 Boss.
Audi’s eyes widened.
"A Ratata... but undead? A Slime... but undead? And... Zombie Goblins?"
Rustle.
A flicker of movement—
A Zombie Goblin lunged from the side, swiping at his backpack.
Audi's instincts screamed, but it was too te.
The goblin had grabbed hold of something.
A sb of meat.
Audi froze.
His steak.
A dark shadow passed over his face.
"Wait..." His fiwitched. "You’re after my steak?"
A moment of silence.
Then—
"THAT’S MY STEAK!!!"
His aura fred.
"Summon!"
The air crackled, a deep violet glow erupting from the ground as three figures emerged from the void.
But something was different—
The summons had evolved.
[Evolved Zombie Summons – First Job]
Swordman Zombie – A battle-hardened undead wielding a rusted yet deadly sword.
Tank Zombie – A hulking mass of rotting flesh encased in heavy armor.
Ice Mage Zombie – A skeletal mage, its hands pulsing with chilling magic.
Audi smirked.
"Alright... let’s see who’s hungry now."
