As expected, most people were reluctant to trust a creature larger than some villages. I couldn't really blame them seeing as they had just been driven from their homes. Stil, a surprising number decided that going with me was better than going it alone. Especially after it became known they wouldn't be allowed to stay there much longer. I requested to take the sick and elderly first. At least the ones that were willing to come. They didn't yet know why I would make such a request, but they granted it all the same. I can't exactly cure old age, but I should be able to cure most of the aches and pains that come with it.
There were a surprising number of wounded that were willing to join me. Judging by the number a suspect most of them were just tired of waiting to be seen by a healer. As they began to get transported up thanks to telekinesis and transported to the makeshift clinics my experience points started to climb once again. Slowly at first but then faster and faster. It didn't take long before I could feel a level up coming. That's when I realized a warning about the impending level up wouldn't do any good. As far as I know nothing else grows when it levels up like I do.
Thinking quickly, I used telekinesis to hold myself up off the ground while retracting my legs. Something I only just realized I haven't actually done in a while. The people who were waiting to be lifted up are understandably confused by my actions. That confusion soon turns to a mix of astonishment and terror as they watch my size instantly increase by 25%. This time I once again choose to receive the skill points instead of a new skill.

As the effects of my level up subsided and I examined myself once again a sudden realization hit me. I'm now bigger than most if not all of the mythical Kaiju. Which I also just realized may not be as farfetched as most humans back on earth think. The only one possibly larger than me is one I forget the name of, but its footsteps while walking forward are said to be what caused the earth to start spinning. Not that I believe any of those myths I just can't help but feel they're not as farfetched as I once thought. Perhaps my great grandmother was right. Every myth holds a grain of truth.
Aside from the increased size I also maxed out my regeneration. My regeneration is so powerful right now at one health per second that I no longer need to worry about death by a thousand cuts. Any enemy would need to outpace my regeneration to have any chance of killing me. Once my mirror shield reaches max level I will have a near perfect defense.
As for the people who were waiting to be helped up. It takes some time but eventually my chosen diplomates are able to assure them that I can only get stronger by healing people which is why I asked for the sick and injured to get priority. Soon enough they resume coming up and my experience points resume their climb upward as well. I don't quite get enough for another level up but I'm not that far off either.
Then comes the healthy people. Not as many as I would have liked but there are a few notable individuals. One that really stands out is an architect who is intrigued by the challenge of building houses on ground that is constantly in motion. I didn't have the heart to tell him that from the perspective of those on my shell I'm not moving it's everything else that moves. Still, I do need to be careful. At my current size if I ran at full speed, it would cause those living on my shell to experience hurricane force winds unless I use air manipulation to constantly part the air in front of me.
Soon enough everyone that wants to join has been brought up. Before leaving I grab some nearby soil and use it to increase the amount of soil on my back, Especially, near the edges where there isn't any due to me having just expanded. I also increase the thickness of the dirt in the future elven forest. this takes a great deal of concentration because I have to lift the dirt around the sapling so that I don't uproot it. I still think it would be better to go ahead and plant a bunch of trees like the humans have done but they insist that the Great Mother will decide how the forest is to look. The human forest on my other side is easier even though there are multiple trees. Humans don't consider trees sacred after all so if a few saplings are damaged while increasing the amount of soil it's not going to start a war.
Once I'm finished, we start heading south instead of a northerly direction, against my better judgement. We do run into a few refugees but none of them want to join us. Probably because we're heading towards the danger. Surprisingly though the further south we get the more likely people are to join us. Eventually it gets night, and I decide to rest. Before going to sleep though I make sure that there will be people keeping guard and trying to recruit others who happen by in the middle of the night. With all the dirt on my back I kind of resemble an ordinary large hill or small mountain. This should make recruiting people to join their settlement much easier.
