  Chapter 79: Alone, Bored.

  Clang!

The God, unable to notice Celia’s strength, attacked her upon sight. He had clearly hidden himself, yet someone found him. So Ven assumed that the woman before him was another player.

  Ven: “…”

Celia: “…Are you done?” She asked, unbothered.

Ven’s sword hit Celia’s neck, but, instead of decapitating the woman, the sword was stopped. It merely made a clanging sound, indicating to the attacker that… he couldn’t hurt Celia.

Ven: “You… are you a player?” He finally replied, trying to calm down.

Celia: “Yes, why ask this?” She replied, seemingly confused as to why the God asked such a stupid question.

Ven: “This is ridiculous!” He exclaimed.

Celia: “What is?” She said with a head tilt.

In truth, the God’s anger is justified. The Game threw away any sense of fairness, all in the hopes that its meaningless life would come to an end. To ensure this, the Game didn’t even bother to pair Celia up with people on her level. Not like any person like that was in the Game right now…

Ven: “At the very least, if you were a Goddess, you’d be cut. Instead, you’re what? Something higher than even a Supreme Goddess…” He said, aggrieved.

  Celia: “Highest Goddess.” She corrected.

  Ven: “( o_o)”

At her correction, Ven turned around, and flew away as fast as he could. Of course, with Celia’s current race, this action was pointless.

  Thud!

Appearing above the God in an instant, Celia kicked him, sending the man shooting to the ground. Left in a large crater, Ven could only spit up blood and groan in immense, dying pain.

Celia: “…” “Oops… I guess that I have to try harder to control my strength.” She thought with an embarrassed tone.

Without the System, Celia needed to relearn how to handle her power. Her System did many, many things, which Celia didn’t notice before.

Controlling her power, was another one of the automatic functions of the System. Now no longer having it, Celia accidentally almost one-shotted her enemy.

Celia: “Hey, are you alive?” She asked, poking him with a sheathed sword.

Ven: “…” “I’m going to die!” He exclaimed in his thoughts.

Despite just now healing Ven, the God was still unable to speak. Celia’s attack even contained Divinity, and it wasn’t like she bothered to heal Ven’s soul. Yet…

Celia: “What about now?” She asked once more.

Ven: “I…I forfeit! Please, don’t kill me!” He pleaded, kneeling on the ground, knowing full well that the powerful woman before him, just wasted Divinity, seemingly just to gloat.

Celia: “Forfeit? Can you even do that?” She replied with an unsure tone.

But, before the man could answer, he vanished. In reality, there was no forfeiting in this Game. If there was, Celia and her family would have just given up long ago.

And in the original timeline, her family wouldn’t have died in it. Which was the cause of Celia’s confusion. Not wishing for Celia to stain her hand in blood right now (as it would damage her bleeding soul), Maralia took Ven away, and with her rights and position overseeing the Game, caused him to lose without dying.
