Chapter 20 – The Reaper of death
Inside the Dungeon.
?Hey, who are you? You don′t seem to belong to either Noons or Dawns soldiers? Are you an outsider?”
A group of 7 people walked into the cave-like Dungeon stood in. Three of them wore orange clothing and four of them were blue.
-It seems like everybody got mixed up.
“Who are you?”
The group of people unsheathed their swords.
“Okay let′s do this.”
“Come on get me! I won′t even need my sword and armor for the likes of you.”
The group of soldiers got irritated by what he had said and one of them shouted,” Get that madman right now!”
“Hey, you don′t get to order us around.” One of the oranges dressed soldiers barked back.
Activate your most powerful skills!
Nonetheless both parties attacked Kage simultaneously.
He stretched out his hands, pointing towards the enemies rushing in on him.
“Devour”
Underneath his white shirt purple rings began to light up. A black and purple mist started to leak out of it. He could feel himself being absorbed by the energy of the Abyss as he activated it.
The 10 Rings of the Abyss.
All the skills that had been activated had been absorbed by the mist, into the 10 Rings and then multiplied their might.
“Energy outburst”
The power of the skills had multiplied, and the energy shot out of the mist straight at the soldiers. With only one brush of the black energy, the soldiers vanished like leaves on a stormy day. Nothing remained of the bodies, not even ash. It was as if they got erased from the universe.
“I don′t remember the last time I used these.”
System-
Restarting in progress - 13%
“What?” An Interface appeared before him. It seemed familiar but he couldn′t remember, due to the losses of his memory.
“A System and restarting? What is this about? I feel like I know this, but when I try to remember it, my head starts screaming in pain. It′s already at 13%. Why doesn′t it go up??”
Kage could only think of one reason.
“I need to fulfil certain conditions to restart this system, but is that really a good idea?”
…
“Whatever it is I am sure this will help me remember the past in some way.”
As I looked around in the cold cave-like dungeon I noticed that the surroundings seem different from the one dungeon before.
“This dungeon seems different from the one before, these spiky stones weren′t here before.”
A drop of water fell to the ground.
As he took better notice of his surroundings he noticed, “The air here fells wet, there should be some liquid nearby.”

There was only one way ahead, one Path that he must take to advance forward. As he walked through the small pathways, he noticed something flowing on the ground. A green liquid.
“I think I saw this green liquid somewhere before. Ahh right this was in the other Dungeon at Eryndor, the capital of Valandor too.”
Time passed and he followed that liquid through the Cave like Dungeon.
…
Kage activated his deep concentration as he walked, his eyes closed behind the mask he wore. As his senses heightened, he noticed the smallest of noises. Suddenly slashes of swords against each other were hearable in the far distance. One after another they clashed.
The moment Kage hears them he speeds up and runs to the noises hastily. After quickly reaching the origins of these noises Kage witnesses a cruel battlefield before his eyes.
Few Minutes ago.
In the middle of a big round room in the Dungeon, there were numerous soldiers of both blue and orange clashing each other. They had about the same number of soldiers, both sides numbered about 30 soldiers with a leading force at the front. On the blue side there stood a personal servant of Noon wearing a black assassin like cloth, she had short brown hair and eyes, but those weren′t visible due to her wearing a mask. On the other side, where the orange armored soldiers stood, there stood a man at the front dressed in the same black clothes. He was one of the personal servants of Dawn.
Each side fought another fiercely. But when the two servants made their first move the whole cave fell into silence, the whole atmosphere around them changed. The common soldiers were choking by the immense energy they felt.
“Noon′s second servant, Revel.”
“I′m Dawn′s second sword, Namel.”
Both stated their names with what honor they had left behind with them.
As they unsheathed their short swords behind their backs, both got ready for the battle ahead of them. Both hold a dagger behind them as they stare into the eyes of their opponent, the clashes of swords around them already had been continuing, the soldiers were immersed into their battles themselves, but they couldn′t ignore the powerful energy the two released by just staring into one another’s eyes.
At the same time, they jumped off at each other’s throat, in the matter of milliseconds the fight had unfolded. Sparks of swords slashes flew through the giant room. They jumped off the walls one after the next.
Back to present.
Kage witnessed their exchange of swords firsthand.
The green liquid followed to this room, but in this giant room there were multiple paths ahead, the path had split, and the green liquid only flowed out of one of them.
“So that must be the was to the heart of the Dungeon.”
Kage suddenly got quiet and closed his eyes to focus, rocks fell from the roof as it got nearer.
-Something big is coming.
The two Nomel and Revel noticed it too and jumped back from the midst of fighting. Only the common soldiers hadn′t noticed so far, but as the trembles got louder even, they noticed it.
“What is this tremble?” one soldier asked.
“Maybe it′s just another fight deeper within the dungeon?” barked another.
- “The noises come from the Direction from where the green liquid had been flowing.” Kage noticed.
The whole room suddenly fell into silence once again.
“Maybe it was just some-..”
The whole wall behind the soldiers broke apart and threw giant boulders of rocks around the room. Burying many soldiers under it, half the soldiers had already died from the battle between each other, but now only a few remained.
The area was shrouded in thick, ink-black mist, one could hear the steps of a for legged monster closing in, it dragged something along the way because as it came closer the sound of a spiky boulder filled the entire room. With each step, the hearts of the soldiers skipped a beat. Both armies started at the opening that had been created, each had only about ten soldiers left.
As they waited for the next step that never came the soldiers slowly started closing in on the Opening covered in mist. As they got as close that their hands could touch the mist, one soldier stretched out his arm towards that mysterious mist, he touched it and felt like water just like the water that brought them inside. But as he tried to pull out his arm from the ink like water, he noticed it had been completely stuck. Soon after he noticed something drop on his arms, he reaches out with his free left hand and touched it, it was slimy and see through. Another drooled on him from above and as he lifted his gaze upwards, he saw the head of a spiky Monster starring right at him.
“Please…God.” He mumbled.
Tears began flowing out of his eyes as he stood there helplessly with his hand locked up.
The Monster slowly opened his mouth, and drool flew out of it, in an instant the Monster bit off his upper half and threw the other half of the body against the wall behind the soldiers.
Right after he roars fearsomely, it places the soldiers into fear, even Kage, that only observed from afar felt the danger. As he steps out the mist with one foot after the other foot, his whole body slowly gets revealed. This Beast is about 4 to 5 meters long, 2 and a half meter high, his body was baptism with the color grey. Almost every part of his body is covered in heavy armor with long ink-colored spikes on them. The ink-colored water flying around his body acting as a shield to block off all attacks it caught. A tail dragged along the floor, the 3 meters long tail has a big round boulder at the end, with countless ink spikes attached to it.
“Oh fuck!” One soldier barked after the monster's fearsome roar.
As Kage looked down at the Monster from above, his insides began screaming in pain as a voice kept on repeating himself.
- “Kill, kill, kill…”
He grabbed his head on pain and silently stated, “A Shadow Monster.”
…
The soldiers shaking in fear, sweat drooling down on each and every one at the sight before them. The cold and wet air choking on their throats, not even light dared to approach that Monster, even the Reaper of Death watched this upcoming Battle, to collect the souls of the fallen pest. The Monster stood there threateningly on the rubbles of stone he had broken by his entrance.
Even the servants of the leading forces of Nacht were shocked by the emergence of such a Monster. It stepped forward and stared into the height above, probably noticing Kage at the top. Unlike before he widens his lungs inside and lets out an enormous Roar creating soundwaves and shaking the entire cave.
The Legs of the common soldiers gave out and they fell to ground afterwards. The green liquid that was flowing around the room slowly started turning into an ink black liquid, it started from where the beast stood and slowly started poisoning the liquid around it by turning black. The corrupted green liquid now after turning ink black was under the control of the Monster. It controlled the shape, speed and properties of the liquid. As the liquid started flying around his body, enlarging the previous amount of it.
The servants of Nacht stood there besides each other forsaking their battle for the moment, with their short blades in hand, they grabbed onto their dagger with all their might preparing for the impact of the first move of that monster.
And then it began, a battle between Monsters.
In less than milliseconds the monster reconstructed the liquid around him and gave them the hardness of diamond, it started shaping into spikes like flying a pyramid and as it began rotating faster and faster in a circle.
The servants prepared for the impact and timing to dodge the attack, but they were met with surprise instead. The spike seemingly missed them and flew to the roof at an immense speed.
- “Did it miss?” Namel asked.
Right after Revel stated, “We weren′t its target from the beginning, its after something else.”
At the pathway where the shot had been fired rubbles of rock fell to ground. The people below noticed someone standing at the edge of that pathway staring at the Monster only.
“Who is that?” one soldier asked.
“More importantly, I didn′t even feel his presence”. Barked another.
The Monsters gaze fixated on that mysterious Man alone.
“Abyssal Nexus”
Armor made from the Abyss enveloped that man, made of black and purple energy and there appaired a long sword in his hands, a Nodachi.
The Monster started gathering the liquid it had gathered. As the liquid flowed into place in the sky, hundreds of deadly spikes formed up in the sky about to be launched at his enemy.
